i knew the vibes between pin and ayane were off for a while now but if they do end up together i'm genuinely going to be so disappointed because this story has been so perfect so far. but i'm happy that kurumi finally apologized and moved on
SUCH FEELS with Sawako and Kazehaya! The depth of their relationship and the support they have for one another is amazing! I didn't think I could be as invested in a relationship like this in fiction because they aren't "hooking up" or getting married (at least not yet but I hope they do!), but it is such realistic fiction it's amazing! Maybe that doesn't make sense, but seeing Kurumi with Sawako and then Kazehaya with Sawako just makes ME get excited for these characters! Everyone is growing and changing, but not in a bad way. Bittersweet sometimes? For sure, but I know everything is going to be okay. Wait, as Kazehaya said, everything will be fine! <3
I LOVE that Sawako and Kurumi were able to truly discuss their relationship and reconcile. That's so dang rare in romances. It's so cool that Sawako's friendships with the girls in her life are given as much attention has her romantic relationship.
With that amazingness, super disappointed with what is an obvious romantic relationship developing between Ayane and Pin. No teacher/student romances please, it's icky.
there is so many reasons why i wished the anime continued and this volume with kurumi and sawakos friendship growing is one of them!!! in the anime kurumi is semi made out to be a villain but she gets redemption here, she genuinely feels awful for what she did and wants to be sawakos friend and not rival. she’s just grown so much!!
and at the end we finally see ayane realise who she’s in love with and it’s too much ヽ(;▽;)ノ
I don’t really like Kuromi so these past few chapters were just ‘meh’ for me.
And even though we all knew it, Ayane’s crush on Pin has finally been acknowledged (by herself). I really hope is just a crush though and that they don’t end up together by the end of the series.
Teacher/student romantic relationships are a big NO for me and not just because I’m a teacher myself but because they are not good. You can have a crush on your teacher (in fact, is something super common) but if the adult accepts it and pursues that relationship then he/she’s not more than a creep. And even if they get into a relationship after the student graduates high school that’s still so wrong (and some may even say is grooming).
I really expect better from Pin so I hope he (and the writer) don’t disappoint me.
this book is scarily overdue but i don't regret the amount of money i'm going to have to hand over to the library, it was absolutely worth it to hang on to this volume until i got around to reading it
i honestly don't know why i waited so long, like did i forget how much i love everyone in this story? did i forget how much joy the love they all have for each other brings me? was i afraid i would give myself a sore throat from all the happy little screams i had to let out every time sawako builds her relationships with kazehaya and her friends?
(sawako and kurumi did a number on my throat this volume but i don't care!!! i love them!!!!!!!!!!!!! also )
i'm going to cry so hard when this story is over, i can already feel it ;_;
The last time I read a volume of Kimi ni Todoke was over 4 years ago. The series was stalling for me, and so I decided to take a break. Revisiting this series after such a long time was not hard at all; perhaps it's a tribute to the manga-ka's character development that I felt like I was revisiting old friends and able to jump right back into the story from where I left off without any problems. The story is a gentle telling of high school students as they prepare to graduate, pursue dreams, and maybe even say goodbye to friends as they move on with their lives.
i’m so happy kurumi and sawako are becoming closer ! ayane and pin though… please why it’s so weird. if he wasn’t her literal teacher and she wasn’t in high school it would be fine but… that is not the case so. ew. i already knew something was going to happen so i’ve prepared myself but… come on. if it’s just a crush on her end then whatever that’s fine but i’m a bit concerned.
edit during reading vol. 29: now that she finally told him it’s fine. i was worried for no reason. i guess obviously he wasn’t going to reciprocate.. i was just a bit worried bc you never know lol

I haven't read this series in a while, so it took me a minute to get back into the rhythm. Like, I know who the main characters are but who are these two blonde girls that look exactly alike? (Turns out it was Ayane and Kurumi). And what was this "fight" they had? Most of the volume was a SNORE, but I rounded up because Chizu made me giggle a few times. I loved this series so much in the beginning, but I'm starting to feel like it's beyond stretched out, and I'm ready for it to end. :(
Well, the book covers of this series are certainly accurate, as the contents of this volume do indeed (mostly) focus on Sawako and Kurumi's relationship. That aside, Sawako and Kazehaya seem to have finally been able to hear each other out after their 'fight', and more developments on the Ayane front.
Home stretch of four more volumes left to go, and then I'll give my series-wide review!
3/5 Another super quick volume. The story is still simmering on the end of high school. Nothing terribly exciting in volume 26. Kurumi has a study sleep over at Sawako's and they hash over their past and their plans for the future.
Sawako and Shota hash out their first quarrel. And Ayane works out some complicated feelings.
Still enjoyable but with out any real conflict or plot development it feel's like it's run it's course.
The last chapter! kyaa I knew it's coming but IT'S CUTE. Anyway, this volume majorly focus on Kurumi and Sawako's friendship, it's a long time coming but I'm glad they can say what's on their minds and bugging them. I really like their friendship, them being friends.. I don't think any of them think or want it before but it just happened naturally, how despite Kurumi's denial Kuronuma is affected and inspired her to be better and same goes for Kuronuma, they unwittingly help each other.
I love that Kurumi truly apologized to Sawako for the past. She definitely regrets it and I’m glad to see her and Sawako become so close. Who knew liking the same guy would help you become friends later on?
And the ending with Yano and Pin!?! I KNEW IT!!!! I sensed this happening VOLUMES AGO!!! Will anything happen though? He’s older and has always said that he doesn’t like “kids”… But god, I love that love finds you when you least expect it!!!!
Wow, Really enjoyed this volume, pretty good! : ) I Really enjoyed this series too, So good omg!! Sawako x Kazehaya are so adorable together and the sweet friendship & support between her and her friends is so beautiful, Love this series, enjoyed the anime too : ) definitely recommend this series if you love shoujo / romance type series or if you love manga : )
