An absolute fandom-classic that for once really deserves the title.
From the fantastic concept, to the superb execution this is one of the best fics about a possible trial of James Barnes out there.
I think the added social media voices are what elevate this so much. Because they are all of us. They speak like us, they react like us and they care about the exact same things we care about :)
The cute ending is the sappy cherry on top of a story that actually pulls zero punches when it comes to what Hydra did to Bucky during his 70 years of captivity.
I might be biased because I'm studying law, but this is brilliantly written and the character development is well-crafted. Various types of media are incorporated (court protocol, interviews, newspaper articles, tweets) and it's hands down the best piece of fanfiction I've ever read.
This fic is a fandom classic. The multimedia format works really well with the concept of the story, and it's not something that is normally seen in fanfiction, which makes this fic unique. By far, I really enjoyed the social media voices- I could see myself in the fic, which made it that much more heartwarming. There were a few emotional punches pulled, but these served to further the story and worked within the universe.
The ending was what cemented this fic as a comfort fic for me- I mean, what could beat

oh man i loved all of this so much what a fun read it was easy to follow and the different formats were so fun as well and even just through dialogue the characters were so distinct (loved sam’s easy humour, and also obviously i’m biased towards my bb natasha and i’ll love her in anything) i love ao3 authors this fic had me shaking in bed at 1am if god hates gays then why do we keep winning
