This is the perfect post TWS fic for me. But over 6k of kudos tell me that I’m not alone in this and having read a lot of Stucky fic at this point I’m comfortable calling this a classic.

In the same way I love Supernatural for being a show about the family business, I love the Marvel movies for being spectacular action movies first. The emotional involvement with the characters comes not from shipping them with each other but because I genuinely like them and like the stories that canon tells about them. And then I want to them to please get it on in fic, sure, but that’s just the icing on the cake.

This story is the perfect fusion of the things I love then, because it is an amazing action thriller with a plot worthy of its own movie that also adds in complete emotional devastation and explicit smut.

Steve and Bucky have found each other, they even live together and this could be the beginning of a wonderful recovery story with cameos from Natasha being a badass and Sam Wilson being the treasure he is right?

Well, yes. But then again, having Hydra still lurking in the shadows and deciding to stop lurking, two utter idiots being in love who just won’t get it and enough plot twists to have your head spinning makes for a much better story :)

I would gush more about the plot but it is so twisty, heartwrenching and filled with surprises that it would just spoil the fun. I will say that it definitely has a happy ending even if it may not seem that way sometimes. (Seriously, it’s edge-of-your-seat there several times).

Love yourselves and make sure you can finish this in one setting, you won’t want to stop until it’s done!
