For years, renown chef Donovan Foster made his life in Denver, way too busy with making a culinary name for himself to stop and pick up a wife and kids along the way. When he realizes that all of his friends in Buttermilk Falls are settling down, he begins to feel idle. Sure, business is good, but he’s tired of his life. Convinced he’s lost his spark, he decides to change directions straight back to Buttermilk Falls in search of it. Being fired by Donovan Foster two days on the job had been one of the worst days of Zoe Mathews's life. Humiliated, she’d hightailed it out of Denver, looking for a fresh start, opening up a frozen yogurt shop in Buttermilk Falls. Nearly a year later, she’s licked her wounds, running the Ice Heaven shop on Main Street. Little did she know that Donovan is the town’s golden boy who recently returned home to find his spark. During a brutal blizzard, Donovan runs into Zoe, but can’t place where they’ve met, a secret she’s determined to keep, even after the snow stops flying. He, on the other hand, is drawn to the beautiful, blond newcomer who possesses the spark he’s been missing. As Zoe tries to keep Donovan at bay, Mother Nature has a master plan to bring them together – or possibly it’s the town’s supreme matchmaker pulling the strings, even though she’s dead. One Sweet Match Up is a laugh-out-loud contemporary romance with a touch of magic, a small town full of loveable characters, and one sassy, matchmaking ghost. It’s the fifth book in the Bachelors of Buttermilk Falls series.

Oh my sweet! Now I want to move to Buttermilk Falls. The small town, the snow, the cute little stores and that little magic! This book is romance book with a new twist which is magic. Based on the rating, I hesitate at first, but I take a chance. Feeling that 'magic' promised on the blurb. And I like it very much.
The story is short and sweet. There is that insta lust or shall we said, insta magic. The character does not have a depth development. But no matter. Its still a very beautiful cute story. In some part of it makes me smile. I now very interested learning about this soul matching magic. It is a shame that the rating of this book is still low. I hope this book can gain more fans.
Ghost Mary up to mischief again in Buttermilk Falls
Enjoyable but not as exciting as the previous books in the series. I could not really get into the character of Donovan. Plus a frozen yoghurt shop being opened in a town that experiences heavy snow and extreme cold weather is rather strange...
This was another cute addition to this series. Zoe was a bit down at the start, her business in it's down cycle, then she is forced to face a horrible day in her life when she realizes that Donovan Foster is back in town.
I was so so on Donovan at the start, he seemed a bit stuck up for this down to earth community. But as things went on and he sort of embraced the signs Mary was sending him he grew on me. I really liked his idea to get Zoe's business more traffic, was the perfect addition. Donovan almost lost me when he realized where he knew Zoe from and pulled a dick move. I'm glad that people were around to help him get his head together and he listened to Mary once more, because in the end he got the girl.
I love this town Robyn Neeley has created. I have enjoyed every book in the series, including this one. When Zoe moved to Buttermilk Falls, she had no idea it would be the hometown of the one person she left Denver to escape. Donovan, a well known chef and former playboy, leaves his top rated restaurant to return back to where he grew up in search of the spark that he feels is lost in his cooking. Their passion for food isn't the only thing that brings these two together, especially when a little magic, Mother Nature, and help from the great beyond, keep pushing these two together.
Enjoyable series that melts the heart with the matchmaking event and ghostly Mary. Enough to keep you happy and the sex scenes are alluded to but nice romance too.
If it had been longer, I’d have given it 5 stars…and if the premise of the backstory been more fleshed out and less contrived…maybe I’d have liked it better. I’m glad that Will is becoming less of a man whore and more of a real dude. The next book is his and Rachel’s story and it’s the last in the series. I’m on to that one next.
Absolutely a fun and entertaining story! The magic is questionable at the time of presentation, but, it all falls in line at some point! Laugh out loud series!
