The Marriage Pledge is an awesome addition to the Veils and Vows series. Amy and Moe are so afraid of losing what they have they can't see what they could truly be. There were times I wanted to slap them for being so obstinate. But, as they say, the path to true love never runs smooth. Knowing they have such a solid foundation for their friendship and love, I knew they would figure things out eventually.

There are plenty of outside influences to add drama to the story with Moe torn between buying the bar and wondering if he really wants the responsibility. Worrying if he can be a good father or if he will take after his parents. Amy also worries about being a good parent but for different reasons.

I highly recommend reading The Marriage Pledge. I urge you to read the entire Veils and Vows series.

I picked this up because it was advertised as a sweet marriage of convenience story, and I guess that technically it was. It actually has lots of sex—all within marriage and closed door. I ended up speed reading much of it; I wanted to see Amy and Moe get together, but I also wasn't overly interested in the story. There were also a lot of characters that were hard to keep track of—this is the 5th book in Oram's Veils & Vows series. Reading this book was a diverting way to spend a couple hours, but I don't know that I'll seek out the other books in the series. 2-1/2 stars.

Sluggish

Persevered with this book which was well written but just couldn’t get behind the plot. Struggled to find anything mature about Amy who seemed liked an immature teenager. Sorry.

I loved Moe and Amy! Oh my gosh, they were perfect together. This is a friends to lovers trope. Actually, it's a friends to lovers to friends to lovers to friends to lovers. Yep, they had given the sex and love route a try or two before, but always went back to being friends. They are best friends and they have a pact that if neither is married by the time Amy turns 30, they will get married. She's 30 and now they are married so that they can have an in vitro pregnancy and start a family...only they didn't realize ho expensive it is to go that route. What now? Back to the basics!!!
I really adored this book. There were some other issues thrown to make for more plot and a better story. It all worked really well together. Oram is a great story teller. She also keeps her stories clean and sweet. She may lead you to the bedroom door, but once the characters cross the threshold it closes again. Believe me, she manages it in such a way that it only enhances the relationship of the reader and the characters. This was just a fantastic read!

I liked the storyline but I really have a problem with authors that don’t do a little research before diving into an unknown topic. A simple internet search who have revealed that in vitro and artificial insemination are not the same thing. And while in vitro is very expensive it is not what Amy and Moe would’ve had to do. I guess that wouldn’t fit the plot well though. It just amazes me the number of romances I’ve read that are marketed to women but no research is done on pregnancy and/or fertility, it’s insulting. Other than that the story and characters were fun.

Friends to lovers can be tricky

These two have been best friends for years, they have tested the waters a couple of times but it just hasn’t stuck. But when she gets dumped by her current boyfriend, they make a marriage pledge.

What starts out as a marriage of convenience soon turns into so much more, but they are both afraid that if they feel too much they could inevitably loose their best friend.

But will they discover that love is worth the risk before it’s too late? .......🥰

A clean and sweet romance with some swoon worthy kisses.

Marriage between friends

Amy and Moe have been best friends for a long time. They've even been together several times but both back away from a real relationship. After Amy's last breakup, she and Moe make a marriage pact that if they are both still single by her 30th birthday that they'd marry each other so they could have children together and be a family as friends. Everyone else sees that they love each other but will they see it before it's too late? I really liked this book and seeing how Amy and Moe complement other other's personalities.

For The Young Generation Only

This is a well written book with good characterization and a lot more pluses. For me, though, it was problematic. As a victim of the 60's Sexual Revolution I learned quickly that nonmarital sex springs a lot of very difficult traps, that waiting for "I Do" and remaining monogamous is far, far superior for many reasons. Because of this, the plot in this book was one that left me so sad about the way sexual freedom has destroyed lives that I could not finish. But if you are like most secular young adults today you will probably enjoy this

This was an enjoyable book about Amy and Moe. These two were best friends, but they had been friends with benefits in the past. They make a pledge and when Amy turns they get married. Amy is very unorganized and seems really flighty. She has a hard time sticking to one thing for very long. Moe is a dependable guy. These two are great together. Moe is trying to buy the pub he works at, but things keep going wrong. Amy tells Moe that he needs to step back and look at what is happening objectively and they can figure it out. These two have to learn to trust each other.

Amy and Moe had danced around their relationship for years trying to figure out just what they meant to each other when desperation finally had them agreeing to marriage at age thirty if they were both still single. This delightful story showcased all of their insecuries and longings as these two amazing, caring individuals discovered true devotion and enduring love for each other. This was such a wonderful, heartwarming book. Great Job!!!!

The fifth book in the Veils and Vows series I enjoyed reading Amy and Moe's story about a bet they made years ago. This story had me smiling, but there is also a villain. I want to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Best Friends Forever and More

Moe and Amy are best friends who always drift back to each other for solace. Amy is adventurous and Moe is steady but they never seem to risk their hearts. Great series. Recommend.

I enjoyed this story. I liked the story line, setting, characters and the writing style of the author. This a romance with a little bit of mystery. It was a good book to get me through a day pent in bed sick. It lifted my spirits and Kelly me entertained.

Love is blind

Amy and Moe have been best friends forever. In spite of their lustful feelings, they are afraid to move forward. Fear of losing their friendship almost ruins their lives.

I really struggled to like Amy. She drove me crazy. While I liked Moe he also drove me crazy. I had a hard time finishing the book. But I had to see if the ending could redeem it. It didn’t really help much.

Moe and Amy's love story was sweet but a bit predictable. The story of the business proposition was intriguing. Easy reading and would recommend

3.5 stars.

A sweet, well deserved ending. I found myself getting irritated with both Amy and Moe for being so pigheaded and clueless. Glad they finally figured it out.

Not quite

This would be a book for people who like romance novels, however, didn't quite give me the realism I need in a good read.
