VICTORIA “V. E.” SCHWAB is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of more than twenty books, including the acclaimed Shades universe, the Villains series, the City of Ghosts series, Gallant, The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and The Fragile Threads of Power. When not haunting Paris streets or trudging up English hillsides, she can be found in Edinburgh, Scotland, tucked in the corner of a coffee shop, dreaming up monsters.
Anyone can be born a prince. But no one is born a leader.
Maxim has decided to enter the Night of Knives which is made of four trials. Each trial is designed to challenge a different kind of strength. Isra warns him to not enter because she entered and quit in the second trial and no one has ever gotten to the fourth door. Maxim still enters. Would he make it? We'll find out in the next part.
This story is getting really interesting now. I still don't know how the magic works but the story is getting mysterious and I can overlook the magic part. Art is definitely better than The Steel Prince.
I imagine how mad the ones who read this issue when it came out for the first time must have been when they read the end. I would be mad, if I were them. However, sure, I didn't imagine Night of Knives to be trials when I heard it for the first time in A Conjuring of Light. It's not disappointing. Just, somehow unexpected for me, but usually, what I expect don't come true, so... Never mind. I like the comics and the Steel Prince, so now, I'm sure I'll read all of them.
I'm loving the color change in this new arc for Maxim, a bit lighter in shade so we can see more of whats going on. Even though this is the arc that takes place at night for the Night trials/tournament.
I'm really excited to see how Maxim does in these tournaments, if he will be able to gain the respect of the men he leads. After reading this second issue of the arc, I know I already need the other two right now so I can read it all at once! I just have to wait till my other issue come in!
I actually really liked this issue! I liked the action scenes and getting to finally see the Night of Knives in action was just so cool. I also really loved the use of color in this issue! It really highlights the feelings of unease in every little part of the story. This one is getting a solid four stars.
No naprawdę chapeau bas.
4.5 Solo hace falta un pequeño mistake para que caigas y una gran destreza r inteligencia para sobrevivir... El futuro de la corona y la vida de Maxim están en riesgo...
My only problem is that if he got stabbed in the foot how on earth is he balancing???? The art is so much better in this part, I am really enjoying it!
