Raging Rival Hearts is a spinoff told from Lily's point of view.
Hunters are the enemy. That was what we faeries were always told.
Breaking my engagement to the man I had loved my entire life was a dangerous move, one that got me expelled from the faerie isle. I’d known the risks, though. I’d known that if Cruz, Cat or my brother didn’t find a way to get me home, the fire in my veins would dwindle until it was gone, and with it my life.
With mere weeks left to live, I set out on a last adventure: discover if more Daneelies had survived the massacre, the same way Catori’s ancestor had. Although I’d decided to go alone, Kajika insisted on accompanying me.
I wanted to believe he was coming because he liked me. But I was still the enemy…the mute girl whom he could hear speak when no one else could…the one person who could track him when he didn’t want to be found.
This riveting spin-off will appeal to fans of The Mortal Instruments and The Vampire Diaries.
Olivia is a USA Today best-selling author of romantasy. When she’s not swooning over her characters’ steamy escapades, or plotting their demise, you can find her sipping wine and crafting her next twisted, romantic masterpiece, all while trying to convince her children and leading man that she loves them more than her laptop.
Thank you to the author & Audiobx for an ALC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
Raging Rival Hearts is a spin off that features Lily Wood's perspective. Since Lily broke of her engagement with Cruz, she's been sealed out of Naverre and her days are numbered. With the realization that Cat is a third type of fae, Daneelies, Lily decides she'd rather spend her last days trying to track them down. Unfortunately, Kajika decides he must accompany her.
This was a decent spin off. I really enjoyed getting to know Lily and see her relationship with Kajika develop. Also the friendship between Lily & Catori was everything I wanted. However, the plot was a bit lacking. The Daneelies don't even cross Lily's mind until around 40-50% of the way through this book. The other main plot point of this book was Cat & Ace trying to find a way to get Lily back into Naverre without the death of Cruz. In the end, I was very disappointed with the solution that happened.
I'm kind of sad this is the last book the focuses on Lily and Catori. They are by far my faves of this world, especially Cat. I am curious to see what the next book holds though.
I actually like this book the most! Lol Kajika is hilarious! Love Lily and I’m so sad about Cruz!! I feel like we need to bring him back. All in all I really enjoyed this series!
Another great story! I can’t believe how well the story of Lily and Kajika have been developed. From the very beginning of The Lost Clan books till now, it’s great to read how they both have been changing and growing. From contempt to love, Kajika and Lily are really awesome to read about.
Still we see in this book how they both interact with Cat, Ace, Cruz and the other characters from previous books but also how they deal with new situations and meet new characters that aren’t friendly at all.
Sweet, tragic, funny, emotional and so entertaining. This book as the previous ones, have kept me awake at night since I couldn’t stop reading. I’ve suffered lack of sleep these day but totally worthy due to The Lost Clan books.
I did not expect to enjoy this book as much as I did. The trilogy had ended and this book was told from the perspective of two characters that I didn't really care for. But boy was I Wrong.
Wrong and happy about it. In fact, this might be my favorite in the series. The main plotline of the series has been concluded but there are some important loose ends that need to be resolved in this one. I think the simpler plot really helped. And my love for Kajika and Lily is endless! I liked Kajika when I first met him but then soon hated him and the opposite with Lily. But they might be my two favorites in the series now. I loved their story and I wish we had more!
This series keeps getting better and better, winning its well-deserved place in my all time favorites. I’m totally and utterly in love with the Lost Clan. In this book, we get to reconnect with our favorite couple Cat and Ace while falling for a new pair of starcrossed lovers. The pace is perfect, with never a dull moment, and the characters are so superbly crafted you can’t help rooting for them. Can’t wait for the sequel!
Raging Rival Hearts is the exciting fourth novel in Olivia Wildenstein’s The Lost Clan series and is a passionate and thrilling story featuring the lovely Lily Wood and brooding hunter Kajika as they fight to save Lily’s life.
Lily Wood is dying. After breaking off her engagement, Lily was locked out of the faerie world of Neverra and as a result the fire in her veins is slowly dwindling. Months have passed and as her brother and close friends have searched for a way for her to return home her body has finally begun breaking down. With only weeks left to live, Lily wants to make the most of the time she has left and do something good for those she loves. Setting out to find the elusive Daneelies seems like a great way to give her sister-in-law Cat something; a connection to her people. Yet Lily’s travel plans take an unexpected detour when the darkly haunted hunter Kajika decides to accompany her. Lily wants to believe that the stubborn and infuriating hunter is coming along for her but with their people enemies, Lily knows there can never be anything between them. So why does he constantly haunt her thoughts? As Lily’s time begins to run out, will she be able to find a miracle? Or is her time up just when she has found something to really live for?
The Lost Clan is a series I have come to highly adore. The world and storyline Olivia Wildenstein has created has never failed to capture my heart and soul and as Cat’s story came to a close, I was thrilled to learn I would still have the opportunity to immense myself once more in this mouth-watering and addictive series with Raging Rival Hearts featuring Lily and Kajika who I have loved in the past.
Picking up where the last instalment left off, Raging Rival Hearts was a tantalising and exhilarating story. Lily has always been someone who intrigued me, especially seeing as she was mute. The opportunity to get into the head and heart of this bewitching faerie who has always been so much of a mystery was so exciting and I have to say I think Wildenstein did a fantastic job with her tale.
I genuinely loved Lily as a person. She was so good and kind and everything I had hoped she would be. I adored the building tension she had with Kajika who has always been a favourite of mine (even though I was always Team Ace) and immensely loved seeing their relationship develop. It was electric in a simple, effortless way but so consuming at the same time. Each tension charged moment they shared where it was clear they were coming to care deeply about one another was so addictive. I simply wanted to see as much Lily and Kajika as possible; they were so good together.
Raging Rival Hearts is not without its heartbreak and loss. Olivia Wildenstein keeps her readers on their toes as Lily and those around her fight for a way to get her back into Neverra in time to save her life. Ultimately this comes at a cost but this emotionally development seems to fit in very well with the storyline that is full of moments or romance, friendship and family.
As this fourth novel ends beautifully and better than I could have ever asked for, Olivia Wildenstein leaves me dying for the release of the fifth and final novel Reckless Cruel Heirs that is set to feature a certain baby I came to love in Raging Rival Hearts and another faerie child who we’re yet to meet but I just know I’m going to adore based on who I’m sure her parents are!
A fantastic novel in a breathtaking and addictive series, I highly recommend Raging Rival Hearts and the entire Lost Clan series for those who love adventure, excitement and thrilling romance with bite and flair!

When we last left the town of Rowan & the Faerie World of Neverra, Catori & Ace had returned to Rowan married but no closer to finding a way back in their homeland for Lily!! She was locked out, no portal will let her through & she only has a few months left before her Fae fire extinguishes forever & she turns to dust. Fae need to return to Neverra to replenish their body's fire, there is no other way to survive!!😳😢
Lily is slowly coming to except her fate. She certainly doesn't want Cruz to die to save her!! 😱 Craving some adventure she decides to set off on an adventure, probably her last, and to hopefully help her bestfriend out too! She's going to see if she can find anymore Daneelies!👍 Kajika, ever protective & controlling, insists on going with her!! What they find may mean the end for them, maybe of them all 😭
The stubbornness & what seemed like almost 'chosen miscommunication' between Lily & Kajika was SO frustrating!! I loved them but wanted to bang their heads together at times!🙈😎 I thought it was both hilarious & genius making Kajika a rising star in the UFC World, his fame & sexiness were easily catching up the Kings l, Ace!😂🔥💙 The friendship that the 4 women forge, I loved it, I really did. I truly hope it's not sacrificed in book #5 next year!!😳🍀 I really look forward to catching up with these old friends again next year with the 'next generation' book!!👍 A wonderfully satisfying conclusion for Kajika & Lily, 4 Stars 🌟
I received a free copy for an honest review. I didn't know I needed this so much. Reading from Lily's point of view has given me an insight into both Lily and Kajika and I now understand the both of them better. There was also a little bit of sizzle in this book that's enough to make you blush a bit. I really liked reading about Cat and Ace, especially Lily's point of view about them as well. I cannot wait for the next installment in this series.
I was really excited to read about Lily and Kajika! I also really enjoyed that it was from Lily’s point of view. I was unsure how I felt about her in the previous books and getting inside her head helped me get to know who she was. I also enjoyed seeing a different side to Kajika and the lengths he really will go to protect the ones he cares about. Can’t wait to read the next installment in this series.
Another fantastic book in this series! I especially love that Lily’s muteness isn’t poised as a problem to be fixed. She’s badass and independent, and her loved ones learn sign language in order to communicate with her, instead of making her figure out how to communicate with them. It’s a beautiful exchange, honestly, and so well done!
My dearest Olivia, YOU DID IT. THIS BOOK, IT'S JUST. WOW. The way you brought the characters to life remains breathtaking. You have made me cry, laugh, get angry, but most of all, make me fall in love with everything and everyone. You gave me the best ending, BEYOND what I was expecting. Thank you, for one of the best series I have ever read. And boy am I excited to read Reckless Cruel Heirs. Can't wait to be blown away, as always. As you never fail to surprise me.
Wow what an exciting fantasy story featuring Cat and Ace. Even another new couple. This series has turned out to be out of this world superb. Anxiously awaiting the next book.
I loved reading this story from Cat's point of view in the previous books, and since I never really got to know Lily well, I was enthusiastic about this book knowing that I—like Kajika—would know her internal thoughts and feelings. I felt I got to know Kajika better as well now that he's not a conduit of Blake's thoughts and feelings.
With a well planned plot, extremely well crafted characters, and non-stop action, this is a new favorite book by Wildenstein. And I swear I haven't cried this much over a book in a long time. I can’t wait to read the sequel!
I loved Lily*s story!! This book made me cry and laugh and I fell in love with each person and all the crazy stuff that happened. This would make such a great tv series!
The final installment gave us a new POV from Lily Wood. This is her story but it is also a continuation of everything from the previous 3 books. Most (if not all) of the loose ends are addressed in this book. It was different after spending 3 books in Catori's head to switch to someone who is mute. Thankfully, the telepathic bond and sign language/phone typing assisted with the dialogue so it wasn't boring. It was heart wrenching experiencing Lily's fading and her not wanting to put her friends and family through that. Her budding relationship with Kajika was definitely a bright spot. It goes to show that even if you have a telepathic bond with someone, you still need to work on your communication skills. And while I didn't experience the same character growth I did with Cat, Lily grew up and came into her own by the end of this book as well. Overall, this book finished up everything left undone and caused some laughter and some tears. My only dig is that we don't get to see the "Royal Wedding". I had been looking forward to that and it was my only let down. Though there is another book (future generation) in the works for this series, so maybe I'll get to see it then.
Fantastic read, well written with a great plot and characters. I was engrossed from start to finish. I liked that this was from Lily's point of view. There is a bit of heat between Lily and Kajika. I also liked reading about Cat and Ace and Lily's view on them. Lily needs to find her way back to the Faerie World of Neverra or her fire will burn out.....along with her life. So far she is having no luck on getting back. I can't wait to read the next book! Love this series! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
not only do I LOVE this series but I literally love lily and I adored kajika in the series so I am so happy they got their own story. I liked the ending and I thought the writing was fab as always.
definitely a fave series of mine & one of olivia’s best works.
