The Titan's Saga #2

Wrath of The Gods

#NeverTrustATitan

Maisey thought the worst thing to happen to her was Insta shaming or a midnight shift at the Crab Shack. Until she got dragged into the world of the gods.

Or more specifically, the world of one very annoying, bad at sarcasm, sex on legs, Titan.

Cronus was everything she never knew she wanted, or needed, in her life. And then he just left.

Left her alone, with no idea what's happening to the world, what's happening with the sins.

Only someone miscalculated. Whether it was Cronus or the fates, there's no way they can do this without Maisey.

Turns out, she's the most important piece

⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱*Contain Spoilers*⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱

Second book in the series picks up three weeks after the first book ended. The thing is, this series has potential, it does. However, the couple in it is actually, strangely, the thing that ruins the books for me. In book one, it started out pretty good with the male character trying to killed the female character. Enemies to lovers, or hate to love is themes I enjoy so I thought that was what we were gonna get. But Maisy started thinking about falling for Cronus like... less than a week in. In this book book, they are away from each other three weeks without any contact, and bam they get together again and the L word is out there. There was no build up, no frustration, no depth... hell the little chemistry they had in book one was gone here. I felt nothing for it. I even started to lose interest in Cronus. The whole story and its romance just fell flat to me. I see that this is getting to become a pattern when Jaymin Eve has a co-writer. It seems like I can't truly dive in and fall for her males. They need to be more like Braxton. I like a possessive, all-powerful, commanding and demanding. I love a dominant male in my books. It's just a must. But I don't know if it's Maisy or if it's Cronos, or if it's them together that just doesn't work for me. I think I'll just skim the last book of the series, because I'm frankly no longer interested.

Characters:
The list is long so I've put it in a spoilers tag.

The Nine Sins:
Were once upon a time gods: the nine gods were lesser deities who discovered that evil was more powerful to them than whatever they were before.
▶ The first sin - Sickness. The world will manifest a virus, or something of that nature, and it will spread like wildfire.
▶ The second and third sin - Turmoil and Strife. One will create disturbances and confusion, and the second will take that confusion and turn it into conflict. This is the beginning of a world war.
▶ The forth and fifth sin - Jealousy and Famine. Those two have always been Hyperion's favorites to destroy. Jealousy doesn't want glory or recognition. He doesn’t brag or show himself much. His power is subtle, but deadly in its intent. A lot of murder-suicides happen when Jealousy is near.
▶ The six sin - War.
▶ The seventh sin - Frost. Frost is more as an ice age, and then that will be followed by a fire that will cleanse the world of all, and then death.
▶ The eight and nine - Fire and Death. At full power, they have no equal. At full power, the world will burn, and every living thing will die.

Quick basic facts:
Genre: - (Upper YA/NA) Fantasy Mythology.
Series: - Series, Book Two.
Love triangle? -
Cheating? -
HEA? -
Favorite character? - Cronus.
Would I read more by this author/or of series? - Yes.
Would I recommend this book/series? - Not really.
Will I read this again in the future? - No.
Rating - 2.5/2 stars.

#StillHateTheHashtagsAndSoWillContinueToTakeThePiss

So despite being bound to the most powerful being in all worlds our most amazing main character has not developed any more brain cells than last time.

Plot
Titans versus the seven deadly sins, it's something I have never seen before and something I do wanna see again because I love it.

Cronus
Still stand this amazing specimen of a man. He would do anything for the love of his life and THAT MAKES ME SO SAD BECAUSE WHERE IS MINE???!!!
The way that he loves her….. Its too much for words to express. I’m literally speechless, there are not enough powerful words in the english language to tell you how much I love the way he loves her.
More the reason for him to let go of that bitch and come and love me instead.

Maisy

In the style of the book let me tell you how much I hate her

Meh. That’s how I felt in the second half of the book. The first part was entertaining. Hashtags, getting Rhea drunk and going after the sins. After the trust is broken and I hold a grudge speech, the story moves into sex, constant dramatic I love yous and death flags galore. You’d think the fmc was making her own movie. It got tedious, it got painful, it got annoying. I’m still probably gonna read the final book though to see what happens though. Felt sorry for Thanatos, dude needs a break.

This was just as mighty and hilarious as the first book!! More epic hashtags, more hot titans and plotting gods, and more inner freakouts!! Just when you think Maisey had used all of the best of her hashtag skills, she ups her level. The back and forth of who had conflicts with whom was so entertaining and Maisey took each revelation with grace and understanding. Especially those that related to her boi, Cronus. I feel like Cronus redeemed himself pretty throughly in this book. Though it was clear that he was still keeping secrets from Maisey. I loved that Maisey found herself suddenly surrounded by family! This ending was another heartbreaker and I feel so badly for one of my favorite couples! I can't wait to see how this series resolves all of the issues. I think that us readers are in for surprises. This writing duo are just straight up fun!!

Well I devoured this book in a matter of hours, finishing just shy of midnight, so I think it's safe to say I love this book. Maisey is dealing with Cronus' abandonment, Cronus and the other Titans are chasing the remaining sins, Zeus is still a self-serving prick, and the world is slowly turning to custard #whatsnew #gohomesinsyouredrunk #notinvitedtotheparty

Maisey is an endearingly shallow main character and I love her. She’s wanting her instagram likes and uses a ton of hashtags but I still like her and I’m rooting for her.

This book was just as good as the first one. The story continues for Cronus and Maisey and picks up right where things left off in the first book. Cronus redeem himself says some swoon worthy things to help him do so. He and Maisey are a spectacular couple. They find themselves continuing the journey to save the world. I love how Maisey butchers some of the titans names at times. The addition of even more characters and their histories adds even more to be discovered. Cronus reveals his feelings more opening in this book and it is clear that he would do anything and everything possible to save Maisey. The love that these two have for each other is one that is said to be rare and only few ever find. Maisey continues with her hashtags. A thing I’m not always a fan of when it comes to books but because I’ve come to expect it from Maisey some of hers are growing on me. I would definitely recommend this series to anyone who enjoys books that include gods, goddesses and titans. I’m going to get started on the next book now so I can find out what happens for our h and H.

I honestly don't love this series and am only reading it because of the authors and the Greek gods and Titans. Literally the only reasons because I just don't like Maisey. I don't get her with Cronus at all and it takes too long for her to ditch the annoying ### everywhere

So so good 👌 the second book did not disappoint at all it was a steam roll of action the whole way through sprinkled with some added heart ache and love...

I think i spend half the book cracking up laughing some of # just make me lose it.
Love Jaymin and Leia working together they've produced pure gold... pun intended.
Can't wait to read the final book ❤

When Cronus walked away from Maisey he thought he was doing the right thing, that he and the others Titans could deal with the remaining sins but they quickly learnt that they needed her after several failed attempts at capturing Jealousy. Maisey might be angry at Cronus but she'll put her feelings aside for the sack of humanity. But when the fates turn up delivering her a Death Prophecy unless she sticks by Cronus' side the walls between them begin to crumble. The fates told them b4 that their fates were heavily intertwined and they start to realize it has more to do with just the sins and working together. They fit perfectly. But romance should be far from their priority as the sins become smarter and harder for them to capture. Maisey being only a Demi-God realizes she may not be strong enough to house all nine sins after she takes jealously which starts to change her appearance, Cronus is determined to not let her take on any more sins but as the world is on the brink of a World War she knows she must take the next sin even if it kills her. Her mother told her that Cronus can take the sins through their life debt but doing so will lead to his death but when Thanatos comes to take her to the underworld she knows her time has run out and Cronus forces the shift of sins from her to him. When the final four sins combine their powers to bring ultimate destruction they realize they'll have to raise the final Titans and get the gods on side to defeat them but even then it might not be enough and someone will have to pay the ultimate sacrifice. Maybe Maisey and Cronud weren't meant to have a HEA and save humanity.

Definitely Recommend Reading 📚

Better 3.5 ✨

My favorite part of this series has to be the hash tags. Maisey’s hash tags are hilarious. I also really enjoy that Maisey knows who she is. Her flaws, weaknesses, her strengths. She embraces all of herself and that is not something you find often in anybody.

It was pretty easy to tell that getting the sins and finding a box to store them in wasn’t going to be the end. Zeus is too power hungry for that to be the case. But I don’t understand how Zeus could possibly think he can control the sins when he can’t even beat Cronus, the most powerful titan. And it took all the Titans and some gods to assist in taking the sins down. How could he possibly think that. But you know ignorance and power blindness will do that to you.

I am curious to see how everything will end. Hopefully everyone gets exactly what they are owed.

Wrath of The Gods by Leia Stone and Jaymin Eve, is the second book in The Titan's Saga series.

After Cronus severs the bond with Maisey, she’s left alone and stuck with the necklace that’s trapped 3 of the sins. The slight glimpse of a change to her life was broken the moment he left her.

However, they can’t stay apart for too long and they still have a mission to achieve regarding the sins.

It’s time to stop the end of the world and resurrect some more Titans.

The relationship between Maisey and Cronus definitely heats up in this story, and there’s also a lot of character growth. I would love to have seen a bit of the other Titan’s histories, but I think that could have been a book on its own.

WOW! Book 2 was even better than I expected. Leia and Jaymin have delivered an amazing fast paced action packed adventure.

Wrath of the Gods picks up right where Releasing the Gods left us. Now Maisey, Cronus and the rest are after the remaining Sins while Zeus and the Greek Gods are doing everything in their power to stop the Titans.

Continuing from book 1 Leia and Jaymin give us some great one-liners, #'s and the best nickname ever. If you've read Releasing the Gods then you definitely must read Wrath of the Gods. I can't wait for book 3. #TeamMaisey for the win.

What do you get when you put Leia Stone and Jaymin Eve together? An absolutely fantastic and brilliant story!

Wrath of the Gods is the 2nd book of the Titan's Saga. And boy does it continue with a bang! After releasing Cronus from imprisonment and dragging her across the state, Cronus suddenly up and left Maisey alone. I absolutely love the chemistry Maisey and Cronus have, the story... it'll take your emotions on one amazing roller coaster ride! I couldn't put the book down! You have to read the books! I can't wait to see what the next book will bring!

PROS
- the ending of this book was exciting and l look forward to the next one.
- though the heroines social media obsession gets annoying, she is light hearted and can be funny. She is also mentally strong and not a damsel in distress.
- the side characters are fun.

CONS
- the middle dragged. A lot of time was spent on raising titans and repetitive. I started skimming through this part.
- I don’t understand why they don’t raise the titans after they die. The process doesn’t seem that hard so it seems like there is no need for any titan to remain dead.

Brilliant

Another great book in the series the characters are all inspiring I love mazie and Cronus and their chemistry The UPS and Downs the two have to go through to get the sins back in control almost broke my heart. Especially towards the end where maisie and Cronus knew that some sacrifice was the only way to contain the sins and protect the whole world. Amazing story and will continue to find out if Maisie and Cronos will get there happy ever after.

Cronus left and Masey has to pick up the pieces. He comes back only when he needs her, and it's pretty messed up. They are deeply in love with each other after just knowing each other for few days, and act like nothing is more important. To seal the sins is a tug of war between Masey and Cronus, each willing to sacrifice for the other. I still feel like in this book everything happens to fast, without giving the characters time to process what's going on.

Thankfully less hashtags this time. Or at least it felt like it, maybe I just skipped over them automatically 😂

Gotta be honest, the "love of my life" thing came kinda out of nowhere. We knew it was coming, the attraction and lust was definitely there. But I didn't really notice the supposed love between them. Well, maybe is missed that part too.

Oh my words, I don't even know quite where to start. So I'll be just as surprised as you guys, as to where this will lead. As we have already established, when Jaymin is involved anything is possible!

You do realise rambling isn't as easy as it looks right? There's an art to it, I'm sure of it. And my art just went and flew out the window, stollen by this owl.

I know, what you're thinking. How Rude!

Anyways, let's see how well we can do without it and my brain! #FingersCrossed

me to my brain

So, all you really need to know is that this book is so incredibly Ahhhmazing!! I think I beat a new reading score and completed it in like 4 1/2 hrs. I was sucked in like....you guessed it

This book will take a hold of you and wrap itself around you and it won't let go...not that you'll want it too. For me, I even found myself on the last page clicking harder and harder for my page to turn...it didn't matter how many times I clicked 'next page', the outcome never changed (lame). That's how hooked you'll be...well, if you're anything like me or #Normal #NotHuman #OkayThatsExtreme #JustFeelSomething. So if you read book one just go on and add book two to the list because it only gets better.

In Maisey's words #GetMyPsychologist...I don't blame her for needing one after everything she goes through...but I think I may need one too lol. She may same a little superficial but under all that, she's a real bleeding heart. And she's a person that goes through a hell of a lot and has so much fight inside her, even when she's up against Greek Gods. #SoNoJudging

This book honestly kicks right back into gear from page one. Maise is back in her old life because you know who just left her behind, with these sins inside her. I know he has a reason...But. He. Left. Her. Alone. After knowing what she had gone through. Gah, that feels so good to say coz last time it would've been a spoiler lol...#NowItIsNot! Even though there was a reason I still maybe, kinda wanted to punch him in his perfect face....even if it would probably break my hand.

That feels more #Accurate

I got sidetracked with my violence haha. #NotAPsycho #Promise. So Maisey is back home for a couple of weeks and she is going through a really rough patch...trying to pick herself back up but it's not really working. She's very out of it. But then she finds out that her hot as hell Titan #OrIsHeHers? Is following her on Facegram (Cronus's words lols), and he sends Rhea to watch her. #JustWhatSheWants #NoExes #SheMightPunchHer #MaiseyNotMe!

Things start going south from here. While she is off with a very drunk Rhea, Zeus who is also clearly following her Instagram as well (followers are followers right? 😂🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️), pops up to cause some #drama. Then Maisey is back in the whole world of trying to get all these evil gods - you remember the 9 sins yeah?

Well, it appears the Titan's can't catch the little devil's on their own and need little miss human to act as a cage once again. The thing is Cronus isn't so on board with that. #OhhWell ...When they meet after a couple of weeks of separation let's just say Cronus is not the man she had come to know and she's hurt by his coldness. Something steamy happens when Maisey tries to take on Jealousy and well Cronus takes off again.... but Hyperion makes a hard call and he keeps Maisey around. Even when it's very possible that the sins are killing her.

It doesn't take long before trouble finds Maise and well, all I'm going to say is #FatesAtItAgain #DeathProphecy. And it just so happens that the only way she might survive is if she sticks with Cronus. #ThatsSortaAWin #Right?

Of course, we learn there's a lot more to why Cronus is being a #Douche but they finally start communicating and that's when maybe just maybe Maisey and Cronus may be able to move past, past hurts. But first Maise has gotto let her anger and hurt out a little on the big guy...but it's okay coz you know why she is so hurt and angry.

Does this help answer things lol?

With fate/destines taking control, will all the Titan's and Greek Gods be able to do what needs to be done? To put aside pet hates and need for power/control to save the world?

Things are going to get real rough. Things happened that I didn't expect...and I was surprised by the emotions some of these things brought on...I know, I know...I shouldn't be surprised by what Jaymin & Leia bring out in me, but it still gets me...Every. Damn. Time.

And then with that ending!!!!

Need I say more!?

Zeus, you better watch your back. You may be a god but nothing and I mean nothing, comes close to a woman who is angry and on a mission.

Successes may be accomplished but before you get to celebrating...sometimes the consequences or repercussions of said saving, may just be creating only bigger problems. So maybe don't throw those hats just yet. Unless you crazy and you think that's a good thing. #ItsNot

There's so much I want to say...because this book takes you through soo much that I almost can't process it all....my mind is like going crazy lol. I just wish I could drop all of the spoilers haha because this is so dang hard to write.

It's time to Human up, to take on the sins and battle them and to take control of their own destiny. Before the world comes to a devastating end. Bring on the craziness!

I absolutely CANNOT wait until the next book is released because to all the stars in the sky I have questions! Lots of questions and I need answers!!

After all that turmoil, I feel like Dash right about now.

And I think on that note...

Oh man...I feel a book-hangover is well on its way. I've drunk coke, eaten chocolate cookies and a lollipop and I think I need to eat more chocolate.

So for everyone that wants to be put through the amazing emotional wringer this book offers...YAAS do it!! For some weird reason, us booklovers, love putting ourselves through crazy amounts of stress, to possibly combat the stress in our own lives lol. #ItsFact #WeWeird

I'm totally okay with that as well...because it's the best feeling when you finish a book this good.

So much happens, so much growth on all fronts to be honest. The story develops at the perfect pace. It's fast but not too fast. It knows all the right measurements. Just like cooking up a perfect meal. #Perfection

I really loved as well seeing more of a deeper side to Cronus. You see soo much more in him. Like I loved him before but #HesMine #AllMine #YouGuysCanHaveTheOtherHotAsHellTitans #Mine #YouHearMe....Anywho, yeah you see deeper into his character and you see him come out of himself too...and the moments when he laughs and teases Maise...it legit gives you all the feels. #CoupleGoals

I seriously loved all the characters in this book. They were created to absolute perfection. Created so that when Maisey or Cronus don't like someone you legit feel it....and so, in turn, you begin to dislike them haha. It's such an odd thing to feel, I guess, but to me, that means the writing is on point.

If I had to choose my favourite characters (aside from Cronus haha)...I'd have to say Hyperion, Maisey and Thanatos (He seems like a guy that is misunderstood 🤷🏻‍♀️). But I just love the little comments and personality of them. And for once someone agrees with me and Stiles. Thank you! #Finally!

Hyperion cleared his throat. “We don’t know that for sure. But last time we had to take them in order. So Famine, Frost, Fire, and then Death. If that doesn’t work, we move on to plan B.” #OhGoodThereWasAPlanB

This is a perfect in every way read. Maisey although, goes through a lot and will continue to do so, if I know Jaymin and Leia lol...but it's written in a way that is almost lighthearted and it shows a deeper character trait that I think is super important. That even though in hard times it's good to keep humour in situations. It can help. And Maisey provides that, is that. Even if she is sometimes a bit of a blonde. Least she can admit it haha. 😂

“The thing? What thing?” My hair might have black in it now but I was still a blonde at heart.

Throw everything out the window when it comes to this book. Just where safety clothing and you should survive it. Should being the operative word...Go grab this copy when it releases in just 2 more days!!

I'll wrap it up now....Thanks so much to the amazing Jaymin and Leia for having me on your ARC team. I love every second of it! I don't think this feeling will ever get old...and of course, since I'm a glutton for punishment I love every little bit of turmoil you put me through. I love you guys!

Wrath of the Gods by Leia Stone and Jaymin Eve a five-star read that will bring its own wrath. This is number two in the Titan’s Saga and well all I can say is when is number three coming. I need me the next instalment!! Maisey really pulled it out of the bag this time, she was more hero and less hashtag this time, but she never lets go of her true self and I loved that I didn’t have a fave hashtag this time that I would be allowed to put in my review. I also want to find out more about Hepatitis and what his plan with Zeus is, is Heph a double agent or a triple agent? Mmmm my brain is running away with itself with possibilities. This really broke my dreary mood and just made me forget the world for a couple of hours, it did make me wonder what we had done to upset the Gods at the moment, but that’s another story. Now get writing and bring me more Cronus.

Maisey, Maisey, Maisey.... what are we going to do with you? Irreverent, immature, impulsive and far too often vapid, this 'Gram hungry gal is back with a vengeance, and she's mourning the loss of Cronus. Or rather, the abandonment of Cronus, but don't tell her she's mourning... she's not ready to hear it, and it won't make the forced babysitting gig by Rhea (remember her? The EX-WIFE??) any better.

Fortunately, or perhaps unfortunately, that little sidestep doesn't last long and soon enough Masiey is back in the thick of things, necklace on, Gods angered, Sins taunting and Titans whirling. It's messed up, it's fast, it's hot and it's surprisingly emotional.

I still struggled with the plethora of hashtags, yet they feel suited to the character and her wishes (not to mention her growing then slowing 'Gram account), and were often quite funny... #RheaOwesMeTenBucks.

I both love and hate Cronus, even as I understand him.... or, at least his motivations (though that takes a little while). He's brash, a pure Alpha and totally convinced he's right, so, in other words, he's a Titan. With family issues.

All in all, this was a fun read that advanced the meta-plot well, while offering up a heap of humor, lust and pop culture. Fair warning, it ends on a cliff, though not a incredibly harsh one.

Meh. Disappointing. I usually like the work that these authors publish, but the last few series have been ho-hum, cookie-cutter, and overdone. I ended up skimming a lot of this novel. The plot was set in the last book - the characters are hunting down the sins from pandora's box and getting into danger intermittently as those sins create havoc around the world. The characters didn't really evolve or grow. The relationship between Cronus and Maisey wasn't very deep and so I did not believe that their declarations of love were supported by the context. The characters repeated same words, repeated same actions with each new battle. So the narration grew tiresome. I skimmed the narration and read the dialogue to speed things up. Again, the romance was not supported by context, and I doubt that I'll read the next novel.
