Ahhhhh, cómo termina, me enamora.
Sabes que Hirotaka ha estado enamorado de Narumi desde siempre, pero ese extra de la perforación, rompió mi corazón.
A veces quiero ser Narumi y a veces no. Quiero serlo porque el amor de su vida siempre estuvo a su lado y no se dio cuenta, a la vez, por eso mismo es que no quiero ser ella.

This second volume is just as cute as the first! Nerds falling in love, what could be more adorable?! In this one, the ladies pressure their boyfriends into trying cosplay, with mixed results. There are a few flashbacks to when they knew each other as children, and the friends all grow closer as they reminisce and share their deeper feelings, fears, and dreams with each other.
Even though our two main nerd characters love to hang out, playing arcade games, and watching anime together, they've never been on a real date. They will have to seriously change their perspective in order to deepen their relationship. These two are so awkward and silly, and I love their dynamic!
A new mysterious character is introduced! Is he an old ex-boyfriend? A kindly young student? Or is he here to steal away our favorite nerdy girl from the arms of her boyfriend? I loved that whole story line, and it added some real interest and fun to the manga!
This volume also had some smoking, a little less drinking than the first volume, and some sexual innuendo. So not a manga for kids.

De nuevo vengo a fangirlear de manera vergonzosa con este manga.
En este segundo tomo retomamos la historia donde lo dejamos, Narumi y Hirotaka comienzan a salir creyendo que al ser otakus sería fácil su relación, pero nop, las cosas no son tan sencillas y eso salta a la vista al ver el tipo de relación que Tarô Kabakura y Hanako Koyanagi tienen.
Kabakura y Hanako han salido desde la escuela y tienen una relación totalmente diferente a la de Narumi y Hirotaka, pero Hirotaka no puede evitar comparar su relación con la de ellos, así que invita a Narumi a una cita (¿escucharon eso? Fue mi corazón volverse loco por Hirotaka).
Debo decirles que tanto Kabakura como Hanako también me encantan. Él es un hombre muy serio con cara de enfado pero en realidad es un hombre bastante sensible que además es mega fan del anime y manga. Hanako por su parte también tiene una apariencia fría y gruñona pero en realidad es una persona bastante noble que no duda en ayudar a los demás. A ella también le gusta el anime pero es más fan de los cosplay. De hecho es bastante popular con sus cosplay en convenciones.
La pareja que hacen estos dos es bastante explosiva. Mientras que Narumi y Hirotaka son más relados, Hanako y Kabura se la viven peleando entre ellos. Ojo, esto no quiere decir que no se quieran pues me parecen una pareja bastante tierna pero disfrutan meterse el uno con el otro.
En este tomo también conoceremos a Naoya, el adorable hermano menor de Hirotaka que es el único personaje principal de la historia que no posee ni una gota otaku en su sistema. Aún con ello Nao intenta comprender a todos los demás otakus pero por más que lo intenta se queda adorablemente perdido. Hay una escena que de verdad amé con todo m ser donde lo invitan a jugar Super Smash Bros y el pobre es de verdad un completo inútil (y aquí me sentí tan él porque soy un asco en ese juego). Y no me miren raro, pero estoy enamorada de la inutilidad otaku de Nao (claro que amo más a su hermano mayor...)
Además en este tomo conocemos más del pasado de Narumi y Hirotaka. Los veremos de niños compartiendo algunos momentos y los veremos también de adolescentes, es aquí donde hay una escena que rompió mi negro corazón pues es donde nos queda claro que Hirotaka siempre ha sentido algo por ella y ella evidentemente sólo lo ha visto como su amigo otaku.
Para finalizar la reseña de este tomo voy a contarles que hay un capitulo donde Hirotaka, Narumi, Hanako y Kabakura se unen para jugar en línea y es sin duda alguna uno de los mejores capítulos que he tenido el placer de leer en un manga pues todo resulta tan hilarante, desde la intromisión boba de Nao hasta la facilidad y frialdad con la que Hirotaka salva las vidas de sus compañeros.
Ya lo dije en la reseña del primer tomo pero tengo que volverlo a decir, Wotakoi es un manga que va a encantar a todos los fans de anime, manga y videojuegos, un manga que sin duda no se pueden perder.

In Summary
Even though Hirotaka and Narumi are the main couple, most of the otaku romance takes place with the other characters in this installment. Hanako and Taro have a well-established relationship now, but a trip down memory lane reveals its contentious beginnings as well as the start of Hanako’s fujoshi habit. In addition, otaku gamer Ko joins the cast as Naoya’s new friend. For now the two are just gaming buddies (which is plenty entertaining given the difference in their abilities), but considering the title of this series, that dynamic is probably going to change real quick.
The Review
As with the Volume 1 of the English-language edition of this series, Volume 2 is comprised of two installments of the Japanese edition (Volumes 3 and 4). Meaning you get 270 pages of Wotakoi for the $17.99 MSRP.
Japanese Volume 3 is a mishmash of various scenes involving different combinations of the four friends. Although Hirotaka and Narumi’s romance is the central relationship in this series, only Chapter 19 focuses on that relationship, and for some reason, Fujita-sensei breaks that chapter into four parts and intersperses them in between other chapters. The content itself is actually entertaining (the pair have a normie date at an amusement park, in which otaku behavior is forbidden), but having to read it divided up is a little weird.
For those familiar with the anime, Japanese Volume 3 covers the same material in the latter portion of the TV series, except for Chapter 15, which is an April Fool’s episode, and Chapter 19, in which Hirotaka’s friends try to freak him out with scary stories. As in the previous volume, the chapters poke fun at otaku idiosyncrasies, especially Chapter 17, where Narumi and Hanako have a fujoshi dispute, and Chapter 18, where the four friends go shopping together. Footnotes and translation notes explain obscure references, so as long as you are somewhat versed in otaku culture, these chapters are fun.
At the conclusion of Japanese Volume 3, Naoya meets a shy schoolmate who plays a significant role in Japanese Volume 4. I assumed Naoya’s role in this series was simply to serve as a contrast to the otaku adults’ excesses. However, Fujita-sensei has chosen to pair him up, and because this series is subtitled “Love Is Hard for Otaku,” our resident normie winds up with a hard-core gamer, Ko Sakuragi. Unlike the other pairings, this one is characterized by innocence. This is partly because Ko is shy to the point of being asocial and partly because Ko’s gender ambiguous name and appearance cause Naoya to mistakenly assume she’s a he. As such, their interactions are mostly Ko struggling to converse normally and Naoya treating Ko like a guy buddy.
Also taking up a chunk of Japanese Volume 4 is Chapter 26, the origin story for Hanako and Taro’s relationship. Like Chapter 19, this chapter gets broken up and interspersed through Volume 4. The anime touched on this subject, but the manga goes much deeper into showing them as athletes and how an otaku purchase got used as blackmail. If you are fans of this couple, you should definitely pick this volume up.
Extras include a ton of translation/cultural notes, character profiles, author’s afterword, and 18 pages printed in full color.

Review : I loved the second vol I just love that there really isn't a story line that just talks about being nerdy and the two couples in the story I love them both there was an amusment park date between Hirotaka and Narumi . Noya meets a new friend who tries to help him with gaming Kou and Kou is actually a girl but dresses more like a boy but Noya doesn't know that loved this vol can't wait to read the next one .

Qué bonito es cuando un manga te hace reír, asentir por todas las cosas con las que te identificas y, además, que te llena de corazoncitos por dentro.
Continuamos con el romance de las dos parejas principales, cada una con sus peculiares personalidades que, de alguna manera, se complementan muy bien. En esta ocasión conocemos al hermano menor de Hirotaka, Nao, el ser más precioso de este universo.
Como siempre, los capítulos parecen muy random pero siento que funciona en esta serie porque es una romcom que va dirigida a los otakus así que vemos cómo hablan de juegos, cosplay, series, los husbandos que se nos mueren y bueno, todas esas cosas de los fandom, lol.
Hirotaka sigue siendo mi favorito y cada vez demuestra que es husbando material, I mean, el man solo es un buen tipo y ya con eso me tiene ganada HAHAHA. Me identifico más con Hana pero en general amo mucho la interacción de los 4.
Este es uno de esos mangas que siempre me alegran el día y ya quiero leer lo que sigue en cuanto pueda.
Este volumen contiene los episodios 7 – 13.

Okey, sigo un poco confundía aunque ya le estoy agarrando la mano al mangaka. Creo que se por donde va a ir la historia y me encanta.
Todos sabemos que los noviazgos en Japón son diferentes a lo que estamos acostumbrados y es eso lo que vemos aquí, sumado a que parecería que los dos son bastante nuevos en esto (algunos más que otros). No es EL MANGA, pero es definitivamente entretenido

Lo rápido que se leen los tomos de Wotakoi... Los personajes son divertidos y adorables. La historia intercala muy bien el humor y las escenas más emotivas.

Y como decía en la primer parte de este manga, espero leerme los 10 tomos, así que aquí ando en la lucha por leerlo y llegue al 2do.
Simplemente es divertido estar leyendo esta historia, me encantan todas la aventuras que tienen estos personajes y los problemas en los que se meten y algo que pude ver a lo largo de estos 2 tomos, es el hecho de que el autor nos presente a los personajes de una manera un tanto simpática pero a la vez original.
Aquí a parte de nuestro cuarteto de amigos, vemos a otro personaje un tanto peculiar que es el hermano de nuestro protagonista masculino, que es muy diferentes a lo que este cuarteto de amigos nos iba presentando, ya que el no se considera ni otaku ni gamer, pero vemos que es un chico estudioso que para ganarse la vida trabaja en un starbucks, el solo sale con sus amigos, estudia y tiene una vida un tanto normal, pero vemos como su hermano y su grupo de amigos lo van integrando a este mundo Geek.
Este manga me pareció mas ameno y divertido que el primero, por que aquí ya no vi tanto esa cosa desagradable que les comentaba en la entrada anterior, pero aquí hubo otra cosa que no me gusto y que me termino desesperando, los amigos de nuestros protagonistas, la otra pareja, es que cada que pueden se están peleando, y cada que pueden se dejan de hablar, pero con cualquier cosa se volvían a reconciliar, a mi me parecen desesperantes, pero por separado creo que son buenos personajes y si me gustan, por que de alguna manera ayudan a los protagonistas, pero no los junten pliss por que ahí si no quiero ni verlos.
De hecho una parte que me gusto mucho de la historia es la parte de navidad, cuando el hermano del protagonista se tiene que vestir de Santa Claus y nos cuenta una gran lección sobre que lo importante de su trabajo y que el esta satisfecho por ver a las personas felices, ahí fue cuando me di cuenta que este manga también tiene y puede tener mensajes muy bonitos como ese, que no importa pasar frió, no importa tener un trabajo un poco pesado, si puedes hacer algo por alguien más y hacerlo sentir bien, creo que hasta el momento esa es mi parte favorita de todo lo que he leído de esta historia.
Espero poder continuarla muy pronto y seguirles compartiendo mis impresiones, por que si me esta gustando y creo que es una muy bonita elección para leer, pero mientras eso sucede a ustedes Dreamers, los invito a leerla, creo que vale mucho la pena y que les puede gustar.

I read an omnibus that had volumes 1 and 2 packaged together.
I am not sure why I read this. I dont like romance and this has zero ecchi. The characters barely even kiss.
Also, the secondary characters have a blantantly unhealthy rationship and they should break up. The primary characters have a one sided relationship (the guy confessed his feelings to the girl, but the girl has not verbally reciprocated).
But it's a comedy so none of these issues are taken seriously at all.
I will say though that I enjoyed having a flat chested female lead who wasnt childlike in appearance. In a lot of manga, the most desirable female characters tend to be busty and this is true in romance as well. Whereas small breasted women tend to be depicted as children/middle schoolers, so they are often noticably shorter than many other characters (even other female ones).
Even though she's referred to as cute throughout the manga (I have noticed only large breasts are deemed "sexy"), I like that it's also brought up and explicitly mentioned. Another rarity!
Would not recommend unless you know nothing of otaku culture and want the nice little cultural bits at the end of each volume. But there is so much manga about otaku that you could probably just skip this and just watch/read NHK.

I will say though that I enjoyed having a flat chested female lead who wasnt childlike in appearance. In a lot of manga, the most desirable female characters tend to be busty and this is true in romance as well. Whereas small breasted women tend to be depicted as children/middle schoolers, so they are often noticably shorter than many other characters (even other female ones).
Even though she's referred to as cute throughout the manga (I have noticed only large breasts are deemed "sexy"), I like that it's also brought up and explicitly mentioned. Another rarity!
Would not recommend unless you know nothing of otaku culture and want the nice little cultural bits at the end of each volume. But there is so much manga about otaku that you could probably just skip this and just watch/read NHK.
Three stars for the art and inclusion of a small breasted female lead in a romance.

Hier im zweiten Band finde ich die Zeichnungen der Nasen gar nicht mehr so schlimm 😂 ansonsten ist der Zeichenstil wie gewohnt sehr schön 😍
Naoya als neuer Charakter in der Story gefällt mir gut und ich finde ihn von seiner Art und seinem Aussehen her so süüüß 😍 besonders in dem Weihnachtskapitel war er sehr drollig 🥰 ich freu mich in den Folgebänden mehr vom ihm zu lesen 😊
Hirotaka bekommt in dem Band hier mit dem Gewitter Kapitel und den Rückblick bzgl seiner Ohrlöcher viel mehr Tiefe,was mir sehr gut gefallen hat 👍🏻
Tatsächlich habe ich mit dem Anime angefangen und muss sagen, dass er mir sehr gut gefällt 😍 vielleicht sogar mehr als der Manga bisher 🤔 der Humor kommt hier viel besser rüber, die Charaktere wirken lebendiger, nicht so blass und einseitig und das episodische Erzählen finde ich beim Anime auch angenehmer 😊
Ich bin wirklich gespannt wie es mit mir und der Reihe weitergeht 🤓

Pero el after del trabajo de un día tranquilo da un giro imprevisto cuando aparece un tercero en discordia que parece conocer a Narumi de un pasado no muy lejano... 👀

¿Habrá que preocuparse por ese muchacho? ¿Qué pasará por la mente de Koyaragi?

AMO. En este tomo nos introducen a Nao y adoro su personaje. También vemos un poquito más de la infancia de Hirotaka y Narumi.. y cómo él ha tenido sentimientos por ella hace mucho tiempo *chilla y llora por baby Hirotaka *
Me gusta mucho cómo se empieza a preocupar por su relación. Y bueno obviamente sigo amando cada pequeño momento de Kabakura y Koyanagi los tsunderes chuchis. Esa escena en la lluvia aaa.

The second manga of Otaku Otaku was amazing ! If the next mangas in this series keep on being this good and funny this might becoming my new favorite manga series. Keep the quality Hanako and Tarou content coming. PLEASE.

Debo decir que fue muy divertido, cada episodio me hizo reír. Es interesante como se presenta el avance de la relación de cada una de las parejas, así como la infancia de Hirotaka, en el capítulo del tifón, fue demasiado tierno. Me encuentro expectante de cómo evolucionará su personaje.
