Robert manages to keep his readers captivated from the 1st chapter where he provides transition advise from a negative thought form to a positive one. Apart from these positive affirmative ideas, Robert provides actual facts and statistics about how creativity is one of the most vital skill in this current era by using LinkedIn Economic Graph and IBM data analysis.
His unique yet simple methods to equip ourselves with creative skills is very well thought out and uncomplicated.

Throughout the book, Robert uses everything ranging from examples of simple men creating and inventing great things, statistics, principles, and much more to empower his readers to devour the quintessence of creativity to the maximum extent possible and one must really appreciate the research that has gone into consolidating all this information. The tidbit advice and statements made by other creative people who have succeeded in their field by harnessing their creativity is just cherry on top. Robert has leveraged every possible means and methods to help his readers gauge the concept of creativity and consciously apply this in their day to day life until they break habit from their default setting.

I will try my best to apply my learning from this book in my day to day life and look forward to read more of such books written by Robert.

I appreciate that this books address critical thinking and complex problem-solving and goes beyond this to talk about the exchange of uniqueness, creativity, and innovation.

I like that we have the opportunity to look at case studies and there is a space for taking notes. It looks at the creative genre and the Four-C Model of Creativity.

This book took a look at some pretty alarming test results. NASA tested the creative potential of its rocket scientists and engineers with disappointing results.

A couple of doctors developed a test to explore creative potential and tested it on 1,600 children and the test revealed that the children scored at a creative genius level of 98% as they aged this was unlearned due to many things including external Suppression Factors

This book launched in 2020 and back then some employers we struggling to come to terms with the creative ideas of their employees.

In 2020, many employers had to find alternatives to keep their businesses running and some had to look more closely at telework.

While the book is geared toward helping readers recognize what success means to them, its chief purpose is to help you find your true value and apply it creatively in various aspects of your work life.

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life and hide behind society norms that are often rigid and not allow creativity at all. As author explains, when you don't fit in so called norms, you can live an authentic, creative, and sometimes crazy life.

Creativity needs to be an intentional force in your life. It needs to be expressed and manifested. Robert A. Belle encourages you that you have to have confidence in your art and ideas and he shows how to monetize them.

The book is very informative and motivates you to be yourself. Creativity is an integral and critical part of life. It's not a luxury, it's necessity. For example - companies that embrace creativity are number one in their field and are the best companies to work for.

Part 1 of the book relates to creative/right side of our brain, the 2nd part shifts to left/logical side and offers practical steps and tools that you can use to shape your creativity.

So, blow the lid off!

This book is an in-depth look at creativity, and why many of us tend to cover it or stifle it. It explains creativity with examples and stories of others, as well as exercise to help you blow the lid off and either discover or reimagine your creativity. The author then delves further into actualizing your creativity and pointing out that it does not have to be limited to the arts. I realized a few of my self-limiting beliefs when it comes to my creativity, and even why I have them. It’s inspirational in so many ways, inspiring you to be creative, and inspiriting you to help others be creative. If you are a parent, it offers great insight on why parents should never stifle their children’s creativity. A great tool to add to your creative toolbox and help you find the confidence to share your creativity.

Making awakening human creativity a priority

I am a creativity professional who specializes in awakening and actualizing creative potential across the lifespan. I was very attracted to this book cover, the title and the content, but was disappointed not to see an ‘author profile’ or introduction in this book. Creativity has a lot to do with context, and understanding the author’s background is important. I found the information shared credible and ‘on point’ and will add it to the list of books I recommend to my clients, students and mentees.

The formatting on this book made it difficult for me to read, so hence the low review. This is no reflection on the contents.

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.
