Charlie has been beaten and left for dead. She's got hardly any life left in her. But for some reason, she just can't seem to die.
A strange headache forces her to head north, towards the mysterious building known only as Facility Twelve-- where she quickly discovers that she is not alone. There is another Anomaly at the Facility, along with a suspiciously charismatic bot who says he'll do his best to "fix" whatever has gone wrong inside Charlie's head. But when the secrets of the Before mix with the dangers of the Nothing, it unlocks a power that could very well change the world.

Fate's Forsaken rating FAQs (taken from the official website):
Fate’s Forsaken was written with the Young Adult audience in mind, and contains no graphic nudity, sex scenes, or cussing. Though the characters must often overcome hardships, and their stories touch upon difficult themes, Shae’s purpose in writing the series was to provide her readers with an uplifting adventure, the means to escape the troubles of the “real world” — and perhaps even make a few friends along the way.
Anomaly Series:
Book 1: Charlie the Anomaly
This post-apocalyptic gunslinger series is set in ruins of north Texas. Taking place about 400 years in the future, readers will get to see what the world looks like after civilization is destroyed-- and read about how it all ended. Tag along with Charlie while she sets fires and wreaks havoc on the villains of the Nothing!
R-rated for violence, PG-13 for language, No nudity or sexual situations
From the filthy Nothing to clean sheets, things aren't really what they seem at first glance. An absolute ripper of a story that only leaves me wanting more. More Charlie, more of the Nothing.
I was lucky to find this title on Google Read. I honestly liked the first book better, but this one was good in its own way. I had to read each book straight through and only stopped when I was too tired to read.
