I DESTROYED HER.

Tore her down and took everything she had. Tormented her just for the hell of it.
And now... I can't let her go.

Seth

I’ve always been that guy, the one you want to be friends with.
The popular one. Idolised and adored, privileged and perfect in every way.

But saints have sins, so I’ve kept mine well hidden.
No one knows the real me. Who I used to be. Who I’ve buried to survive.

I never meant to hurt her while I took what was owed, but she was too tempting. Too sweet.

And now she’s back to even the score. An angel of death in a pretty dress, no less.
She may be the girl of my dreams, a heavenly sin.
But I'm longer her plaything, taken in by stolen kisses and pretty lies.

I'm not the same boy who loved her. Then.

And now, she looks at me with pure hatred.

I ruined her reputation, tortured her soul.
Broke her body in ways she never imagined.
She wants her revenge...

But she hasn’t got the sweetest clue,
how to break a heart.

Not like I do...

You’ll love this dark college stepbrother bully romance filled with suspense to keep you on the edge, because who doesn’t enjoy a revenge and redemption story at its sweetest? When bullies become the bullied, and the brave become the broken. Will true but tainted love survive?

This is the 3th book in the serie and i can say that i loved every word of this serie! Wow. It made me feel so much, it was a very intense book! It keeps you on your toes and when you think you know whats gonna happen, its not. Sometimes it really broke my heart.I loved the conection between Pearl and Seth, its very strong and hot. It was everything you want from a forbidden romance. But forbidden means secret, and secrets can really destroy a relationship. I hated Pearl for not saying anything to Seth. They just have to trust each other! It was kinda sad that this was the end but it was so good.

I wanted to read Hearts Break as soon as I read the blurb. Because it's simply amazing and so my thing. You see, I knew this was the third book in the series, but I read it anyway without reading the first two books first. I will return and read them asap.

With that being said, I think it's pretty obvious that I loved it! Yeah, the world of Pearl and Seth rocked! Many secrets were revealed and they are both trying to cope with everything the best way they can. I need to get back and to read how it all started and to be a part of all the turns and twist.
Can't wait!

Suspend any and all sense of belief/reality to digest this. It's basically in the realm of fantasy at this point, like what the actual fuck my dude? The wilder/crazier the plot, basically. Self-preservation? Don't know her.

Besides all the issues I had with the plot and characters, I was also kinda miffed by the writing because a lot of things happened behind the scenes - please show, don't tell. I was not a fan; but I still read this between the hours of 3-7am.

This has been such a whirlwind ride but well worth it!.
.
I feel like I can finally breathe now. This series has been intense, heartbreaking, mysterious and suspenseful. I feel as tightly strung as a bow with anticipation. This book had me at the edge of my seat and white knuckling my tablet. I cannot get enough!
.
From start to finish, I was captivated and the plot had me gripped. It’s so easy to get lost in this world, With its incredible world building, amazing characters that while at some points you want to shake them and hate them, you also can’t help but connect with them and love them. Pearl and Seths journey has been anything but smooth sailing with dumb decisions, but they came out on top, and being there every step of the way was incredible. Their story is definitely one that straddled the line between love and hate but it was worth every second reading it.
.
An amazing conclusion with revelations we have been dying for and a book of unpredictability that will have an impact and I loved every minute.
.
I’m saddened that Pearl and Seths journey is over but also incredibly happy at how it all ended. Amazing job Mallory, this was an awesome book.

Wow what a series!

So this is the third book in the wicked hearts at war series .. I have to say things have really heated up..
Pearl is keeping a huge secret from Seth and it drives me crazy throughout the whole book.
There are so many games and deceit going on, it’s hard to keep track.
Most of the book I just wanted to scream at Pearl to tell him! Tell him the truth.. and even when he figured it out on his own he said nothing !!! Ugh ,,
He doesn’t see how horrible everyone is treating her and that makes me angry too.
Pearl doesn’t see it but Seths been looking out for her all this time and trying to keep her safe from Marcel..
This series is so good y’all.. if you like trying to solve puzzles and of course steamy sex scenes this sis definitely the series for you... crazy isn’t even the word I would use to describe some of the things that happen in this series.. awesome conclusion to Pearl and Seths story!

Good, quick series

I enjoyed this series. I read it quickly, but I did love that it wasn’t a series that took days to read. Instant gratification and all.

“Kill the Doe. I wasn’t lying when I told Pearl that Grandfather liked to hunt does, I just didn’t explain the he also liked to hunt Jane Does. Abandoned girls. Lost women. Those who wouldn’t be missed by anyone. It’s all a game to him and the boys. Raven Club’s darkest secret.”
— Hearts Break: A Dark Stepbrother Bully Romance (Wicked Hearts At War Book 3) by Mallory Fox

I enjoyed Seth more in this book than the others. There’s just something about the guy having so many mixed emotions about the h. I really loved his indecision and his frustration.
I loved loved loved the epilogue. I’ve accepted Seth fully and I think he’ll forever be a book boyfriend I wouldn’t want to lose.

This book was dark, gritty, intense full of deception, heartbreak, betrayal, vengeance, redemption and loads of angsty steam. I have loved this series and watching the evolution of Seth and Pearl. They have finally matured and come to realize the value of life and love despite all they have done to each other. You need to read this series right now. It is perfection. Mallory Fox is an automatic one click for me. I see her name and think I must have it!!! I give this book ten stars, read it you won’t be disappointed.

This story was such an amazing story to read. I thoroughly enjoyed the conclusion of this complicated relationship. These characters have been through so much. This book really draws you in. You are constantly wondering what will happen next.

Seth and Pearl are some amazing characters. I've read characters like them but to me, I felt they were different. They hesitated on line of love and hate. There is so much drama and intensity between them that you could cut the tension with a knife.

I definitely recommend this book and this series for others to read and enjoy. Mallory Fox is a great writer and I look forward to more of her books in the future.

Tripping through a minefield of perilous drama, chilling betrayal and spiraling suspense, negotiating through the deceptive manipulations of dastardly deeds and malicious intent, checking allies and dispatching foes, propelling this baby to staggering heights. Being a huge fan of this series, I was beyond ecstatic for the last book to come out. Hearts Break did not disappoint, not even in the least. What a way to end an already phenomenal series.
Mallory is becoming one of my favorite authors and I have this series to thank. She took a forbidden love story and added so many twists and loops in the story line you sit there and think wow because you’re speechless. She delivered the perfect step brother romance/lovers to enemies series I’ve ever read. The way she writes the characters and how they feel has you right in their head experiencing their life. She also shifts point of views from both the main characters to help you really get into the story.
The story picks up off where Wicked Hearts ends. Pearl is out for blood as is her step brother who is after her inheritance. Pearl knows what she wants and is not afraid to get her hands dirty. Seth, with revenge on his tongue, wants nothing more than to take down Pearl and take over her company and fortune. In the midst of their war, they discover there are new enemies, an alliance they wouldn’t have dreamed of, and at the end of the day, learn that sometimes the ones you think you deserve the worst is actually a mask for how much you care about them. Because deep down you know you still love them despite all the difficult challenges they put you through. Get ready for betrayal, heartbreak, death, happy, angry, and WTF moments. I can not recommend this series enough and I look forward to what else Miss Mallory has in store!

Vengeance, is Sweet.

The conclusion to the story about the Darlington’s and the Montfords battle for control of Pearl Darlington’s luxury hotel chain.
It also follows the hot and cold continuing relationship between Seth and a Pearl.
Marcel Montford (Grandfather of Seth)is the epitome of evil.
A villain of comic book proportions. He even loves to kill innocent animals.
Later we find out how Marcel,s twisted hunting game ‘Killing the Doe’ transformers into a sick abusive hunting game where he pursues homeless and trafficked women for sport.

So while, Pearl and Seth argues about their relationship, they both try to find information to bring Marcel’s business down while a Pearl try’s to hide an even bigger secret from Seth.
This all goes on against the backdrop an exclusive Swiss college and amongst the lives of the to of the extremely rich and famous.

The plot in this story was very compelling. The only part of this story that was a little bit of a let down for me was actually Seth and Pearl...Well, probably Pearl mostly...I just found that she had become a little soft compared to the ball-breaker take no prisoners girl in the first book.
But, I suppose this could be explained away by her new family dynamic.
Overall, this book kept me interested until the end...Even IF that ending was soooo predictable.
Sometimes I get a little annoyed at writers, and fell cheated, when they present you with what looks like a twist of an ending, only to take it back and make everything rainbows and unicorns.

I sat on writing this review for a day or 2 and came to the conclusion of giving it a 3 and ½ stars.

It felt almost like a different book. It switched gears pretty dramatically half way thru from seth being really harsh and sticking to his tried and tested bullying ways of "shame, humiliation, pain and regret" to them suddenly teaming up to take down "a bigger enemy" that hadn't really been addressed in all three books. It had been mentioned a couple of times but not in the same respect as being a serious threat.

On a happier note I have to say the steamy scenes in this one got hotter 🔥🔥 and more frequent and were fun to read!

The continuation of involving other characters carried on enriching the story and, from what I saw enabling the author to write books based around them which is great! Opportunity grabbed!! 😁

Pearl, for such a young age took a lot on her shoulders it has to be said. And to keep going without a complete breakdown was a credit to her and wonderful to see such a strong female lead. Yes, she had a soft spot for Seth which led her into a few awkward situations but she's head over heels for him and every now and then her walls come down by mistake and she sadly let's him in at times she shouldn't. But to carry on getting her education.... Her fight against Seth which keeps getting dirtier and dirtier and she ends up scrambling for help... It's admirable.

Would I recommend the series? If you're looking for a seriously dark, detailed bullying and steamy series this probably isn't the one.
However, it's light to read, not too much darkness or severe bullying, the story and characters get better as you go along, and has a cute HEA.

WOW! What a fantastic ending to the tale of Seth and Pearl. Very important secrets, which were sweet, emotional, and sorrowful, were revealed and were further intensified by Seth and Pearl ending the denial of their true feelings for each other, rejecting the poisonous hate fueled by their family feuds, and forgiving their past deceptions in order to move forward in Love. I must also say the sexiness increased tenfold in this book.
When it came time to fight against those who wanted to come between them, our couple fought against their rivals together, instead of fighting them on their own. And, these battles were as dark and as violent as they could get. So, in the end, out of old, dark vengeful feuds true requited Love and the power of forgiveness overruled all. Most importantly, a destined Love and a family are finally made whole.
They may be a modern, twisted Romeo and Juliet, however, there is no doubt Seth and Pearl have a happier fate. I'm hoping Ms. Fox will release a novella as a follow-up story for these two, but until then, if you enjoy bully dark step-brother romances with angst, privileged dynamics, and a present desire to be united with a true Love, then this trilogy is a must-have you should not delay to read.

Book 3 of 3.
It is a first read series by this author for me and I kind of have a love hate relationship which is fitting given the storyline.
The general storyline was great; I was engaged with the characters and never questioned that I would complete the story as there was so many twists and turns I HAD to know what was going to happen next.
The only problems I had were with continuity and that the FMC seemed, to me, to be a completely different person from book 1 to 2.....there is a time jump so this could be explained as being a result of experiences changing her, but for me it was quite jarring.
It is my understanding that book 2 was written first and then book 1 as a prologue, which I think shows as book 1 was clearly shoe-horned to fit the historic narrative created in book 2 but it doesn't quite match up......
Despite my misgiving I would read future works by the author as the good outweighed the bad.

I absolutely loved all three books!! I LOVED the writing style and dialogue! I cringed a little at the ending of the first book but it didn’t stop me from devouring the second. That being said, Pearl drove me crazy in the second book. I don’t know how many times I screamed at her in my head to get a new fucking lawyer!!! Lol, also she was a bit weak in the second book. I expected more cold hearted Pearl especially after how she was at the end of book one. Flick was, in my personal opinion, a terrible friend always leaving Pearl with unsavory characters to fuck about, as they would say. 🤪 I really did not like keeping the child a secret and could have done without that part in the books. Either way, I really loved the twists and turns of this trilogy. My heart broke over and over for both characters and then mended itself back together for them as well. Of course there were things I didn’t like but it had nothing to do with the author and making me feel engaged enough to be annoyed with characters is a good thing to me. I 100% recommend reading these books!!

The Hunt is on and who will win?
Seth has finally decided to side with Pearl and help her take down his Grandfather Marcel, but at what cost. Pearl is in way over her head and there may not be a way out this time.
This is the third and final book to the Wicked Hearts at War series. It is filled with twists, turns, deceit, secrets, angst, bullying, steam, and sex. It is an amazing Bully enemy to lover romance read that leaves you hanging on to the edge of your seat wanting more, getting so much more than you thought, thinking you have it figured out, screaming, not wanting to put it down, hating characters, loving characters and just realizing you need to keep reading, because you are not going to figure it out. So buckle up and enjoy the ride! Thanks Mallory for taking us on this rollercoaster ride with Pearl and Seth!!

Amazing!

You know how when you start a book that has you so enthralled that you can't stop or put it down? Well that was this whole series! I read all 3 back to back even staying up all night to read because I couldn't put them down! And you know what? I still want more! I cannot wait for the other books to come! Especially Romain's. Even though hes a whole lot of crazy I think that just makes me more intrigued with him!!! And Levi? He was so sweet and helpful in this book that I cant wait to see his dark side and what he is truly made of!

This book felt alittle rushed to me towards the end but that was ok. I do have a few more questions that were not answered or if they were I somehow overlooked them but all in all this was still epic! And well worth 5 stars for sure! Mallory blew me away with this book!

The blurb doesn't gives this book enough justice.
I've got the chance to read the trilogy in one go and I recommend that you do too as the story is not easily to break apart. The action is almost non-stop so you will be left with big cliff-hangers and to be honest the best parts are not in the first book.
As for the story itself, it is about 2 complicated and rich families that get united by a short lived marriage. A love marriage that just like in Romeo and Juliet is not desired by the "elder" of the family and that is bound to repeat itself in the next generation of step-siblings.
The story is about their hate-love relationship starting in college and spanning a few years during witch a lot of deals, misunderstandings, attacks, and a lot more happen before what we expect to be the final happy ending. The voyage is great for those that like a bit of a darker romance (just a bit).

Pearl and Seth booth two! This is a captivating, heart breaking story! This book contains so much action, twists, thrills, it really has everything you contemporary reads are loving right now. AND a step-brother dark romance, those four words sound so perfect together! The writing was written very well in the book and it was really easy to follow along the storyline. This book shows both POVS, which I’m really digging. She really gets inside us and works her word magic. So descriptive scenes its very easy to picture. Lots of secrets in this book and it would just be so much better if Pearl just told Seth! But then where would the drama be? I do love good drama in a book! Lots of steam in this book also, LOVED it!

Good Book

WTAH wow I knew Marcel was a evil vindictive bastard but what happened at the cabin was 🤯
I still hate the fact Pearl lied about what happened with Seth in book one but what they have went through and done to each other was brutal.
That fashion show was amazing and ah man poor Beth, I would have liked a bit more detail on that and exactly what Marcel did to Beth and see some closure and response from her if she is going to be ok.
Also it didn’t say what happened to all the others Royce & Davis especially and Romain should have said what happened to Odette so all aspects were closed.
I did enjoy the series but the icing was the girls at the fashion show... that was brilliant.

“You’re going to just let him hurt her, aren’t you? So much for all your holier than thou bullshit. I was fucking seventeen when I made the biggest mistake of my life, but you just keep on fucking making them.”

Hearts Break concludes this series and it’s packed full of twisted action. Trust no one because it seems there are many people playing games and taunting Pearl. She comes out fighting like the protective mamma bear she is, no one will come between her and her daughter or harm a hair on her head. Seth’s laying low, managing the impossible Pearl walks straight into the devils lair to seek his help. Everything comes at a price, with numerous death threats and nothing to lose she will not give up until she gets what she wants.

A great conclusion...
This third instalment was action packed, full of twists and the perfect conclusion.
I’m so glad the readers finally got the ending we had been waiting for, Seth and Pearl’s relationship has been full of love, hate, deceit and distrust but it all comes to a head in this final instalment.
I read all 3 books in the trilogy back to back completely hooked on all the action and the drama. So many twists, it definitely was a page turner.
The characters were great, Seth stole my heart completely and at times I really connected with them both.

A brilliant trilogy and a definite must read!!

I just finally finished Hearts Break and omg my heart! It was such a beautiful ending to the series and i will miss them! I look forward to the other books you will create in their world though! Especially one about Romain as he intrigues me. Loved this so much! Seth and Pearl would have been so much better off without other adults involved I their relationship from the beginning, poor things. But then there would be no fantastic drama! The ending for Marvel was perfect. I felt that most of those involved got what they deserved, so of course that makes for a satisfying ending. I would like to know what happened to Constance, she was a twat. But ah well. Lol great book.

This book was insane in a great way, but I thought the twists and turns were awesome! This is my first Mallory Fox book and I fell in love with Seth and Pearl. Their love is forbidden and yet so right. They have had so many challenges thrown at them and in the end it was a beautiful conclusion. There are a few moments where i found my mouth hanging open and others where i smiled, because it was ultimately so sweet. The different POV chapters were perfect and i loved getting deeper insight into these characters. I look forward to the continuation of everyone's stories!!

I jumped into this book after the second. I needed them to get it together. It's very clear that Seth is so weak for Pearl. And I guess if a guy puts his heart on his sleeve then I automatically must protect him at all costs.

Pearl didn't seem to evolve as much as I would've liked, despite everything she's still the same person and I didn't really feel her connection with the mystery (I'm trying not to spoil things) character. Like it seemed super superficial.

Truthfully I was a but bothered by the resolution of the conflict. Like it was too nice and neat and after everything, there should've been more. imo.

This was the absolute perfect conclusion to this series!! Seth and Pearl may very well be some of my favorite characters ever. They say there's a fine line between love and hate and they are truly the perfect example of that statement. They cross so many lines to get what they want when all they really ever needed was each other. Secrets are revealed. Expect some ah ha moments in this one and don't expect anything. This book makes you sit up and take notice. It was awesome and I loved every minute of reading it.
