Five she knocked it out of the ballpark stars!!!
Another fantastic installment to the Detective Josie Quinn Series. This is book number eight folks, but I believe this would work very well as a stand-alone book but do yourself a favor and start at the beginning - you will thank me.
Josie has not seen her twin sister Trinity after she stormed out of Josie's home after an argument three weeks ago. Finally, Noah has convinced Josie that enough time has passed, and Josie decides that she is going to go see Trinity in the cabin she is renting. Except Trinity is not there. What is there is Trinity's purse, her car, her cell phone and human remains...
Gathering her team, and an investigation ensues and soon Josie learns that the remains are not her sister but another woman who went missing. Soon Josie and her team get more answers and have even more questions. Just where is Trinity? What is the clue she left behind? Who is the serial killer who is creating sculptures out of his victim's bones?
This book had it all - character development, mystery, suspense, drama, and more background on Trinity. Through the story, the reader learns more about Trinity's past, her current life, and her work status. Regan also shows the effect of stress on individuals and family members effectively. Plus, the characters that I love are all on board to solve the mystery. My fingers are crossed that Patrick and Drake are featured more in future books.
I found this book to be a fast read as I was so enthralled by the story. I found this book to be captivating, thought-provoking and well researched. Lisa Regan is a fast writer and yet her books do not suffer for it, in fact, I think she is getting better. If she keeps writing I will keep reading her books. If you haven't read Regan yet, I highly recommend her books.

EXCERPT: Arrayed on the grass before her were bones. Human bones. Not left there, or dumped, but arranged.

A ribcage and spine made up the centrepiece of whatever it was that Josie was staring at - some kind of symbol? Remnants of some kind of satanic ritual? Surrounding the ribcage and spine were smaller bones. Some clinical part of her mind recognized those as the tiny bones of the hands, fingers, feet and toes. Intermingled with those were the clavicles. At the bottom of the circle, pointing from the outer edge toward Josie's feet were longer bones. Arm bones, the cool investigator in the back of her mind whispered, because they were too small to be leg bones. Beneath those bones were the skull and pelvic bone. The empty eye sockets of the skull stared back at Josie, making her chest feel tight. She tore her eyes away from it and looked toward the upper right hand side of the circle, where the leg bones lay, angled away from Josie.
A violent trembling took over her body. Her feet turned and tried to carry her away, but her shins knocked against one of the Adirondack chairs and she went flying over it, tumbling toward the back of the cabin. Her head smacked against the rack of firewood and some of the logs tumbled into her lap. She closed her eyes and tried to slow her breathing. There was a calm, firm voice in the back of her mind - the one that gave her orders when her body shut down from fear or panic. The police officer inside her. 'Take out your phone,' it told her. 'Call for back-up.'

MY THOUGHTS: #8 in the Josie Quinn series! How did we get here so quickly? I have read and enjoyed every one, and Find Her Alive is every bit as good as any of the previous books.
This is easily read as a stand-alone, the back story is fully explained. And that, funnily enough, is my one complaint about Find Her Alive, there's a little too much explanation of the backstory and, for the first time, it doesn't fit easily into this story.
Lisa Regan continues with her character development, this time introducing a love interest for Josie's twin, Trinity. Don't worry...there's no mushy stuff! Regan concentrates firmly on the main plot line - Trinity's disappearance. We learn a lot more about Trinity's background in this book. And believe me, there's a few surprises in there.
Regan's books have it all - mystery, crime, suspense, excitement. At one point, I gasped out loud, both shocked and horrified, but unable to stop reading. The chapters are short and tense. An easy and rewarding read.
You can start with Find Her Alive, but really? You're going to love it. You're going to want to read all the earlier books in the series. And if you read this first, you're going to know stuff that you need to not know to get the most from those earlier books. So please, just be good little readers and start this series from the beginning.

Guess who's back, back again

If you have not read this series yet, what are you waiting for? Lisa Regan has brilliantly plotted each of the books in this series and this might just be the best one yet! Explosive, tense, smart, suspenseful, addictive. Crime thrillers with well-developed characters and clever storylines. Each book can be read as a standalone, but I strongly encourage you to read them all. Josie is such a great character and there’s so much growth in her throughout these books. Also each story offers you a glimpse into each of the secondary characters backstories. This book gives us an opportunity to learn a little more about Trinity (Josie’slong lost twin sister).
Josie has not had contact with her sister Trinity a popular morning news host for several weeks, not since they had a bit of a fall out. When Josie is not able to contact her by phone she decides to head to the cabin where she has been staying. When she gets there she finds Trinity‘s car and purse, but no Trinity. She also finds human bones laid out in an artistic manner. Who’s bones are these? And do they have anything to do with what Trinity was investigating before she went missing? Once again Josie finds herself investigating a dark crime where Time is of the essence. Loved playing detective and investigating right along side Josie and crew. All the usual characters helped Josie with the investigation, my favorites of course being Noah and Gretchen. We also get to know Josie‘s parents better in this book as well as her brother Patrick. The mystery was intelligent and I loved how it incorporated shorthand and symbolism. Another winner in this excellent series!

Dang, it! I am conflicted here with Find Her Alive and again, that overthinker in me ruined that ending for me!
I love Lisa Regan and she is a favourite for a couple of us in the Traveling Sister Group. When a new book to this series comes out, we start reading it together right away. My TS, who read this one with me, loved it and I was the only one left conflicted with my thoughts.
Overall I enjoyed the story and it was a fast-paced page-turner for me. What I love about this series in we get to see a bit more into Josie's personal life with each book. In this story, after her twin sister Trinity goes missing, we learn more about Trinity and her childhood. Josie determined to find her alive, puts her feeling aside and follows the clues. I love how Lisa Regan layers those clues for us to follow along with Josie and figure some out as she does while also surprising us with the final twist to the story.
The ending and that final reveal left me feeling a bit disappointed and I wish it didn't go there, but after reading eight books in the series and loving them up to this one, I can let it go because I love Josie!! I look forward to the next one!

5 Josie Quinn is amazing stars
This one is just as good as the previous seven titles in the series. I devoured the first three back-to-back and now I’ve eagerly read each new installment. Luckily, Lisa Regan is a quick writer and we get a new installment about every six months.
The star of the show is Detective Josie Quinn and this one dives deep into her twin sister’s life. Trinity is the co-anchor of a national morning show but she’s on a bit of a hiatus because of some inappropriate on-air remarks. She’s digging into a cold case to work her way back into the network’s good graces. Trinity and Josie have an argument and Trinity storms out to finish up her new story. As time goes on, Josie starts to worry that no one has heard from Trinity, in fact, she is missing. Is Trinity’s disappearance tied to her investigation? Can Josie put the pieces together and find her in time?
This one did a great job of developing the character of Trinity and I think the two sisters will now have an even deeper bond. There’s a mystery to solve, suspense, and a chilling conclusion.
Fellow book friends, if you have some extra time on your hands these days and you are looking for a good series to distract you, pick this one up!

Trinity is the co-anchor of a national morning show but she’s on a bit of a hiatus because of some inappropriate on-air remarks. She’s digging into a cold case to work her way back into the network’s good graces. Trinity and Josie have an argument and Trinity storms out to finish up her new story. As time goes on, Josie starts to worry that no one has heard from Trinity, in fact, she is missing. Is Trinity’s disappearance tied to her investigation? Can Josie put the pieces together and find her in time?
This one did a great job of developing the character of Trinity and I think the two sisters will now have an even deeper bond. There’s a mystery to solve, suspense, and a chilling conclusion.
Fellow book friends, if you have some extra time on your hands these days and you are looking for a good series to distract you, pick this one up!

That could very well have been the best book yet! By now I feel that I have really got to know Josie Quinn and her family, so when her twin sister, Trinity, got kidnapped I was devastated.
Following an argument and the receipt of a mysterious package Trinity leaves Josie’s place in a huff and a hurry. She is headed for a holiday cabin for a ‘sabbatical’. After Josie’s repeated calls and text messages to Trinity go unanswered for weeks she heads up to the cabin to confront her sister face-to-face. Trinity’s car is at the cabin, all packed up as if she were about to leave, but there is no sign of Trinity herself. A note to the landlord inside the cabin indicates she planned to please three weeks ago. Josie searches frantically and makes a shocking discovery outside - skeletal remains arranged on the grass in a strange tableau. Josie recoils in horror thinking it is Trinity. But wait, bodies take longer than three weeks to decompose, don’t they? But if it’s not Trinity, then who is it?
And so begins Josie’s descent into hell as she tries to follow the scant and very opaque clues left by Trinity, and to follow in her footsteps to find a serial killer like none other. Hoping against hope to find her sister in the process. Preferably alive. This was like a bullet train from page 1. I really, really enjoyed this. Book 8 and one of the best in the series in this book lovers opinion! Wow 😮
It is no secret that I am a massive fan of Lisa Regans writing , especially the Josie Quinn series. She has really had a hard life and her actions show that she is tough and it will take a lot to knock her down. Things had just started to settle a bit and now this! Her long lost sister Trinity, a TV news reporter has gone missing from her last known location. When Josie arrives, her sisters car and valuables are still in place. And then she find human bones on the property. They can’t possibly be Trinity’s, but who do they belong to and why are they there? Josie and her team work together with her family to put all the pieces together and hopefully find her sister, alive.
I love that we learn more about Josie and Trinity’s family in this book. Trinity has been in many books but we didn’t know much about her. Her childhood and the loss of her sister are all delved into deeper which was great. I hope that book 9 will not be so person al for Josie, she needs a serious break!

Josie and Noah make me smile They have gone through so much together, and I like reading about them. I am so glad I discovered this series with the first book. Meeting Josie and reading about her horrific childhood made me feel so sorry for her, and then reading about her as a detective (Chief for a short time) and her unique ability to process information and solve Murders made me in awe of her. I am glad that I had all the background on everyone (except FBI Agent Drake), so reading as they worked together
to solve the Bone Artist’s Crimes and find Trinity made it easier to concentrate on the killer and his unusual family. WOW! Also, thank goodness for Lisette.

This is the eighth book in the Detective Josie Quinn series. While it could be read as a standalone you would be depriving yourself if you did not read the previous books in order to get an understanding of the characters and their relationships. For those not familiar, Josie is a detective with the Denton, Pennsylvania police department. Her sister, Trinity, is a network anchor on a morning talk show. Or at least she was. A faux pas has put Trinity off air "on assignment". Trinity is staying with Josie and her boyfriend, Noah. She is working on something that will get her back on air but has not told anyone what it is. Then, after an argument, she leaves Josie and Noah's house to work on her big story at a remote cabin.
Three weeks have elapsed and Josie has not heard from Trinity or been able to contact her. Noah, who had no idea that Josie and Trinity had an argument, convinces Josie to go to cabin and talk to Trinity. Patch things up. What Josie finds when she arrives shocks her to the core. Trinity's car is in the driveway with her key in the ignition, her suitcase on passenger seat, her cell phone in the console. In the cabin there is a note on the table that Trinity left for the landlord indicating she had only stayed for one week. Behind the cabin Josie finds human bones near the firepit. The bones have been arranged. Some sort of sculpture.
Shocked and fearing the worse Josie calls Noah. Her team arrives and begins to process the crime scene. She is relieved when dental records do not match those of Trinity. They learn the victim is a single mother from a nearby town. Josie is still saddened and angry. Although the remains do not belong to Trinity someone else is still dealing with a loss. And what happened to Trinity?
As the investigation proceeds Josie and her team learn that they dealing with a serial killer known as the Bone Artist. He arranges the bones of his victims in some kind of sculpture. He has been on the loose in Pennsylvania for decades and he is escalating his attacks. The bones of his victims are found thirty days after they disappear. And Trinity may be his next victim. The race is on to save her.
Readers of previous books in the series know that Josie was kidnapped as a child. She has been reunited with her birth parents and her twin sister. We have learned about Josie's childhood and past but there has never been a lot of information on Trinity. In this story we get to know more about Trinity and her childhood. The years she grew up believing her twin sister had died.
A terrific addition to the series. If you have read previous books in the series I think you will like this one. If you haven't had the opportunity to check it out and you like thrillers and suspense stories with strong female leads I recommend this series.

Count on this series to be consistently good, and this one - the eighth - fits the pattern well. The story is a bit more "far out" than the others I've read, but it doesn't matter - I stayed up late to finish the last four chapters just because things were moving so fast at that point that I didn't want to wait till morning to find out what happened.
Josie Quinn, a detective in rural Denton, Pennsylvania, has twin sister Trinity. It's been only recently that they discovered each other (background on all that is in previous books); and even now, their interaction can be a bit tense. Trinity, who is a well-known TV news anchor, came to visit Josie and her significant other Noah Fraley, also a police officer. Convinced she was about to be fired, Trinity was on the trail of a major breakthrough story that would revive her TV career big-time.
But about three weeks ago, the twins got into an argument and Trinity stalked out - renting a remote hunting cabin for a reason known only to her. When she can't reach her sister, Josie heads to the cabin, where she encounters a gruesome sight: human bones neatly arranged outside the cabin. Needless to say, she's terrified that the bones are Trinity's, although it seems unlikely that total decomposition could have happened this rapidly.
When the police team come in to investigate, Josie is relieved; dental records confirm the remains are not Trinity, but rather a missing woman from a nearby town. Now, the investigation expands, but it seems to go nowhere fast. Gleaning some clues from a handwritten message Trinity apparently left on her car - which was found outside the cabin complete with her purse and cell phone - Josie determines that Trinity's big story involved an as-yet-unidentified serial killer known for his "artistry" with human bones.
Along the way, other bone formations are found, adding urgency to the investigation. Is Trinity still alive, and if she is, can they find her before it's too late? Josie is hot to trot with ideas and suggestions, but not all are taken seriously simply because of her obvious personal interest in the case.
And tttthhhhhaaat's all from me, folks, except to say it's a dash to an exciting finish with a couple of twists thrown in. Find Her Alive is the eighth instalment in the Detective Josie Quinn series, set in Denton, Pennsylvania, and rather than losing steam this series is getting better and better with each book. It isn't necessary to have read the previous books in order to fully enjoy this instalment as the author provides enough backstory to get new readers up to speed. Josie is beginning to worry about her twin sister, Trinity; she left their home after an argument a month ago and no one has seen hide nor hair of her since. She decides to drive to the cabin Trinity had been renting and finds her car packed full of her belongings ready to leave but there's no sign of her anywhere. After looking around she discovers a set of human bones behind the cabin her mind jumps immediately to a serial killer who was active in 2008 and who used to arrange human bones into patterns as a thrill. She now fears her sister is in extreme danger but everyone thought this particular serial killer was either dead or imprisoned. Can she find Trinity before it's too late?
Lisa Regan is a crime writer you can rely on to bring you superb police procedurals; she has never published a bad novel so she's on my favourite writer's list due to that. This is a riveting and exciting read and there are different threads to the plot to keep your interest throughout. The search for Trinity is filled with palpable tension and as they realise this could very well be linked to a serial killer cold case they widen their investigation. It's a real page-turner and an easy and relaxing read despite the grisly subject matter. I enjoy the grittiness of these thrillers and the twists and surprises that are revealed as we progress. It moves at a fast pace and is written in such a way that it pulls you in and before you know it you're, sadly, turning the final page. There is tonnes of drama and suspense and the story gradually becomes more and more addictive as you read on. Josie and her team are not only colleagues but friends too and I must say that they also feel like friends to us readers too as they are so engaging and relatable. Once Acting Chief of Police, Josie Quinn is now doing what she is best suited for. She’s back to being a detective and happy. She is learning to love her new-found family, but it is keeping her busy. So is dating Detective Noah Fraley.
My Synopsis: (No major reveals, but if concerned, skip to My Opinions)
Josie's twin sister Trinity, a news reporter, has recently made a faux pas on air, and is "on leave". She has been spending the time with Josie and Noah, but nothing they do can raise her spirits. Reporting is her career. A heated disagreement with Josie has Trinity storming off, and renting a hunting cabin in the woods.
Unknown to Josie, Trinity has been looking into a story, a cold case. A serial killer known as The Bone Artist was active in Pennsylvania years ago, but was never captured. Trinity has a lead.
When no one hears from her sister, Josie checks out the hunting cabin, where she finds Trinity's car, her purse, her cell phone....and human remains. But it is quickly determined that the bones are not that of her sister.
Now the hunt is on, for Trinity, and for the serial killer who kidnapped her.
My Opinions:
I think this is probably the best of the series so far. I really like the characters in these books. The author develops their personalities with each new book.
The story was told from Josie's perspective, but a secondary character makes an appearance. A young boy named Alex is telling his story, and it is tragic.
The plot was really good, and the action consistent, creating a very fast read.
I must admit that I had guessed the identities of the perpetrator(s) about mid-point, but there was still a surprise or two in store.
This was an emotional read, dealing with kidnapping, abuse, and mental health issues. Definitely worth looking into this series if you haven't already....but please start with the first book.

Detective Josie Quinn's twin sister, Trinity, stormed out of the house a few weeks ago after an argument. The two of them have just met recently, as they were separated at birth, so they haven't developed that sibling love and trust. Trinity has gone to a cabin in a remote area....
so when human remains are found at that same location, Josie panics. No one has seen her or talked to her for several weeks.
Although Josie's car is still at the cabin .. with keys in the ignition.. luggage in the back seat.. Trinity is missing. The remains are later found to be those of another woman from a nearby town.
But Trinity has left a message for Josie ...
In need of a big story to save her journalism career, it seems Josie’s sister was attempting to make contact with a dangerous serial killer known for creating sculptures with his victim’s bones. And Trinity won’t stop until she’s found him, even if it means becoming his next masterpiece…
So who has Trinity? Is she even still alive?
This is one of my favorite series by one of my favorite authors. I always know what I will get when one of this author's books come out .... a tightly woven plot, suspense from start to finish ...memorable characters ... and an explosive unexpected conclusion. Combining Josie's personal life with her professional is like getting a bonus. It gives the characters a real face.

FIND HER ALIVE is Josie Quinn #8 and another great addition to this highly addictive series! When Josie's sister Trinity goes missing, it's up to her to draw a serial killer's attention to her in an effort to draw him/her out before it's too late. Failure is not an option! Highly recommended!

Holy smokes!! Get on this speed train as there is nothing better than the latest installment from author Lisa Regan. The book was fast-paced, smooth, with boatloads of backstory so that I was never missing the details I had forgotten, great characters, and a murder mystery which had more twists than a high speed twister. What more could I ask for? The book was the best in the police procedural I had read this year.
The story struck closer to home for Detective Josie Quinn when her twin sister Trinity disappeared, and well posed bones were found behind the cabin. Was that Trinity’s? A delicious question I asked myself. Would the author chop off a character so close to the lead cop?
A roller coaster ride was this where the disappearance of the sister made the stakes higher. The author’s writing was smooth as whiskey and the forensics made it more interesting. Well researched by the author. Josie was brilliant, her emotions especially fear and trepidation hit me hard. And the determination she showed to solve the case won me over. She was highly likable, my anchor in this book.
The story was a murder mystery at the core with a killer in the background, and it was all hands on deck for the team. And they rallied together as Trinity was their own. Secrets were revealed at the right moment, and clues were peppered into the prose. I tell ya, author Lisa Regan is a craft fox. She knew how to pull me into the story, away from my chores.
The story had everything, it was complete. It brought peace to me when my mind was in chaos. It shut off my mind from the outer world for those few hours. I lived in Jose’s world, and it was rocking!!

I received an ARC copy of this book from the Publisher via Netgalley and voluntarily leaving my review.
Josie and Trinity has an argument that had Trinity storming out. Josie decide to let things cool off but when she doesn’t hear from her sister in weeks she fears something happened.
Josie is call upon a crime scenes when human remains are found and she fears it’s her sister Trinity because she was there before but when she gets there even though it’s sad what she sees she relieve it’s isn’t her sister.
As she and her team learns what her sister Trinity was doing she follow the clues her sister left behind and learns she was determine to contact a serial killer who likes to make sculpture with the victims bones and Josie fears the worst.
I like the mystery of this story but what I enjoy was the dynamic between Josie and Trinity and was happy to get more glimpses of Trinity life and that it wasn’t all that great just because she had great parents.

Josie is call upon a crime scenes when human remains are found and she fears it’s her sister Trinity because she was there before but when she gets there even though it’s sad what she sees she relieve it’s isn’t her sister.
As she and her team learns what her sister Trinity was doing she follow the clues her sister left behind and learns she was determine to contact a serial killer who likes to make sculpture with the victims bones and Josie fears the worst.
I like the mystery of this story but what I enjoy was the dynamic between Josie and Trinity and was happy to get more glimpses of Trinity life and that it wasn’t all that great just because she had great parents.

I would like to thank Netgalley and Bookouture for an advance copy of Find Her Alive, the eighth novel to feature Detective Josie Quinn of the Denton, Pennsylvania PD.
After weeks of not hearing from her reporter sister, Trinity, after a fight Josie decides to visit her in her rented cabin. Trinity is missing although her car and belongs are there, as is a posed set of human bones. Josie is relieved the bones do not belong to Trinity so all she has to do is find her, but that’s easier said than done when all indications are that she has been taken by a serial killer thought to be either dead or imprisoned.
I thoroughly enjoyed Find Her Alive which is an exciting read with a warm feel to it despite the gruesome subject matter. The novel is told from two points of view, one being Josie’s and the other belong to a young child called Alex who is suffering from a dysfunctional upbringing. There is enough mystery in his stories to make it interesting, rather than just another fictional case of child abuse. Josie’s narrative tells the story of the investigation which starts with the hunt for Trinity but soon widens into a cold case investigation of a serial killer. It is tense and exciting in parts as the team follows the clues and keeps widening the scope of their investigation. It is not a particularly profound novel as events and reveals arrive at fortuitous moments to maintain momentum and push them on but it is absorbing and keeps the reader turning the pages. What more could you want in this era of slow moving time?
Josie and her cohorts have become like friends over the course of the series so it is pleasant to spend time with them. This novel concentrates on Trinity’s backstory (Josie did not grow up with her) so the reader gets to know this rather aloof and solitary individual better. Does it ring true? I don’t think so and the coincidences would trouble even the most uncritical reader. Does it matter? Definitely not, as this is an events driven novel and works well as such.
Find Her Alive is a good read that I have no hesitation in recommending.

First off, let me start by saying...
OHMAHGAWD...this book is brilliant.
This author is so dang talented, the depth of said talent literally blows my mind. She is in Karin Slaughter, Lisa Gardner league, no joke.
This story completely sucked me in...at one point I was on treadmill and literally reading I leaned in like the reporters did in book to hear what Josie was saying. (78%)
I’m telling you this book is incredible...in another part I cried with a realization that took place. The depth of character that you get to see of Josie as well as her sister is so good. Not to mention the murder mystery, so twisted, dark and how this author weaves such an intricate tale is just brilliant. Being able to see Josie’s real parents and siblings and a glimpse of what they endured without her was so sad and enlightening. And seeing Josie in cop mode was also goose bump worthy. Also the scene with Drake...🤯
The more you get into this series the better it gets. This is I believe book 8 and you are still seeing different sides of Josie. What a cop she is! But man what a woman she is, after everything she has dealt with. This book gave us such a different side of her. When I finished well I’ll say it again, my mind was blown. I can’t wait to see what comes next. Because I gotta tell you...this author for me has risen to the top.

My description for this book.. unputdownable (so engrossing that one cannot stop reading it). When Josie's sister Trinity goes missing the team have their hands full trying to find out who took her and to find her before it's too late.
Another fascinating part of the book was finding out more about Trinity's childhood. We've always known the ugly of Josie's and just assumed because Trinity had good parents that hers was perfect but boy that was not so..
Eight books into the series now and it's just as innovative as the first. Just keeps getting better..

What a fantastic crime thriller!
Deceive Josie Quinn finds herself having a personal connection to a missing person case as the missing person is her twin sister Trinity.
Josie is faced with a lot of questions and very little answers like why did Trinity refer to her as her birth name Venessa and does she know her sister well enough to solve this case.
I have never read any of the Quinn books and starting at book 8 surprisingly wasn't as hard as I had expected enough of the history is discussed within the story without you feeling completely lost. Although I've already brought the first Quinn story as I fell in love with her character.
Regan is a very talented writer and her descriptions of places and people is so good that you often feel like you're right there in the action.
I did find the begining of the book dragged and I struggled to get hooked but as I don't ever leave a book unread I powered through and I am so glad i did. The action might take a bit to get started but once it does it never stops!
Its so hard to review this book without telling you everything that happened. I must say if you love a crime thriller then this is the book for you! Even if you haven't read the first 7 youn don't need to! You will get all the enjoyment you need from this story. Even if the killer is obvious it doesn't stop the suspense especially with the twist at the end that even I didn't see coming!

I've never made it a secret how much I love anything Lisa Regan writes, and Find Her Alive was no exception. She hooked me from the first page when usual put-together Trinity was anything but put-together. She was a hot mess. Josie knew it and wanted to help her, but Trinty wasn't in the kind of place to accept anyone's help. At the time that Trinity storms out of Josie's house angry, you don't know why, but by the end, oh boy, it all becomes clear.
When Josie doesn't hear from her sister for weeks, Noah encourages her to go find Trinty and work things out with her. What Josie finds at the cabin where Trinty was supposed to be, wasn't her sister. Her car, her phone, her keys, and a message to Josie was left by her sister, and someone else. That someone else, The Bone Artist, was ready to kill again and Josie feared he had her sister.
Reviewing a Josie Quinn novel is nearly impossible without giving spoilers. The story is weaved so tightly that pulling one string just a little bit will unravel all her hard work in writing a novel that is tight, fast-paced, perfectly paced, well-researched, highly explosive, and always leaves you turning 'just one more page.'
Find Her Alive gets all of Josie's family into the story from her grandmother Lisette to her mom and dad, and her brother, Patrick. I loved getting little glimpses into her family dynamics with the family she was taken from, and with her family who raised her and cared for her all these years. You watched Josie grow personally from page one to the very last page and it was nice to see she isn't a robot who goes from case to case with no emotion. I think emotion is actually the keyword for this novel for everyone, from Josie, to her family, to her team. Even the villain was ruled by emotion.
Her team is always behind her and as always, Noah is her rock. Mettner gets to take the lead for the first time on this investigation and while he steps up and does it, he still learns lesson after lesson from Josie as the investigation progresses. I loved the new addition of Drake, someone who is close to Trinity and desperate to find her. I hope he sticks around.
Find Her Alive will be a bestseller straight out of the gate because the storyline delivers in a way you don't often see in police procedurals anymore, even from the greats like James Patterson and Karin Slaughter. It's hard to find a police procedural that takes you on a wild ride with a storyline so disturbing and twisted that you don't figure it out until she unravels those threads for you one by one, but also offers your heart a little bit of hope in the process. That is exactly what Lisa Regan has done with Find Her Alive. If you have a family member you're estranged from, this novel will have you picking up your phone to call them when you finish the last page. Find Her Alive is a five star read from beginning to end!

Find Her Alive is a solid police procedural and atmospheric thriller with good character and relationship development, great storytelling plus a twisty plot. I thoroughly enjoyed the read.
