"Nothing in Pocketful is as it seems."

Evil is lurking all around us and Sketch and I cannot escape the secrets of our past. A past that, up until now, neither one of us knew existed. Torn apart by our cruel, vindictive fathers, we face our biggest challenge yet; staying alive.

Pocketful of You is the third in a four-book series. Therefore, the storyline continues into the fourth book. Because of its explicit sexual content, mature themes, bully themes, potential triggers, and bad language, it is suitable for mature readers.

Series in order:

Pocketful of Blame

Pocketful of Shame

Pocketful of You

Pocketful of Us

***4,5 "Romi-pains!!!" stars***

"Maybe it was for the best.
Death would keep us safe.
Life was too dangerous."

The development of this story is sooooo crazy!!!
Seriously guys, this story started as a bully story and it turned out so much more!!!
The story is soooo perplexed... More than i could imagine and I'm sooo frustrated!!!
The truth is that this book was too short, but it revealed so many things and at the same time, it created more questions...
What will happen after all???

"I wasn't crazy after all.
Nothing in Pocketful was as it seemed."

Sketch and Romi for once again are separating by evil forces that you could imagine them to be allies in reality!!!
Sketch is fighting for his life, but his mind and heart is always with her...
Romi is forcing to be somewhere far away and her fate is not seeming good at all!!! She is betrayed by a person very close to her... Her mind are clearing and pieces of the truth are coming slowly back...

"We love each other. We've got each other's back. Since forever and for always."

Presley, even though he don't have too, is still fighting for the truth and to help Romi and Sketch...
In order to do so, he is finding some well known characters from previous books of Chloe!!!!
Hello, Noah Messina and Lucky!!!! Woohoooooo!!!!
But still... everything is a mess and we need more answers... I can not wait for the final book!!!
Bring it on, baby!!!!

"You are my first, last, best, and only friend...
You also happen to be my first, last best, and only lover...
Because you, Romi Dillon, are my only everything."
"Since forever?"
"And for always."

Way too short, I wanted so much more. So much happens in so few pages and just leaves the reader desperately wanting more. Chloe Walsh is the queen of cliffhangers and this one is another doozy. Not long to wait until the final installment though so I guess I just have to be patient. Damn Chloe Walsh.

“It’s a lie. Your life. His life. All of it.”
“Blood, bullets, betrayal and destruction.”
Chloe Walsh

This story will have you on edge.
It’s has action, mafia, secrets, lies, love, friendship.
I love Romi and Sketch even more. The flashbacks were raw and emotional.
These cliffhangers make me want to throw my kindle.
I need book 4!

Despite promising description and all other things

1.Romi is annoying as hell. It is rare to find such an annoying and unlovable FMC as Romi. I prefer my protagonists likeable.
2. Sketch - he is also annoying as hell. This supposedly strong, independant guy is wining like a small girl (a male version to Romi).
3. The twist in the story is strange and somehow unbelievable. Cannot understand how in one day a loving parent can become unloving and cruel.
4. Why two books are divided in 4 book series? In order to get more money or what? A 100 page book? Seriously? I could have waited for the second book if the talk was about anticipation of readers.

Anyway, the story is okay, the writing - good, no bad writing errors (hate those), story flows easily and you enjoy it a lot (despite all the BS around).

Wow! You did it again Chloe Walsh...you had me hooked right from the first chapter, but it was way to short...I wanted more! We finally got some answers in this book tho and I’m looking forward to book 4. Presley is freakin hilarious. I love him and I hope we get his story soon. I loved that Noah and Lucky made an appearance in the story as well. Totally loving this series! 🥰

Cuando inicié esta serie JAMÁS imaginé que hubiera mafia en ella. Los giros cada vez me sorprenden más, creo que soy muy tonta para verlos venir pero DIOS, esto se puso FUERTE.

Those cliffhangers tho. Keeps me coming back for more. I really really enjoy Presley's character his humor is something else. I kept finding myself laughing out loud. We get introduced to new characters in this book. Still not sure how I feel about them.. but major Bombs are dropped that will have you saying WTF

Read other books from this author in the future: yes

In the third book of this series a lot of thing are happening. Romi, Skretch and Presley are torn apart. Everybody is working on solving the mystery and each one of them finds a part of it. It was a short read. Looking forward to the conclusion in book 4!

This book is explosive

So many questions answered in book 3 but now so many more possibilities.
In my eyes, this series is by far Chloe’s best work.
Can’t wait for the final book and to see how everything comes together.

I have decided that Chloe Walsh is definitely trying to swindle me with these short-as-hell books.

In the conclusion of Pocketful of Shame, the past has finally caught up to Romi Dillon and Sketch Capaldi. And now, they're experiencing the biggest domino effect of their lives.

I felt like I was getting repeatedly punched in the face with all these secrets getting disclosed. Seriously, I couldn't catch a break. Everything that was unknown in the beginning was unpacked in 178 pages. This book was just a slew of confessions and nothing else. Plus, we also get new characters who are involved in organized crime, who also have some... interesting analogies.

"Ah," Raffaele chuckled. "There is fire buried deep inside the ice that surrounds you, Ramona. You are not the delicate flower you appear—more like a hard-boiled egg. That is good to know. It will keep you strong."

W-what? A hard-boiled egg? Is that kind of comparison even a thing?

Romi and Sketch's flashbacks were raw and incredibly angsty. They're star-crossed lovers, and the bond between them truly goes back to the beginning of their lives. Also, Presley was such a highlight in this book. Despite harrowing times, he never ran out of jokes. The way he was open with ex-convicts, and how he was shamelessly flirting with straight men? Oh man, Pres was an absolute riot.

"Come on, cowboy," Lucky chuckled, throwing an arm over my shoulder. "Let me fill up that big brain of yours. You won't believe half the shit I've unearthed."
"I'd prefer if you filled my–"
"Don’t push it, cowboy."
"Okie-dokie."

So far, this short series has kept me on my toes. It's super exciting and fun, and I can't wait to see how it gets wrapped up.

Notes on safety (SPOILERS):
➛ h and H were together for five years until h's father blackmailed H to break up with her.
➛ During the the first year of the two-year separation, h dated H's twin until his death. h and OM only kissed and snuggled because h didn't want to go farther, and OM was gay.
➛ H never had any other partners.
➛ h and H were virgins until Pocketful of Shame.
➛ No cheating and no OW/OM drama once they get back together.

this starts off with sketch being shot by her dad. sketch is having flashbacks of him and romi throughout the years: their first kiss, romi’s first period (they thought she was dying). so romi actually has a twin and chris and sketch were not twins. romi’s dad has been hiding from his mafia family because he tried to overthrow the leader rafael. god this series is crazy.

Quotes:

"I love you because you are the best part of my day." Smiling, I pressed a kiss to the curve of her jaw. "I love you because you are sweet, and funny, and smoking hot –" I paused to flick my tongue over her fluttering pulse, "I love you because you make me feel wanted and safe, and…not alone. I'm always alone, Ro. 'Least that's how I feel. But you? You make the loneliness go away."

Goodreads is so fucked up honestly! It ain't letting me post a review on this one. But let me tell you guys, these books are amazing - the thrill, suspense & the romance. ALL OF IT is top notch. Idk what the heck is wrong with this app but definitely read this if you wanna read a good short series ❤️

Of course I love Sketch and Rowen ... to high school loves wanting each other. What I didn't love was all the family drama and secrets. And the author dragged a storyline into 4 FREAKEN books... for no reason. The high ratings make no sense.

I guess it made sense that dancing with Romi Dillon would be my version of heaven. After all, she'd been the only good part of my life when I was alive.
