Real good quick alpha possessive mafia novella.
Lane sees a woman being attacked and he steps in. He has never met anyone as sweet and innocent as Pepper. Pepper is entranced by her strong hero who rescues her but she doesn’t know that her rescuer is worse than her attacker.
Well written. Fast paced. Packed a lot in a short book but we’ll done. Love the instalove possessive heroes.

This one was pretty fast pace and little steam.
Pepper is pretty naive and sweet and well a cupcake :) and doesn't think anyone can do anything bad/mean (poor girl) she's running late to teach her kinder class and she runs into some trouble before anything bad can happen to her shes saved by a guy in a suit. shes so grateful and bubbly she thanks him for his kindness. That man is Lane pretty much many know him as a killer/cold collective mob/mafia boss but that moment with pepper he is already smitten. He's going to make her his. There relationship goes from 0 to 100 after that day. But trouble bubbles when enemies attack and he thinks Pepper is killed.. revenge is on his mind and he wants blood and war. Pepper is alittle hurt that Lane never informed him of his life but she still loves him. She just needs to inform him of the bundle of joy coming.
I'll be honest i did side eye nick and sophia for keeping Pepper and not informing Lane asap (even if they had beef in the past) about his woman being alive. That didnt sit well with me.
Low angst, No ow/om drama, no cheating, Slight secondary charas, Drama, sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore

Este librito no me encantó pero lo disfruté dentro de todo, sobretodo ayudó el gato Salty. Le aportó simpatía y humor.
Me gustaron Pepper y Lane al comienzo. Se conocieron de una forma poco realista pero espero eso en esta clase de libros así que estoy curada del espanto. Sin embargo, todo lo que pasó entre ellos luego lo encontré muy apresurado.
Pepper y Lane se conocen, flechazo, están unos días juntos y de repente pasa algo que los separa. Ella descubre que está embarazada y se mantiene oculta por meses sin hacérselo saber a Lane. Me pregunté cuál era el punto de eso.
Me sorprendió la aparición de Sophia y Nick Davinci. Por un momento también me pregunté el punto de eso.
La verdad me hubiera gustado ver más de la relación de Lane y Pepper que faltó eso. Su química era buena y la historia tuvo su justa cuota de momentos sexys. Pero no sentí que estuvieron juntos el suficiente tiempo para creer en su amor.
Pensamiento aparte...
Lo que me viene molestando con el libro de Nick y ahora este de Lane es que son tipos oscuros, matan y tienen negocios turbios pero no hay un conflicto en las historias por esto. Las mujeres los aceptan luego de superar la sangre digamos, y tampoco ellos mismos se redimen o cambian su vida para mejor. Continúan con sus negocios y eso me hace difícil aceptarlos como héroes o terminar de quererlos.
El final no me gustó mucho, se precipitó, entre la boda y la reunión para poner paz entre las familias. El epílogo fue adorable.
Así que fue solo un ok para mí está vez MINK.

Everyone who knows me knows that I love me some secret babies stories! I do! And if it comes to the concept of the plot I was not disappointed - however, the execution was lacking a bit. It was simply too short to evolve this idea making this read seemed rushed and sounding more like an overview of the proper novel and not a novella on its own.
That's the issue when you have a great story to write but limit on words. Could we ever expect a full length novel from this author?

Lane has never been a good man, when he sees innocent Pepper being attacked he is driven to protect her. Pepper calls him her hero, looking at him with rose-tinted glasses, but when she finds out who he is/what his job really is, will she still see him as her hero?

The hero actually helped the heroine from a trouble and he saved her because he felt like it. And after they introduced themself, THE HERO FOLLOWS THE HEROINE TO SEE WHERES SHE'S GOING. Cute!
~ I love when they meet and second time they meet again, i think its very hot and romantic at the same time. Especially the second time when the heroine was done with her work and she was walking to her car, the hero was there at her car leaning on it and eyeing her... like thats hot!

A cold blooded killer who is also the biggest softie for the women he lives seems like a contradiction but Lane is all of that and so much more. His and Pepper’s story was so much fun to read! I love how sweet she is and how she can bring this big man to his knees. Throw in a little bit of the Davincis and this book had everything!

This was a nice read... the only problem i had with it it's the few days after they start being intimate OFF PAGE! 😣
Basically we have our hero in a car, and he saw a woman dealing with a thief, he jumps out of the car and helps her, they are insta-attracted to each others, they go on a dinner date, and then they sleep with each other...then 3 days later with them being together OFF PAGE she finds out the H it's not a hero, he is bad, she finds out the guy who tried to steal her purse badly beaten at the H house and then a rival gang attached the villa and she is saved by another mafia boss and she is kept there with him and his family for 4 months... she basically hided from the H and he though she is dead... then they find each others again and profess their love, also she is pregnant....
So this was a fast read , insta love and everything...BUT i needed those days before her being away with the H ON PAGE to connect more with them....

She runs after seeing he's a bad bad man
She pregnant and finds out while in hiding
She's hidden by his frenenemy while he seeks revenge thinking she's been killed by his enemies
Eventually the friend confesses to having her and all's well that ends well
No cheating
Virgin h, no real info on him i don't think but not a manwhore
Why'd Nick and his wife hide her though? I'm side eyeing you guys okkkkkkk

Okay read and insta-love.

Pepper and Lane met when he saved her from a mugger. Then that same day, he got obsessed immediately and followed her to her work to find out everything about her. After work, he waited for her in the school parking lot and told her to have dinner with him. Well, I guess the attraction is mutual and she agreed and that night led to more. I think they spent less than a week together (the timeline is vague) and his enemies attacked his house and bombed it. Lane thought Pepper died that day, and vowed to take revenge on every person responsible for that incident.
He spent more than four months on a killing spree, and when he came back to his city. His friend went to talk to him and this friend informed Lane that Pepper is alive and is living with them. A lot of emotions passed through him, anger, happiness, excitement and so many more. He took Pepper to his new house and they jumped ahead to bone town 😂 Anyway, Pepper told him that she is pregnant and Lane is more than elated with this news. Obviously, they got their HEA and epilogue (five years later, married with children)
Overall, this is an okay read, it just didn't pull me in and the emotional connection isn't palpable between the MCs or that could be a me case, idk. Also, it didn't sit well with me that after they met again they didn't talk about things first, instead, they proceeded with jumping each other's bones. I feel like Pepper should've started their reunion with telling him about her pregnancy, and plan things from there. I guess it doesn't matter anyway because he's obsessed with her and no matter what she tells him nothing would make Lane feel less about Pepper.
Soooo, I guess this is good if readers want to pass time with a quick and short read.

Lane is not one to get involved with others but when he sees Pepper getting mugged he steps in. Lane knows in that instant that Pepper is going to be his. Pepper has no idea that Lane is anything other than sweet, but he has a dark side that he is keeping her protected from. Can the man with a hardened heart convince Pepper that she is his whole world?
This was a fun quickie. I liked Lane a lot, he is a hard man but with Pepper he is adorable Pepper is a hoot and her cat just added to her quirkiness and likeability.

3.5 - Lane no hace nada por nadie a menos que tenga un beneficio de ello, hasta que ve en problemas a Pepper. Para ella, Lane es su héroe… todo es perfecto hasta que descubre exactamente qué tipo de hombre se ganó su corazón y salen de la oscuridad muchos secretos detrás de su imagen aparentemente perfecta. La vida de ambos cambiará para siempre pero él ya tiene a su reina y no la dejará marchar. Con acción, mafia, sangre pero también dulzura y mucho amor.

Hero?
Can your hero be a bad man? That’s what Pepper has to ask herself. Quick read with some surprising,returning characters. This was a bit graphic, not gonna lie. Sweet heroine with an H that is only sweet for her!

Insta-literally-everything.
Not the worst book I've ever read but definitely not one I'll be reading again. You have to suspend your disbelief for the entire thing.

I cry murder! And blood and revenge, but that's only part of this exhilarating little romance from the twisted mind of an author I crave to read, each and every single time.
The rest is absolutely adorable and funny and cute as a pink cupcake.
A dark hero and a kindergarten teacher fall madly in love, only to get torn apart by ugly mafia violence that makes this novella a romantic though brutal tragedy. Fret not because love prevails.
There’s the purest possessive love, a miracle between lovers, a rejuvenated cat, thrilling mafia shenanigans, and an abundance of cupcakes.
I loved the sweet love the characters profess to each other, their relationship, his godly rage when he thought he had lost her, their sensual reunion, and the other couple from a previous story. The two ladies together were magical. It was perfect!

My Hero's Secret Baby by MINK (odd author name) was an enjoyable and quick read. Pepper is an innocent, sweet and curvy kindergarten teacher. When she gets mugged, a man saves her. Lane is a hardened man who deals with violence and crime. He sees Pepper getting hurt and saves her, and is now seen as a hero in her eyes. He is instantly attracted to her and asks her out. They have chemistry and a connection and start seeing each other. When Pepper sees how violent Lane is and realizes he hasn't been truthful to her, she takes the opportunity to fake her death when there is an explosion at his house. Lane, thinking that Pepper is dead, goes on to avenge her death. Pepper still has feelings for Lane, despite seeing what she's seen, and everything becomes even more complicated when she learns she's pregnant. I really liked the idea of this book and it was fun to read. You see their relationship from beginning, when they meet, to end, with their HEA. I wish I had seen a little bit more of their connection and insta-love from when they first start to date. But otherwise, this was a great read. It goes by quickly and you also see characters from some of Mink's other books. Marco, Sophia, and Nick are featured here. I was able to read this in two sittings and I was invested in Pepper and Lane's story.

Lane is cutting thru a neighborhood and spots a woman being attacked. Even though he doesn’t interfere in things that don’t benefit him, he steps in to help. Something about the girl has his attention.
What he feels toward the girl is immediate, something inside me that’s been dead before I even began living sparks to life
Pepper is an innocent kindergarten teacher and a loving cat parent. She can’t believe she is being robbed right in front of her own home, but is more pre-occupied with her savior than the man that tried to rob her.
Lane is a criminal mob boss that only knows violence and even though he knows he should just leave Pepper alone, that will not happen.
because now that I found her, there’s no chance I’m letting my Pepper go
Their relationship moves at lighting speed until Pepper finds out what Lane’s business really is.
Pepper is devastated and scared and Lane feels like his life is lost and has only one thing on his mind; revenge.

Less than 100 pages mafia romance.

I really enjoyed the hero Lane, he was protective and just a huge teddy bear.
My issue was with the h, Pepper. You know those books with really cringey, “quirky” FMC’s? This is one of them. some of the stuff she said was just so pick me that I was annoyed by her.
I read this mainly as a brain sweep from my dark duet I just finished. It’s done it’s job for me but idk if I would recommend this other than to get you out if a reading slump because it’s so easy & fast

Pepper falls in love quickly. Too bad something happens which forces these two apart.
Thank goodness it ends with an HEA!

Pepper was being robbed when Lane saw it and saved her. Lane was hooked by her sweetness that he couldn't let her go. He asked her on a date but she blurted out that she couldn't get pregnant. Lane still wanted her and soon they started dating. But their bubble soon popped when found out what kind of a man Lane actually was. When his enemies attacked his house, he thought Pepper was killed by them. So he did everything to avenge her as he was bloodthirsty. But what he didn't know was Nick Davinci saved her and took her with him. (*Remember Nick from His Virgin Queen*) Pepper stayed with them for a few months and learned that she was pregnant. Then came back to Lane. They got reunited. The End.
My Feelings -
Overall, I liked the book. You can totally read it if you don't have any problem with violence. But it was not dark though. Just a bit of things mentioned here and there.
