Drugs. Addiction. I knew those things. I lived them.
Breathed them. So when I met the Prez’s daughter I knew I needed to stay far away from her.
Yet she pushed my buttons and I found myself attracted to her and her mouthy ways.
I learned the hard way that you can’t fix what doesn’t admit to being broken.
And she was broken.

I am a wife, mother, child chauffeur and author. I love being able to create different characters and spin a web that makes them come together in the end. My books do not stick to just one genre, they span many.

I write about things that are real life situations and fairy tales are not always smooth sailing. My MC books are hard and gritty and they have struggles just like you would in life.

I also have books that are not so in your face. There are several that are good love stories that are fraught with issues that the characters have to deal with.

Great book with touch of darkness

ღ I wasn’t quite sure what to expect of this book. This one left me say WOW. This book brought me through a whole range of emotions. This is going to be another hard road for both the characters & readers alike

New chapter & new bunch of misfits. And none of them are looking for love & commitments… but of course some how they stumble across it, in their own unique way

We start off in this chapter with Gauge, who is the VP of the Maryland chapter of the Soulless Bastards.

Like any of the SBMC, Gauge has dark passed… in so many different ways this man is broken
Dezzy Montgomery.is the Prez daughter, but she hasn’t been around club in years.

See Dezzy mother took her away from club years ago, filling Dezzy head with all kinds of lies about the club & her father (Sly). But alone the way Dezzy lost herself because her mother’s manipulative & all of her mother’s crap!

Now Dezzy got herself into a jam, that she can’t seem to get out of, so course Dezzy is left with no choice, but to call her father for help

This book hurt at times to read, with all that both characters endured! The ups & downs of substance abuse and addiction.

Sadly, they both have demons & are coping the best way they can! Alone I don’t know if they can make it! Together they just might have a chance

Sometimes our fairy tales don’t always play matter how long or how hard the road was, it matters that at the end of it, we’re together. Everything isn’t perfect but they never are in life. We’re just taking it one day at a time and I don’t know that I could be happier with that. I know that we’re on the right path.

📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion+ Also I wouldn’t never discourage anyone from reading this book.

Amazing Storyline

Welcome to the Maryland Chapter of the Soulless Bastards MC and believe me it’s just as dark and dirty as the rest of Erin Trejo’s books with a very meaningful storyline. Gauge is the VP and when Sly, who is the Prez, asks for something you just do as he says. Even if this includes going to bail Sly’s daughter out of jail of which her boyfriend had turned her and her mother in. Sly warned Gauge of Dezzy’s smart mouth and attitude but it was Gauge who wanted to continue to watch Dezzy even after she was brought back unwillingly to their clubhouse.

The major storyline deals with drug addiction which I believe the author hit on with clarity for the drug addict and the people who surround them. Dezzy was left feeling hopeless and unloved since her childhood and turned to drugs to help numb these feeling. Gauge came from the other side of the drug addiction problem with watching those around him becoming and living the addict’s life.

Through all of this came a dark, gritty love story that had your heart breaking at times and getting caught up in the hot chemistry and feelings of Gauge and Dez. I would highly recommend this book for any MC lover out there.

I really enjoyed the first book in Erin Trejo’s new Soulless Bastards chapter.
Gauge has trust issues but he’s drawn to Dezzy. Dezzy well she has trust issues, daddy issues, confidence issues, she’s basically a hot mess.
They have explosive chemistry together but they both know that neither are capable of a relationship, so they fight it. Well we all know how that works. This is an emotional read so prepare yourself.

This is a truly heart wrenching story of Dezzy and Gauge. Dezzys the club princess but shes been gone a while her mum took her off and then used her for getting drugs its not until shes in a jail cell that she calls her dad. when Gauge first meets Dezzy he sees his past before him he sees a junkie but he also see someone who needs a purpose a purpose to live, can he be that purpose? Even when all Dezzy does pushes Gauge to his limits can they be each others rocks in the harsh sea ahead? well written with true care and attention to detail of the story and its characters. A heart tugging emotional read that brings a harsh reality to life. Your never not alone when you have a family behind you even if they are MC.

Absolutely Loved Gauge’s story. This storyline brings us to a new chapter of the Soulless Bastards MC - Maryland. In true Soulless Bastard fashion, Ms. Trejo, has given us a storyline full of soul searching pain, thrilling biker action and hot alphas that melt your heart as well as their sheets.

Gauge has led a tormented life. He is plagued with memories from his childhood that to this day affect his path in life. He meets his Prez’s daughter, Dezzy, for the first time when she calls her father to get her out of jail. A father she hasn’t seen or spoke to in years. Gauge has been ordered to watch over her. But keeping the drug addicted hellcat out of trouble is no easy feat. Especially when something about her calms yet infuriates the beast within him.

This is a very emotional ride that will break your heart and have you crying out for a happy ending. Simply amazing…. Grab this one up get started with the Maryland Chapter of the Soulless Bastards MC. You won’t regret it.

So many feelings brought up by this book, gauge is the club VP , I really liked his character. He’s everything you want from a hard arsed biker but he’s so much deeper than that, he’s been hardened by the life thrown at him from childhood and now he’s trying to keep his big sister from self destructing and putting her kids on the same journey as they had. Dezzy is the pres’s daughter that he hasn’t seen for years after her mum took off with her, allegedly to ‘save’ her from the club life but the reality was so different. Her mum is .... urgh, hard to find words to convey my disgusting of that woman.
The story is the battle between starting a new life and leaving the addiction of old life behind, the battle to break away from the habit that will kill you but you feel you will die without, the battle of two closed up people to let the other in.

Being introduced to a new Chapter of the Soulless Bastards is always fun and exciting. You meet new brothers to drool over and new stories to rip your heart out.
This one will pull on every emotion. It’s a battle of addiction, and it’s not an easy road.
Erin Trejo did an amazing job portraying all of the emotions and struggles that are experienced by those affected by addiction and the ones who are trying to help or understand the addict.

I loved Gauge as soon as he was introduced. Alpha, strong, bad boy, says what he wants and does what he wants. Getting to see another side of him, just rips you apart.

Dezzy was a disaster from the beginning. I made my opinion quickly of her, but it was obliterated shortly into the story. I almost felt guilty for feeling what I did in the beginning.

It’s not a pretty ride, it’s not smooth sailing, but it is full of heart, pain, tears, struggle and triumphs. This book affected me in ways I never knew. Blessed to not have to deal with addiction in my life, I didn’t have a clue of both sides of the story. This book will give you insight and will make you look at things a little differently. At least, for me it did.

The other characters in this chapter of the Soulless Bastards are going to be a ride you won’t want to get off of!!

If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Erin Trejo has done it again. Gauge meets Dezzy, Sly's daughter when they have to go bail her and her mother out of jail. Once she was released; on condition that she stays with Sly, Gauge was tasked with keeping an eye on her. Dezzy is an addict, which is something Gauge can't stand. He knows all too well after witnessing what happened to his mother and now his sister. The affair between them is very complex and confusing and sad at times. She feels that she isn't wanted by her dad or worth anything and that she has nothing to live for. Gauge also has his own problems dealing with a sister that recently OD'd on drugs and is now in rehab. When Dez attempts suicide by drowning, Gauge rushes back to her side and tries to reassure her that things will be OK and she has to try and stay clean. She remains in rehab for a couple of weeks, but is put in a situation that she could relapse. Can't wait for more from the Soulless Bastards MC Maryland chapter.

I picked this up expecting a stereotypical motorcycle club romance. I got a book that made me laugh out loud, cry, and get angry. It was downright gut wrenching at times. I was not expecting to become so attached to Gauge or Dezzy as quickly as I did. I read it in one sitting and stayed up way too late because I couldn't stop reading. Now I'm kicking myself for finishing it in one sitting because I don't want it to end and I want more of their story. I rarely want more from characters when a book ends. This is a rare case where I want to know what happens to them a year after their story ends, then 5 years later, and then 10 years later. I hope we get to see more from both characters as the SBMC Maryland books develop. I am definitely looking forward to getting to know the rest of the Souless Bastards in future books.

This is a new start for the Maryland mc. Gauge's story is quite a harrowing one. Heavily entrenched in the seedy drug world. Dezzy can't see passed the errors in her youth that are still impacting on her adult life. Thrown back into the mc life, she clings to gauge not knowing his own darkness can't embrace her fully for she haunts his future, like his past still haunts him. It's a really sad tale, but I think it shows how people can overcome their struggles when they have the right support behind them. Tragic for dezzy, this story pulls at your heart for both characters. A great start to a new series and an amazing read.

Another new chapter in this author’s gripping and gritty continuing MC series!! I had an emotional connection to because I’ve watched family members go through the same thing that Dezzy does and win. My heart absolutely breaks for Dezzy because her father just wanted to give her the best and safest life possible when leaving her with her mother but that turned out to be the wrong move. Gauge has had a tragic past also so they bond over their tragedies. But like all addicts Dezzy struggle we’re staying clean and Gauge just can’t watch her spiral. But when she really needs him he is there but at what cost to himself? The connection between the two is undeniable but will it be enough?

Sometimes when I read a book from author Erin Trejo I wonder if these stories are real or fiction? You developed this deep connection to the characters that it'll come off as disturbing, they are flawed and damaged people with emotional baggage from left and right. Just because they're misunderstood that doesn't mean they don't want a connection with someone, love, just basic needs. Erin Trejo did an outstanding job with this new book and as always she surpassed my expectations, phenomenal read and a must read.

Oh my, the emotions you get pulled into in this story is real, heart break for Dezzy and her relationship with her parents, her Dad thought he was giving her a better and safer life, and sorrow for Gauge and the little boy he was thinking things happened because it was his fault. The chemistry they both have is phenomenal, can they both save each other?

I loved this addition to the Soulless Bastards and I can't wait to read more.

I received a copy and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion.

This is Gauge and Dezzy's story, the first in a new series. It is an intense read that will consume you. It's dark and gritty. This story is about finding yourself and overcoming things. It's about fighting addiction, those affected by it, and starting over. This is one that unfolds a much bigger story, one that'll have you turning the pages till the end. You'll be taken on a rollercoaster of a ride but it's definitely one of those reads that'll hit you in the feels and it'll leave you wanting more. Definitely recommend.

I must say this book is spectacular ! It is not an easy read at times. It is complex emotions and facing your demons. The characters have to face theirs and decide are they broken and to what degree. Can they overcome? On top of the usual workings and challenges of a MC. This book had me from the beginning! I could not put it down. The Maryland Chapter of the Soulless Bastards MC was so good. This is Gauge and Dezzy's story. Check it out. A must have!

Loved it!! This book starts is in a new chapter of the SBMC.
Gauge has had a rough life, but being in the SBMC has helped. Dezzy was pushed away by her dad, which led to her having a difficult time with her mom. Gauge is tasked with watching out for Dezzy after she comes home to the clubhouse. He watches her alright.
I already love this new chapter of the SBMC.

Pretty good.... hated the ending. I think that might be why I quit reading these.... between the short ending and not much more than a short story.

This is Gauge's and Dezzy's book. Gauge is the VP of SBMC and Dez father is the president. Dez and her Dad haven't been in touch for years....ever since her Mom took her away. After getting in some trouble she ends up staying at the clubhouse.....

Gauge has lost family due to some of the same issues as what Dez is having trouble with....he wants her but can he handle her?

This book is one that really hit home with me. It’s a dark love story, like all the Soulless Bastard books. However, it’s also a story of drug addition and overcoming that disease. It’s a story that will rip your heart out as you follow Dizzy’s story and all the highs and lows she has. Gauge is there for her most of the time, but like anyone who’s loved a drug addict, he has his moments of hopelessness and has to walk away. It was nice to see Dizzy get her HEA because after everything she’s been through, she deserves it more than anyone. This is one couple that will be with me for a long time. Great job Erin!!

Taking a step into a new chapter of the Soulless Bastards MC, Gauge is the VP in Maryland. He’s got a dark past and a huge chip on his shoulder. Dezzy is his presidents daughter and she’s got a dark past of her own. Can he save her without losing himself?! This book was so much more than I expected it to be. The struggles with addiction and the way it was portrayed were spot on. Erin never disappoints and reading this book hit me harder than any of the others I’ve read of hers. Another excellent read ⭐️♥️

Loved the story! Great characters, interesting story line with main characters and supporting characters. Love that she build interaction to open other characters to get their own books. The only thing that drove me a little crazy was the editing. There were a lot of mistakes. Use of the wrong words or word completely missing from the sentences. Oh, there were a lot of them. It is very distracting when your reading along an boom what just happened?

This story is heartbreaking and emotionally draining. It takes you to one extreme and drags you back to another. Better than 5 stars.
Dezzy is the daughter of Sly, the President of Soulless Bastards MC, Maryland Chapter. She's had such a sad, tumultuous life living with her mother.
Gauge, VP of Soulless Bastards MC, Maryland Chapter, having been through h*ll himself, he's not quite sure what to do with Dez. He wants her but doesn't think it's right because she's the Prez's daughter. Both of them are dealing with the same problem but in different ways and neither of them are sure they can overcome it. They have lots of problems along the way and have a long road ahead of them to find their HEA.

Oh My WORD .. . Erin never I mean never stops writing a brilliant MC book that is so true to the characters. This is a new series for the Soullessness Bastards based in Maryland yes the guys are rough and take no crap. But this book brings us deep in the world of drugs. Sly the prez will have his own book but we get a bit of him in this one... Not sure about him yet... He is tough to love at the moment the way he is with Dez his daughter for reasons of his own.. read and find out.. Gauge and Dez will have battles in this book by far to overcome deeply with drug addition and the fear of abandonment... Erin take us deep in the mins of the characters like she always does with these books. I feel she always leaves is wanting more. Pick this one up by far you will love it like I did.

Dezzy and Gauge are definitely going to give you their all. The tension and history will have you wanting more.

Their pasts and parents have shaped them and each carrying the boulder of their lives. I can't even begin to give you an idea of how intense the electricity is around them. I was worried a blackout was going to happen.

If you are a fan of characters who feel so low but are definitely the light to the others darkness than you have stepped into an unforgettable rollercoaster.

Erin has done it yet again. Beyond blown away. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

Gauge is a member of the Soulless Bastards MC in Maryland. Dezzy is the daughter of the President. They are both trying to overcome a tragic past. Right from the start they pull at all your heart strings. This was an emotional roller coaster, it shows both sides of being an addict and loving one has. This story may be my favorite one yet. The story pulls you in and doesn’t let go. I read this in one day and had to wait a few to gather my emotions to do the review. Thank you Erin for introducing us to this great couple.

Wow! Just wow! This book is amazing! Gauge’s story will hit close to home for a lot of people. Addiction, death and hopelessness prevail in Dezzy and Gauge’s lives. The past hasn’t been pleasant and the present doesn’t look too good. So why bother with a future? But when destinies collide, can love be enough to live for? This story is full of so many emotions! Loved it!!

Another great chapter of the Soulless Bastard MC and a great read by Ms. Trejo.
This story hits a lot of people right in their faces with the sub story of substance abuse and addiction.
Gauge is the poster boy for surviving a childhood of an addicted mother and sister. Dee, is a product of a MC president who pushed her away and a manipulative and addicted mother, who started using just to forget and to get her moms attention.
They both have demons and are coping the best way they can. Along the way they find a friendship and a love that can get them thur just about anything. It helps them survive in this mess up world both physically and mentally.
One hell of a ride.

Lots of emotion reading Gauge and Dezzy’s story. The inner battle Dezzy has with herself everyday is so complex and heartbreaking you just want to reach into the story and help her. But it’s true that you can’t help someone that doesn’t want to be helped. They have to want it for themselves. Gauge has lived through this before and refuses to do it again because he knows this one will drag him down and not let him back up. No matter how much he loves Dezzy...but maybe that’s what she needs to hear in order to turn herself around.
