This is one of my most favorite mangas! Like omg how did I ever live without this???!!Why was I sleeping on this author??? Why? WHY?! Someone come and dig my grave because I am going to die by waiting for the last volume to come out! The story line is so cute and I loved all the characters except Aya. Freaking AYA. I just can't seem to like that pushy, egotistical, longhaired skank. Yes, I called him a skank. Freaking sue me if you want but I just don't like him and you cannot change my mind about it. The character I do like however is Kyosuke! That guy is my soulmate! I need to find a real life Kyosuke or I might as well end up with nine cats in a lil cottage. I cannot wait until volume 14!!!!!!!Hurry it up you douche! The drawing style was pretty neat as well and I appreciated how all the characters looked very different.

My heart with this volume!! So much is happening! I am not ready to say goodbye to these characters. I'm glad we have 1 more volume left in the series. We get some closure with certain ships, and it made me REALLY HAPPY!!!

Diese Band ist richtig schön sweet. Aber eigentlich sollte der 13. Band der letzte der Reihe sein. Am Ende ist ein mega Cliffhanger. Die Mangaka Anashin schreibt sogar am Ende das es noch Bonus Band kommt.

ohhh it’s so cute. i really love this series. we get to see another couple happen in this volume and it’s cute, but not as cute and explosive as i was expecting—i know it’s about mitsuki and towa but it’s okay, other cute couples are welcome for a little spotlight!!

Going into this book I didn’t know it was pretty much the last book, but it is. It’s sad to see the characters journey end but exciting to see that the characters got what they wanted in the end. From beginning to end I was hooked and had so much fun reading this story. The characters continued to become even more enjoyable and I loved seeing all their connections together. Overall, a great volume and I look forward to the short stories in the next one.

“If I’m with Asakura Kun I think I can go anywhere”
This volume was really cute and wholesome. Of course aya had to ruin it in the end but we’ve been knew. Anyways, this volume focus on Mitsuki navigating the beginning of a new year. She wants to do a speech for the welcome party but she’s afraid and really scared. Towas birthday is coming up and Ryuji confessed his feelings to Nana chan but he got rejected. However, he’s really mature about it and he still goes to the café. Nana’s dad has an accident and he goes to the hospital to see him. In the end, nana confess her feelings towards Ryuji. She was afraid of the age gap and he’s still in HS and she’s older and she’s about to go abroad to study, is obviously it won’t be easy for them. In the end, Mitsuki wants to do something to get towas heart to beat faster like hers does. She goes to his friends asking for help and they decide to throw him a surprise birthday party but in the end, they all leave the two of them alone. Towa wanted to do that because he wants to be alone at night with her to show her one of his fave spots. It’s white day and he got her a bracelet and he was so nervous while picking it up. Tows didn’t know about some girls bullying Mitsuki and he found out from his classmates. He feels bad because he thinks Mitsuki would’ve told aya about it and he would’ve done something and he was unable to notice it. He feels jealous and he’s not used to it but Mitsuki feels that way as well. They go to a spot to see the starts and they spend the night together and it was really cute. Later on, Mitsuki is practicing in front of Reina and some girls get their hands on her notebook. Reina is embarrassed because she wrote her fantasies about the basketball team in there and they know about it. She gets mad and tells them to leave Mitsuki and towa alone because that’s her hobby and her fantasies and they have nothing to do with it. Reina is really sad and Mitsuki is upset because she didn’t say a word and she should’ve defend Reina after that incident. She thinks her speech next day might help the other girls realize that she’s a good girl but towa thinks he shouldn’t care. That speech is for the new students not for the second years and Mitsuki worked on it for a really long time. She has a new idea but she needs towas help. The next day she’s on stage and Reina believes she forgot her papers but she has a new speech in mind. She was alone in junior high and she went to a new HS to start fresh but she realized that you have to put yourself out there to do stuff and to meet people. To work with them towards the same goal and to make friends. She met Reina, the basketball team and a lot of new classmates. During her second year she got separated from towa and Reina and now they are in different classes but it’s okay. The volume ends with the summer fireworks. Nana is back to spend the summer with Ryuji before going back abroad for another 6 months. Kyosuke is with a new girl (potentially his old friend) and Riu is sad because he’s single and alone with the new guy. Maybe his lover is closer than he thought (?).
Aya is back for summer. He talked with Mitsuki over the phone about her speech and now he wants to see the game to see if they can beat Hojo finally. Mitsuki doesn’t know that he’s there and it will be a surprise for later.
I have to admit that this was a filler volume to say goodbye to the characters. I still have one volume left to finish the series but this feels bittersweet already. I wish we could’ve seen more of Reina and Mitsukis friendship and more moments between the basketball team and less of aya. Mitsuki and towa were really cute in this volume but I didn’t like the whole aya would’ve known and I need to make his heart feel faster because that’s how Ryuji and nana feel when they are together. However, it was a cute volume and I’m not ready to end this series and say goodbye

a re-read, once again, after almost 3 years!!
this was and still is, a very cute, adorable, very innocent school-life romance. It's sort of fresh, in a way, that it only spans through the first year in high school. no big time skips, but just normal, first love scenario, pure, innocent love.
towa asakura was and still a very special character. to me. idk, i just like him so much.
about the story, it was cute. aya was kinda,, too touchy to my liking because it oozes from the pages. i get that he's more mature due to being in the states for a long time, and basically didn't really have a good time and of course, his feelings to the main girl (Mitsuki) are certainly strong. but that doesn't excuse the amount of non-consent contact (forehead kisses, cheek kisses, hugs, and so on) that basically was there for shock-effect, it just didn't do it to me anymore ig. for ryuuji and his relationship with nana, i like ... it? actually, it wasn't bad or anything like that, but i just realized, bruh, they are still 16-17 years old. nana is probably almost 25 at least, considering she graduated uni already. age is just a number, yes, but still, he's underage. not cool. again, a point that i didn't realised on my first read years ago.
the ending was just ok, i liked it and i was satisfied. heard that there's a special volume after this, but god knows when i'll be able to pick that up HAHAHA but as for now, i think the story wrapped up nicely, and in the ending they're still in high school so, yeah.
(in my imagination, everybody is having fun and friendship and relationships still going strong)

Bref, « Waiting for Spring » fût une lecture addictive. Malgré le manque d’originalité dans le cheminement des événements et une évolution succincte des personnages, j’ai pris beaucoup de plaisir à partager la vie de Mitsuki, Towa et leurs amis. Je ne pense pas que je le relirai mais si je devais conseiller une romance de lycée récente à quelqu’un, il ferait probablement parti de la liste. Les dessins sont beaux et tout ce qui tourne autour du basket ajoute une réelle plus-value à l’histoire. C’est simple mais plutôt efficace. Les thèmes abordés ne vous donneront pas de nœuds au cerveau ni ne vous feront verser des torrents de larmes, cependant l’amour et l’amitié qui transpirent à travers ce mangas vous feront chaud au cœur et parfois, c’est tout ce qu’on demande !

Kann mich mal bitte einer kneifen? Was waren das denn für tolle (Charakter-)Entwicklungen in diesem Band? 😭 Angefangen bei Ryuji & Nana. Ich habe es so lange herbeigesehnt und bin einfach total happy darüber, dass sie zueinander gefunden haben. 🩵 Sie passen so gut zueinander, ahhh! Und dass Mitsuki über ihren Schatten gesprungen ist, war auch einfach herzallerliebst. Ich bin so stolz auf sie, ehrlich. Und die Ereignisse rund um Towas Geburtstag waren einfach Balsam für meine Seele. 🥹🩵
Nur noch ein Band to go. Ich möchte nicht Abschied nehmen müssen. 😭

Haru Matsu Bokura ha sido uno de mis descubrimientos este año. Un Shojo muy entretenido con una historia muy dulce. Adoro a todos los personajes y tengo muchas ganas de leer el próximo volumen, aunque la historia principal haya finalizado y solo vayamos a tener algunas historias extras de algunos personajes.
Enamorada estoy de este manga y espero que se haga alguna adaptación a anime en el futuro.

So this was the final volume, but also not the final volume? It felt really incomplete, but I guess volume 14 is going to make up for that with a bunch of short stories and an epilogue.
Idk if it's because it's been a while since I read the first 12 volumes or what, but this volume kind of fell flat to me? It was cute and funny, but also just meh.

So, we get to see Hojo Vs Seryo again. And we get birthdays! I miss the focus on friendshios, but Towa and Mitsuki are cute together.

I’m so happy I decided to randomly start this series, it was SO cute. All the characters were so cute and passionate and UGH I LOVED!! Honestly this was a really awesome read. I know some people debated between Aya-chan and Towa-chan, but I always stuck with Towa. He was gentle and yet saw Mitsuki for the person she was. He wasn’t needy, he wanted to love her. Also the fact that he was so selfless with her?? I think second he said “I want her to choose what will really make her happy” should have been enough for anyone on Aya-chan’s team.
Anyways I loved this one and it’s up there beside Ao Haru Ride & Daytime Shooting Star. It’s one of those sweet stories that makes you appreciate the privilege of loving others and having others love you back.

I'm not ready for this series to be over. There will be one more volume which will contain stories for the other characters and an epilogue for the main characters, but this was the final volume of the main story. While it is fitting that this is the end, and it was well done, I'm not ready to say goodbye to these characters.
The artwork for the series was great, it had a good plot and I liked how the characters grew over the course of the series. It was a well paced series and was enjoyable from beginning to end. The bonus chapters at the end of each volume were cute.
I am looking forward to reading the bonus stories, but I also just want this series to last for five more years, while at the same time I am happy it ended where it did and is a complete story without dragging out too much.

This was a really great conclusion to the series. At first, I was disappointed that the series was ending so soon but I am glad that Anashin has chosen to end it where it is rather than dragging it on like some other shoujo I've read. Really looking forward to Volume 14!
