The town is buzzing with excitement over its annual garden show, and Bailey Bliss is no exception. For most it's a pleasant, idyllic festival. The winner doesn’t receive anything more than a small prize and bragging rights, but that doesn’t stop this year's competitors from fighting tooth and nail. With tensions running high, Bailey is afraid this friendly competition might get dirty... or deadly.
This is the second book in the Paranormal Party Planner series. It is a full-length, humorous paranormal cozy mystery novel
Misty Bane is the author of Paranormal Cozy Mysteries filled with witches, shapeshifters, snarky ghosts, and a talking animal or two.
Misty is a Pacific Northwest native currently living between the mountains and the beach with her husband, three children, and golden retriever, Lou. She sometimes fantasizes about living in a world where she could clean the house and whip up a four-course meal with just a twirl of her finger.
This is another fun series by Misty that explores the world of an events planner and how it isn’t as easy as some people might think! Bailey is responsible for the Best in Grow garden show in which someone has sabotaged those gardens so she needs to find out who and stop them.
I recommend this book to young adults and older adults who are still young at heart and enjoy reading a cozy book that is enjoyable and heartwarming as well! There are some exciting scenes and action that will keep you turning the pages for sure because once you get into the book you will be hard pressed to put it down!
Be good to yourself and pick up this series and afterwords read Misty’s other series as well because she is a delightful author who will give you smiles, laughs, romance and yes tears as well. The stories are entertaining and well written and are sure to please you.
Bailey Bliss lives in and interesting little town called Dragon's Hallow and as a witch and event planner she would love if the annual Best in Grow went of without the drama that seems to follow her. And with all the colorful characters that seem to have stepped out of and Irish fairytale she has her hands full and wouldn't you know it but Bailey won't get a break with all the backstabbing going and the dirty cheaters what will happen next let's hope know one is pushing up daisy's.
And although I haven't had a chance to read the first book in the series I really enjoyed this one. I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book and this my honest review.
This second book in the series is every bit as good as the first one. Bailey Bliss runs the paranormal events that happen in Dragon's Hollow, so as such can't enter her beautiful garden in the annual best garden competition. The judges were all from out of town so that there should be no favouritism. Someone, however, is vandalising garden after garden. If Bailey and her werewolf friend can't find out who is doing this, the competition may be cancelled - and nobody wants this. Before it is finished, the story has murder, attempted murder, a little romance and a whole lot of magic - both good and bad.
Bailey Bliss is an event planner and this time it is for the best garden in town. The characters are very colorful in this book and I found the book kept me interested from the beginning to end. I enjoyed this second book much more than the first and I can't wait to see what she gets up to in the third book. The judges for the gardening event don't get along very well and the competitive nature between neighbors get to a high pitch. It was lots of fun!
This is an entertaining and fun mystery story about a missing gnome and a quirky journalist. I was immediately engaged by this story and Bob was such a perfectly delightful character. This fun nature really suited the style of this book. This is a new author to me and I enjoyed the mix of fantasy and mystery they wove through the book. It was a light hearted story for a mystery and that made me enjoy it all the more. This is a good start to a new series and I will be sure to read book 2.
This is the second book in a new storyline about a paranormal event planner. The characters are defined but have room to grow. The plot and subplots move quickly. There are a lot of editing errors. However, this book was better than the first and I look forward to see how the storyline develops.
I loved it! This book was fun, fast and magical! There is a lot of different type of paranormals, some I have never heard of before so I learned something new :) Good story, detective work, magical spells and a bit of love. It makes this book a number one hit in my list!
I received this book as part of an ARC team and this is my honest opinion.
I actually read this book but the title was for the first book in the series. I've not read the first book obviously but this second book was unique with characters loved. Misty Bane is one if my favorite authors in the cozy paranormal genre. Excellent!
I absolutely love this series! I read both of the books that are out so far in one day. Misty Bane has outdone herself with this series. I look forward to reading more books in this series.
Things get more complicated at every turn, between ancient mysteries, recent crimes and everything in between, Bailey and Derek have their work cut out for them.
I love this author and everything she writes. It’s always entertaining and you’re guaranteed a good mystery and many laughs. Bailey is a favorite for me. She is witty, smart and mature. I’d love to see some romance next book!
I loved the twists & turns this tale took. I’m hoping book 3 is out soon. I’ve now read all of Misty Bane’s books & hate to have to leave her & find another author to follow.
Very cute second book in this series, but disappointed I'll have to wait for book three. Would love a more robust description of Bannocks though! #teamderrek
This was a very interesting read and fun to get through with the characters to the storyline. I enjoyed where it took the reader and how it all came together in the end. Enjoy!
Mamie Hubbard has won Best in Grow for years now and many of the other townsfolk would not be sorry if her run of good luck stopped. But obviously someone was more convinced than that and was prepared to trash her garden to make sure. And while they were at it, stole all the roses in Bailey's garden and the peaches in the Murphy's garden whilst Mamie's dog, Bannock dug all the turnips up in Finn's garden. Which leaves not very many intact gardens to judge - surely that would make it easier to find the culprit? Not that simple!!
A fun and exciting read with many different strands to the story, which come together very cleverly at the end. I did enjoy this book and look forward to more from Misty.
