Fallen Angels

Adam Hardy's assignment was clear: Infiltrate the pseudo-biker gang Fallen Angels and bring back the dirt on their big boss, Lucifer. Nowhere in the mission statement did it tell him to fall for the local leader, Mammon, named after the fallen angel of greed. Marc, aka Mammon, thought that a quick dip would sate the lust he held for the newest Fallen Angel. After all, Adam would never be his now that Lucifer had taken an interest in the pretty boy. Was intent on making him a golden boy. Who knew sex and an unexpected bond of trust would bring Adam and Marc together while they tried to take Lucifer down and out of their lives forever? [Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, male/male sexual situations.]

Adam is an undercover agent in a group of hi-tech criminals, the Fallen Angels. The group is only a little piece of a great organization, involved in drug dealings and assassins, lead by a man known as Lucifer. Actually the Fallen Angels are almost an "innocent" group, made up of men from different origins, but with one thing in common: they don't have a family and their family has become the group.

The leader of the group is Marc, known as Mammon: he has a thing for Adam and he is highly displeased when his boss, Lucifer, wants to see the guy. Lucifer loves pretty boy, and Adam is quite his type, auburn hair and boyish look. But before handing him off to Lucifer, Marc wants to taste the pretty boy; pity that he soon discovers that the man is not who he pretends to be.

Adam is quite naivee to be an undercover agent: he falls for his main suspect, the only man who can lead him to Lucifer. Actually I don't think that Adam is a very good agent, he is too sentimental and open, he has not the cold blood he should have for the job. And also Marc, even if a bit too tough, all in all is a too good guy to be the villain of the story.

The romance in the story is good, almost sweet for a book with a suspence plot. The suspence part is easy and enjoyable, not very "manly": this is obviously a book which will please to a female audience, that to guns and fight, prefer kisses and cuddle.

Probably the author is thinking to write more on this group, since she decipts in details all the components, giving them interesting backgrounds and attractive looks.

LOVED this!! Short, but had suspense, romance, a couple falling in love for the first time, and I zipped through it in just a few hours.

I can't wait to read a sequel (if there is one), and will be shortly looking up other works by this author.

When Mammon escorts Adam to a remote cabin to meet up with Lucifer, the two men quickly discover an intense attraction and emotional connection. Mammon reveals his real name to Adam, something that only two other people in the world know. They are taken by surprise at the intensity of their emotions and what they are willing to do for one another. Marc comes to realize that he cannot turn Adam over to Lucifer, not when he knows what is in store for the prospective golden boy. Instead, they devise a plan to fulfill Adam’s assignment and free Marc from Lucifer forever.

Unfortunately, nothing goes quite as planned. When Adam must perform a sexual act in order to keep Lucifer occupied while Marc gathers information, their burgeoning relationship suffers a serious setback. Although Marc and Adam escape along with Toni, Marc’s younger sister, they are not free of Lucifer or the Agency, which placed Adam in his current assignment. They struggle to formulate a plan that will protect all of the Fallen Angels from prosecution by the government and retribution from Lucifer’s teams. Marc is willing to do anything to keep his family and friends safe, even subject himself to the pain and torture of his past that he has fought so hard to distance himself from.

This story involves a string of deceptions and how different characters are affected by them. Adam is an undercover agent that has infiltrated and deceived the Fallen Angels. Along with hiding his true identity, he is also attempting to mask his attraction to their leader Mammon. Marc is emotionally devastated when he discovers he was mistaken thinking being gay was Adam’s only secret. Lucifer is a walking contradiction, as the image he presents is far from the actual truth of his violent and cruel nature. Even the Agency has a hidden agenda, of which even Adam is unaware.

Marc and Adam struggle throughout the story to rebuild their relationship and determine if what they are feeling can survive long term. The scenes between the lovers are highly erotic and emotional and their bond is so strong it cannot be ignored. In their pairings, Marc takes a dominant and aggressive role during sex, which plays right into Adam’s desires, but also displays a touching tenderness and caring toward his new lover. Their passionate emotions are a constant driver throughout the story.

From the moment I started reading Fallen Angels I could not put it down. The characters are well-written and grab your full attention. The reader is taken on an emotional roller coaster with the characters, as they struggle to save themselves from the clutches of both Lucifer and the Agency. The secondary characters are just as intriguing, especially Toni who is feisty and adds a bit of humor. I loved how the story switches from Adam’s point of view to that of Marc between chapters. The ability to fully experience the emotions of each character as the story progresses heightens the reader’s emotional investment in the story. This is an amazing read that I cannot recommend more highly!

Good idea, but the execution wasn't up to par. Everything happens too quickly, too easily to be even a bit credible. Despite the dire situation the characters find themselves in, the story lacked real tension, that need to know what's going to happen. Personally, I also failed to get an emotional connection to the characters. And for a supposed strategist, Adam's plans had some serious flaws.
I really wanted to like it, but it disappointed me.

A very entertaining read. Interesting characters, fun plot and hot sex.

I hope the author writes about the other characters - this would make a good series.
