This is such a beautiful and easy to read devotional! It covers 100 days and each day is only a couple pages long. I have read Sadie's other books and while I don't follow many "famous" individuals, I have enjoyed following her life from her youth in Duck Dynasty, to growing up and getting married and having her sweet daughter. In a world filled with craziness and turmoil, Sadie seeks to use her platform to bring God's goodness and love and I really admire that! She is such a positive and motivating person. I really benefitted from reading her other books and found that this book was also very nourishing to my soul. Each day focuses on developing your relationship with God, understanding your true purpose, sharing that love of God and growing closer and a deeper love for others. Her words motivate the reader to trust in God and have faith and follow the promptings to make a difference. This book is a great devotional for all ages, but would especially be helpful for teenage or young adults. She uses multiple scriptures for each day and builds upon it with her own motivating words. Sadie is such a light and I'm so excited she has published another book! This is a must read for sure!!
I LOVE devotionals! They help me get into Bible Reading mode and help me dig deeper into many biblical truths and lessons. This book, Live On Purpose: 100 Devotions for Letting Go of Fear and Following God by @legitsadierob @thomasnelson was so good! I really liked how Sadie tackles many subjects girls struggle with on a daily basis with so much grace and wisdom. These devos point you to the Bible and remind you of who you are in Christ and who you were created to be. Truly a beautiful book with bite sized daily readings- the perfect size to complement with your quite time or daily Bible reading 😉
Sadie Roberson is such an inspiration, especially for teens and young women. I know she has been for me. You can tell that her faith is the most important to her. That’s inspiring. After reading her book LIVE, I knew I wanted to read the devotional as well.
This devotional is great for anyone although it’s especially good for teen girls. There’s so much truth in it that teens need to hear. Sadie covers many topics, all relevant.
I love how Sadie puts faith into perspective. She reminded me that I don’t have to be perfect to be used by God. I think that’s something we all need to be reminded of.
She talks about Bible stories and gives me a different perspective on the story and the people in the Bible. She points out things I never noticed before and prompts me to think about them in ways I hadn’t thought to before. For me, that’s exciting. It makes me want to go back and dig deeper into my Bible.
This devotional is a great one, not only for teen girls but everyone. I definitely recommend!

I am a sucker for a good devotional and I really enjoyed reading my first Sadie Robertson Huff book as well. It was very inspirational and packed a punch. This is definitely geared towards younger women, but as a woman in her thirties I really enjoyed her messaging and prayers. I started every morning reading a devotion and it was an excellent way to start my day! I was very sad when I finished up my 100th devotional today and the book was over. I am saving this and will read it again in a year or two. Excellent content and a wonderful start to every day!
This is my first Sadie book and I am ready for her to snatch my coins. Live on purpose is a 100-day devotional that begins with a catchy title, verse, and then devotion. Yep, the devotion is spread through a few pages. It's relatable, written simplicity and so relevant for our times. This devotion makes the perfect gift for anyone really but would especially be helpful for teenagers or young adults. The devotional focused mostly on cultivating your relationship with God, understanding your purpose, and sharing the good news. Thank you Thomas Nelson for my e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this devotional. Although it’s geared towards more of a young adult/college age audience, it was quite enjoyable and I enjoyed Sadie’s humor and insight….
“Make sure any sign agrees with God’s Word, then talk to trusted mentors and keep on praying. I’ve found that we tend to overcomplicate who God is and how He speaks. Remember that His love is uncomplicated. If it’s truly a message from God, He’ll make it clear.”(page 17)
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
I wasn't able to finish it, I honestly just lost interest. Sadie Robertson Huff always has a great message in her books, so that definitely wasn't the problem- her books are all geared towards teens, and I've been able to get a lot out of them anyway, but this one just seemed a little elementary. Which is perfect for 13-18 year olds since it's simple easy concepts/devotions, but I'm just past it I guess. :) And that's okay! I still would recommend it for others!
Loved making this a part of my mornings. Such a great message and prayer to start my day. Highly recommend for a short, yet relatable collection of devotionals. ❤️
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for providing me with a digital arc of this book.
Live on purpose is a book including devotions on life and happiness.
This book was not at all what I expected. I requested this story on a whim after reading the premise and researching the author. Sadly this book wasn't for me. Which in no way means that this book wasn't good or well-written, I just couldn't get into it. The chapters were super short, which I normally prefer, but these were too short to really delve into them. Myself being religious, I somehow still couldn't get behind on the author's opinions. The book wasn't as open to people who aren't Christians as I would have preferred, so it kept triggering me, which then resulted in me feeling put off by the book. Nevertheless, I think there will be a lot of people, who will cherish this book for what it is.
"Holy Lord Jesus, thank you for loving me, even with all my mistakes, with all my imperfections and problems. Thank you, Amen."
Do you want a positive, uplifting role model who will point your girls to God? Sadie Robertson Huff is an excellent voice for her generation. Her new devotional, Live on Purpose, is packed with meaningful devotionals to inspire teens and young adults! The devotionals will encourage your girls to reach new depths of faith as they discover how to live life fearlessly, rely on God, and not look to the world for their worth. She tackles many subjects that girls struggle with daily and offers practical tools with grace and wisdom. I definitely found myself wishing there were more than 100 devotionals because I couldn’t put it down. I highly recommend this devotional, and it makes the perfect addition to any girl’s study of the Bible.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
What are you living for? What fears and lies are shaping your life? Every generation needs some strong voices, people willing to counteract the lies thrown at teens every day with truth, and Sadie Robertson Huff is one of those people.
Sadie's heart and passion for encouraging others is shown on every page of this devotional. While normally I don't like devotionals with short passages like this one (each is only two pages long, and the pages are pretty small), I honestly loved Sadie's words, no matter the short length.
Sometimes I don't like teen devos because the author is, many times, way past the teen age and tries to connect with their younger readers by using hip teen words and "relatable" stories that really just sound cheesy. Sadie is none of these things, and her words just feel authentic and engaging.
The cute devo size and impactful writing inside makes this a great gift for teens and young adults.

For anyone looking for a new devotional, I highly recommend Live on Purpose! With scripturally sound advice in every devotional, this is the perfect book for anyone working towards living out their God-given purpose. I especially think girls in their teens and 20’s would love this one! Sadie Robertson writes in such a way that is fun, authentic, and relatable. It really feels like you’re talking to a friend while reading this one. Each devotional is short, but each one also has such inspiring and encouraging nuggets of truth. This book works perfectly as a 1-a day, daily devotional or one could easily read it through as a regular book.
Sadie Robertson Huff has done it again! Anyone already familiar with her work need to read Live on Purpose, it is, in my opinion, her best. If you are unfamiliar with the author this is the best place to start!
Live on purpose is a 100-day devotional that begins with verse followed by the devotional. Each of the devotionals span a few pages in length and are written simply, and elegantly, making this book impossible not to love and a must have for any shelf.
Highly recommended! Live on Purpose is a perfect collection that could not be more relevant than it is today.
Thank you so much to netgalley and publisher for providing an e-copy in exchange for my honest opinion. I am proud to spread the word about Live on Purpose and I hope you do the same!
Do you like devotionals? I do, and I've got a great one to share. In 100 Devotions for Letting Go of Fear, Sadie reminds readers that they aren't perfect, and that's ok. But we can strive to be like Jesus in spite of our shortcomings. You can see her heart in each and every devotion in this book. Some devotions seem to be too fake to me. Almost like the author is just writing about all these unattainable traits. Not so here - Sadie keeps it real and I am here for it. ⠀ ⠀ This devotional isn't just for teens, or even young adults. It's for Christians of all ages. I'm **cough** ___ years old and I found each day's devotion easy to connect with. The short prayers at the end are good reminders of what we should be asking God throughout our days. I don't know about you, but I struggle with fear in many areas of my life. These devotions were just what I needed. And you might need them too! ⠀
I received a complimentary copy of this book. I was not required to write a favorable review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
If you have ever seen Duck Dynasty, you will know who Sadie Robinson Huff is. But she is much more then the person you have seen on TV. She is a woman with a deep faith and love for God and she can not contain it. She is passionate about sharing her faith and helping others grow in theirs. In her new book, Live In Purpose: 100 Devotions For Letting Go Fear and Following God, she shares small stories and insights on verses that have helped her in applying what the Bible teaches of letting go and letting God. This devotion is writing in a relatable way to the every day struggles that teens can face. The headlines are catchy and grab your attention. Even the simplest one verse passage is shown to have a very impactful meaning on Sadie and she shares how it has helped her. This devotional is uplifting and offers a way to read the Bible to help strength your faith and release the fear.
Thank you to Just Read Tours, I received copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
One of my most favorite devotionals. I will be reading it again. It was so relatable and always could relate to something that was going on in my life. I just adore her! I wish she had another devotional! Now I need to read her other books! Some devotionals are hard to follow but not this one! I can’t recommend it enough!
Loved loved loved this book. These devotionals would continuously be where God spoke to me daily, I read these pages in the ups and downs and you can tell so much Godly wisdom was poured about by Him onto Sadie bc I love her writing and speaking!! Bookmarked this one a lot so I would def recommend :)
I like listening to Sadie's podcast and I really wanted to read one of her book. This devotional is great, encouraging it pushes you to live a life focused on God, not on our fears, limitations or what people think of us to do what he calls us to do.
Sadie Robertson has been such an inspiration to me and I'm sure so many other women. I love her books, podcasts, videos, and all of the other amazing things that she shares. This was the first devotional that I've ever read and I really enjoyed it. I love how Sadie started every "chapter/day" with a bible verse and ended with a prayer. That was really cool to me because not only did she do that, but in the middle of those things she shared her own stories, testimonies, and explained the bible verse. The advice and wisdom that she shares is very valuable. Although I feel as though things got pretty repetitive after awhile, it was still good to hear either way. At times, I did get a bit bored with what she was saying, just because there wasn't a plot. With that being said, I still really recommend this book to anyone in need of advice, who is trying to grow their faith, or who wants to learn more about their life's purpose. 4/5 :)
This was soo beautiful. Sadie’s an INSPIRATION. I have had a tough relationship with God but this has helped a ton. Great for teens or anyone trying to grow there love with God.
Great book. It does re-cycle a lot of material from her other books and her podcast (WHOA That’s Good), but I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing.
It’s a great place to start if you’ve never read anything by Sadie, and so encouraging! I feel uplifted, hopeful and excited about what is to come in my life. I highlighted a bunch, and I’m planning on re-reading it soon, hopefully with a different perspective on my God-given purpose.
Sadie Robertson Huff's new book, Live on Purpose: 100 Devotions for Letting Go of Fear and Following God does for the reader just what its title describes. Sadie's reason for writing seems clear in the book: to help readers to know God; know that He is good; and that He is inviting everyone into relationship and adventure with Him, where He will reveal the purposes and callings for each one, to each one.
Sadie's words are so timely for teens and young women (and, I'd say, even for older ones), in a world where "likes" and "follows" raise and dash hearts and expectations, and even affect our own thoughts and beliefs about ourselves. How wonderful to hear a voice that states the opposite of what social media tells us; that our value comes from God, who created us lovingly for a purpose, and is completely separate from popularity online.
Devotion by devotion, Sadie uses Scripture, Bible stories, and moments from her own life to point to the God who made us and loves us. She uses these also to reveal who God is, how He might be working in our lives, and the joy of walking with Him as He unfolds His plans for us.
Live on Purpose is a devotional book geared towards teens and young adults. There are 100 short encouraging devotions. My teenage daughter is currently working her way through this book. Each day she reads one entry to start her day off focused on Biblical truth. Every devotional has a theme, Bible verse, a personal message, and ends with a short prayer. Her messages are about overcoming fear and living with purpose. It’s not a deep Bible study, but a sweet daily read to point you to Christ and help grow in your faith. It is a beautiful hardback with a ribbon bookmark to keep your place. This would make a great gift especially for teenage girls. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
It has been several decades since I was in the targeted age group for this devotional. As an adult, I have worked with junior high/middle school and high school students as a youth group leader, Sunday School teacher, supervisor of high school aides in my classroom, and as an paraprofessional at a high school. As an adult who is interested in the spiritual, mental, and emotional development for this age group, I jumped at the chance to review this book.
I was not disappointed!
This book is beautifully-packaged and will appeal to male and female readers with its black and blue type and unadorned pages of devotions.
Each devotion includes a short title, a Bible verse, message of several paragraphs from the author, and a two to four sentence prayer which applies to the Bible verse and the lesson for the devotion.
Many of the devotions regard peer pressure. Specifically, the negativity that one must navigate through on social media. Even though I did not grow up with social media when I was this age, I can see the pitfalls of this method of communicating.
The author encourages readers to not compare themselves to others in the areas of appearance, wealth, etc. She reassures them that God created them in His image with a plan for their lives. Then she provides examples of how readers can accomplish these goals by focusing instead on God and His purpose and path for their lives.
The author's feeling tone is warm, welcoming, positive, supportive, and encouraging. I believe young readers will respond positively to her youthful writing style.
If I could sum up the message of this book as I see it, I would quote the final sentence from Devotion 25, 'Cool and Confident':
"Be cool and confident in who God has created you to be, and live the life God has called you to live." Sadie Robertson Huff, author, page 55
I highly recommend this book for readers ages 13 to 16, families, church libraries, Sunday School/youth group leaders, and for older adults who want to get in touch with their younger selves.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher through JustRead Publicity Tours. All of my opinions and thoughts shared here are solely my own.
Simple and succinct That's how I'll describe this devotional. I liked how saddie pointed out God's Word and truth...the simple way she showed God's light without overwhelming theology but with a sureness in the Truth It's a perfect everyday devotional, every chapter is short and contains the perfect bit of content to go with everyday Every chapter contains a focus point a verse to meditate on and a small prayer to follow up with It's also perfect for new belivers and ppl who are just getting to know God, even a person growing up in church and praying I find this book useful..sometimes we forget the simple truths and I believe it's simply God's Word that with lead us all.
Recommended!

Live on Purpose: 100 Devotions for Letting Go of Fear and Following God by Sadie Robertson Huff is an accessible devotional book for teens and young adults beginning to navigate the path of adulthood and discovering their specific purposes in life. While I haven't closely kept up with Huff, she has grown from a teenager on reality show Duck Dynasty to a 20-something author, speaker, influencer, and most recently wife and mother.
In this book, Huff writes with an authentic voice to her peers and teens regarding topics and situations that are relevant to young adult Christians. The devotions themselves are formatted in a clean, contemporary design and contain a Bible verse or brief passage, two page devotion, and a short prayer that focuses on the topic. I look forward to reading more from Huff and will be checking out her earlier books soon!
