Moore Family #2

Expecting Moore

Rate this book
Happily ever after. That isn’t too much to ask for, is it? Broken hearted, I was looking for a fresh start, I found myself in Tral Lake.

Robbie Moore, well, let’s just say—he’s intense. So tall, so big, those tattoos, that damn leather jacket—oh, did I forget to mention he's my new boss? Robbie is everything I shouldn’t want. Just another mistake waiting to happen.

After a crazy night and one too many shots of tequila, I forget all the reasons he is bad for me and throw caution to the wind. I know it can’t happen again—but it appears I left that morning with more than a terrible hangover and a good time. Can I let down my guard and risk that Robbie won’t obliterate my already broken heart, which is being held together by hope and duct tape?

Expecting Moore is a full-length romance complete with HEA, no cliffhanger, and no cheating. Note: this story is not suitable for persons under the age of 18. Potential triggers lie within this book.

Expecting Moore • Moore Family Series Book 2
*ARC Review*

@frankiepageauthor

I fell in love with this family in book 1 so I’ve been impatiently waiting for the next installment. I absolutely devoured Robbie & Cassie’s story! They are both recovering from broken pasts & have no desire to find love again- until they meet each other.

Their story is explosive, sweet, romantic, fun, heartbreaking, and heartwarming. The plethora of emotions I experienced gave me whiplash, but it made the story that much more consuming— I seriously couldn’t put it down.

Now I’m dying for book 3! I have a feeling I know who the next Moore brother is fall for… 😉

Cassie is looking for a fresh start. Her old college roommate Tilly has a brother, Robbie, who needs help in his auto shop. So she picks up and moves a couple of hours away to help. One drunken night out finally breaks Robbie's composure and they sleep together. What could go wrong when you're sleeping with your boss and best friend's brother?

When he was pushing her away I was angry. Just because one person screwed you over doesn't mean everyone else will. He just doesn't understand that right now. Their sexual tension is electrifying. It's awesome how Cassie can drink more than the guys. Just because she's tiny doesn't mean she can't hold her own. I was clapping when Robbie suddenly couldn't hold back anymore. It's so sad that she can't handle everything going on. This was a wild ride.

Robbie owns a garage and he is trying to trudge through the paperwork when he sees a work order missing charges. He is so pissed that Mack is giving discounts to get girls to go out with him. Despite the snow storm his pregnant sister comes in and runs him away from the paperwork before he does too much damage. He hates it, but he has to hire someone to help in the office. Not only has his sister taken over the bookstore from their dad, but after her twins are born she's going to have even more on her plate.

Cassie found herself back living with her parents and working in her mom's flower shop until she can find another job. The last thing she wanted to be doing right now was making flower arrangements for a bridal shower. She's had all the wedding planning she can take for a while. When she hears that her college roommate is looking for someone to take over the books for her brother's shop she give her a call. It's hard to heal when everything around you brings back painful memories. She needs to get out of town.

I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters will keep you laughing. It is hilarious what these guys will find to bet on. Cassie and Robbie both have horrible past experiences that they have to overcome and trust issues that seemed to be insurmountable, but their sexual attraction can't be denied.

The storyline kept my interest and the interactions between all the different family dynamics was interesting. I absolutely loved Jake...and Killian.... I have another author to add to my favorites and look forwardto 4eading more books by Frankie Page.

I loved this book! Can I just say Frankie Page is so great at developing these characters. The way this family interacts is just perfection! Yes they might get mad and throw punches but they are there for each other through and through. Super swoon worthy!

We have another unexpected pregnancy - which I was a little surprised given the first book also had that, but the circumstances were different. The way Robbie handles the news - god, how could you not love him? Aside from the standoffishness about his feelings, which he more than makes up for in the end was just great!

Can I also say that Frankie writes steamy scenes completely full of steam. She also makes sure there is plenty of chemistry between the characters.

All in all, I loved this book and am super excited to have the third book in the series come out. I love this family and want to watch their story continue.

Frankie does it again!

It just seamlessly fitted in next to the first book. Absolutely loved the storyline with Cass & Robbie. They each had emotional baggage but the love they had for each other was real sweet & steamy 🥰🔥😍😘

Jake and Cassie’s relationship was brilliant, I really loved their bond! All the other characters each had a great role within the book too. We really get a feel for everyone and where they’re at with their lives. Especially loved Cassie’s brothers though. OMG 🤩 I adored Cain!

All the feels 🥰
Great little funny moments sprinkled in as well.

I really can’t wait to read more from this now expanding family and great group of friends! Will be (un)patiently waiting for the next one now! Who’s story will be in book 3? 💜

I loved Robbie and Cass’ story! I was itching for Robbie’s story since book 1, something about the big lug really resonated with me. Robbie has this feeling like he’s carrying around the weight of the world and needed someone to take him out of that funk. Cassie is an old friend of Robbie’s sister, Tilly, and she needed a hard reset on her life. She got screwed over pretty bad by her former fiancé and it’s left a mark. These two couldn’t seem to resist each other despite the fact that neither wanted a relationship at that time. Their chemistry was refreshing and organic. I really loved Jake and Cassie’s friendship, they were adorable. I can’t wait for Jake’s story!!

This is my first Frankie Page novel and I quickly fell in love with her style and with the Moore family!

I love a good surprise pregnancy story and Expecting Moore did not disappoint. Both Cassie and Robbie came with some serious baggage that needed to be unpacked in order to get to that HEA. Their backgrounds were realistic and didn't feel stretched. I was emotionally connected and invested in their outcomes from the very start of the story.

I loved the side characters, the flow and development of the story timeline, and it had my heart beating a little faster and a smile on my face throughout.

I am looking forward to the rest of the series!

Definite must read

This was the first book I read in the Moore series but I am hooked..Now I have to go and read the first book so I Can get Tilly and Jax's story.
Robbie and Cassie's story was so amazing. Both were struggling from a past crippling relationship that impacted them more than either wanted to talk about. One night of alcohol allowed them to lower their guard and spend an amazing night together that ended a life binding event. From this encounter they slowly struggled with building a relationship together as well as struggling with family issues . I hated for this book to end and I want more of their story. Can I say how much I love Jake though.... Ahhhh

I love Robbie and Cass! Both of them were left broken hearted and a bit jaded by their ex's. I loved Robbie in Forever Moore and I was really excited to read his story. He was the brooding type and I needed to know why he was not as fun loving as the rest of his siblings, there had to be a great backstory there and yep I was right! Cass's brothers were great, I definitely want to see more of them in the future. This book had some of my favorite tropes- oopsie baby, over protective sibling, office romance! The more I read in this series the more I love Jake. He is the best! I can not wait to read his story!!!!

What a wonderfully charming small town read. I love how Cassandra and Robbie balance each other out, where Cassandra is self-concise, Robbie makes up for it with his alpha no BS attitude. I also appreciate how their tale explores mental health and how important it is to take care of it.
The whole Moore series is filled with family fun especially their fun competitions throughout. The heartfelt love and dedication these siblings have for one another is exactly why I love this series! Plus the author's humor and steam ;-)

I enjoyed the first book in this series, but there was always something dark and moody about Robbie that made me pay attention to him. This story explains him well and makes me love him even more. This is the second book in the series and just even the writing itself has stepped up it's game.

Frankie did a great job of introducing new characters but keeping older characters involved, makes you crave more of the series. Two new characters are introduced and I need their story! And I want to hang at the family bar! Must read!!

Ummmmmm, plot twist! I am so excited for the release of this book! Frankie really stepped up her game for book two in this series! I am obsessed with these characters and their little town! Cassie & Robbie are great for each other and absolutely adorable! I love how the twists and turns develop and are revealed! I'm very anti spoiler so that's all I'm going to say, but I just loved this! The sneak peak into book three also has me SO excited for what there is to come!

Loved this story! These two are perfect for each other. I enjoyed how they peeled each others layers bit by bit. I'm a little upset that there is no gender reveal, however! Talk about a cliffhanger!!

I totally loved Cass. I identified with, having suffered from anxiety and panic attacks myself. Not often do I come across a character who I can identify with.

New to me author

Even though this is book 2, it can be read as a standalone.

I really enjoyed watching these characters come to life. After the things they went through in the past they certainly found their person. Hot for each and for the most part talked to each other, eventually, when something was wrong, which was a refreshing change.

This was a nice read. Full of passion.

I love how Robbie is actually insecure, reading between the lines. It’s clear that Bianca knocked his confidence.

It’s also one of the first times I’ve come across a author that offers insight into the past of their lives.

Robbie Moore cares about his family and his work. Strangers? Stay out! But when Cassie is there to help him with paperwork to replace Tilly things go not the way they are supposed to.

Cassandra needs a fresh start away from her hometown for different reasons. So she accepts Tilly offer and comes to Tral lake. With the mind to it all the other way than before.

Robbie needs help in his office, but he refuses to hand this part to a stranger, even if it is someone his sister know well.

After a very hard start and difficult encounters Robbie and Cassie get to know each others more than expected. And suddenly their world is turned upside down in many directions. But where Robbie begins to question his past, Cassie stumbles from being overwhelmed to panic and shame. But the lack of talk drawn both apart. And then there are the family issues and new friendships. Can everything work out in the end?

I liked Robbie und Cassie, both with tragic former relationships, that made them the way they are. Shame, fear and closed off to other people it is hard to move on. Where Cassie has to take steps back at some points in her feelings, robbie has to come out of his shell. The way that this happens is heartwarming and sad in equal shares. And you get to know Jake a little bit better in this book, so that I can't wait for his book to arrive next.

A very fluidly and sensitive written story with the right amount of steam and feelings.

Moore family members are the characters you want in your life, they are smart and loyal. When I met Robbie Moore in the first book, he seemed a very tough nut serious and all. In the book, we get to see about him and Cassie, even their names rhyme which makes it more fun. They both are somewhat the same but with different circumstances. All the other characters coming and overlaying in the second book as the first one never ended was the best part. The plot of the story kept me hooked and let me tell you it’s a very emotional journey for both the characters. Emotions are too high and love is inevitable it seems. I just love it. After finishing the book I realised how apt the title is, just in sync with the story.

Oh Robbie

I absolutely loved Robbie!! He's the grumpy big brother who got his heart broken so his guard is up. Once he let his guard down he is actually really sweet. I love his grit and his tough exterior. Cassie is sweet and tried to be tough but she is like mush. Falls easily even when she tries not too. I wish she would've been a stronger heroine and stuck to her goals of working on herself just a little bit. I guess once you meet a Moore's man you just kind of give up to their charm. I definitely didn't predict anything that happened which I loved. Another great book by Frankie!!

I absolutely adored grumpy Robbie and super sweet Cassie. Their whirlwind love story was funny, heartwarming, entertaining and sexy. I was instantly hooked on these two and could not get enough of them. They had me laughing out loud a lot, crossing my fingers that things would work out for them and absolutely gushing with love when ever they were together. Their chemistry was undeniable, intense and so freaking explosive that it just oozed off the pages. I needed Robbie and Cassie to work as they were just so perfect for each other.

I loved everything about this story and I can’t wait for the next Moore brother to find his happy ever after.

So happy to be back with the Moore family! This book flowed so perfectly from the first and where as Robbie didn’t really leave much of a lasting impression on me in Jax + Tilly’s book, I really enjoyed his & Cassie’s story in this one! He’s the grumpy older brother who is the epitome of once bitten, twice shy. Cassie is a sweetheart with some similar trust issues as Robbie, but they both find it hard to not give into their undeniable chemistry. There’s plenty of twists and drama, but ultimately Robbie and Cassie find their HEA. Totally can’t wait to continue with the Moore Family in Jake’s book FINALLY.

This is Robbie and Cassie's story and book 2. You definitely need to read the first book to get the Moore family dynamic plus we get updates from Tilly and Jax. Although they do t talk much about Robbie in the first book he is the older brother that is grumpy and the owner of the mechanic shop. Cassie knows fully from college and she co ex down to have a fresh start after a bad relationship. Some twist and the s and definitely not a fan of Cassie's family but interested to hear more about her brother because of the ending. Such a hood small town love book.

I love this series so far. I love series that follow the same characters but focuses on someone new each time. Robbie and Cassie's story is truly about healing from broken pasts and watching them grow together as people was really beautiful. This book, like all of Frankie Page's books are steamy, have amazing characters, and are filled with beauty and love.

This book is more about Robbie and Cassie, two similar but very different people. Robbie is grumpy while Cassie is very sweet but they are both smart and loyal. The plot of this book will keep you on your toes. The love story in this book is spicy, funny and heartwarming; it’ll have you chuckling and smiling. I definitely enjoyed this second book and I cannot wait to read more in the next book!
