She’s oblivious...
Isolde Collins has lived her life inhaling old rom-com movies and dreaming the perfect guy’s out there. She just has to find him. In the meantime, she’s chasing her dream of becoming an advertising power mogul, even if her father—who’s also her boss—doesn’t think a female is capable.

He has secrets...
Leo Bennett has been in love with his best friend, Izzy, pretty much their entire lives. She doesn’t know and he never plans to tell her. Why screw everything up? In the meantime, he’s too old to hang on to his virginity waiting for Izzy to wake up and see him. Oh, and he probably should stop following her dreams and find some of his own.

Things heat up...
As these two best friends hit the snowy slopes of Colorado, they find they’re living a life like they see in the movies. It’s just that maybe Leo’s the hero and not the sidekick they both always assumed him to be.

This review is going to start with a bit of personal nostalgia. Way back in 2012 I picked up a book that I honestly intended to just read through the prologue to get a taste of the then new-to-me writer’s style. Before I knew it, I was on chapter 3 and I was obviously hooked. That epilogue pulled me in and made me fall in love with the characters before I even really “knew” them. Funny how the prologue in That Touch… gave me that same kind of feeling because that book that I picked up on a whim in 2012 was Operation: End Game – Christi Snow’s very first book. Since then I’ve read pretty much read every thing she’s written so imagine how excited I was when I found out that That Touch… was her newest endeavor. FYI – I wasn’t disappointed. 😉

That Touch… is a sweet “friends to lovers” Holiday romance. These aren’t just any friends either. Leo and Izzy have been best friends since grade school. Back when Leo was the new kid being bullied and Izzy was his self appointed protector. Izzy has spent most of her adult life searching for “Mr. Right” and Leo has spent most of his adult life knowing in his heart that his “Ms. Right” was right by his side. By the time that readers meet them, Leo is about ready to give up and Izzy is about to start to see Leo in a whole new way.

Their story is a lot more than their changing relationship though. It’s also about realizing what you really want and standing up for yourself. Izzy’s been hanging on to a family legacy that may not be worth putting up with the family it’s attached to. Leo sees her potential and is willing to do anything to help her see it for herself. His devotion to her made me adore him even more.

Although Izzy and Leo found their HEA in the end, I still felt like there were a couple of loose ends when their story closed. Some of those involve characters that I hope to see more of and some involve some meddling characters that I wish would have been confronted. *sigh* I still walked away from That Touch… with a smile, which is what a sweet romance is all about, right? ❤

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of That Touch... All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really loved this! I haven't read too many books that are friends to lovers, but it made me want to branch out the kinds of romance I read more! Overall this story just felt like a hug, and I really enjoyed reading it.

I was lucky to get an advanced copy of this book from the author. It has been a Ling time since I’ve read a true romance novel with a hint of erotica in it, and this one definitely fit the bill.

It is a sweet story about two best friends from childhood who eventually realize they were meant to be all along. It’s also a great reminder that it’s easy to tell someone about life choices they should or could make, especially those who are in a toxic relationship. But it’s not always so easy to break free. It takes a lot of strength and courage to make those changes after years of set patterns sometimes.

I look forward to reading more of Christi’s books and can’t believe I haven’t until now!

That Touch is a fun friends-to-lovers story filled with nostalgic references, swoony moments, and the perfect amount of steam. Friends since childhood, Izzy + Leo's journey to love is quite the slow burn, but with a serious payoff at the end. This was such a sweet story, and I really enjoyed it!

Ad exec Izzy is obsessed with old movies featuring Rock Hudson. Desperately searching for her own dream man, Izzy thinks she finds him when Shane Humphries walks into her office and offers her the opportunity of a lifetime to create a campaign for Mod Appeal. With her best friend Leo in tow, they are whisked away to a small Colorado resort town to shoot a holiday campaign. Will Shane be Izzy's forever? Not if Leo has anything to say about it...

This friends to lovers holiday romance is cozy, fun and steamy. With nods to fashion, I was easily swept away in the world created in the book. Both Leo and Izzy have to deal with huge family pressures, as well as seeking the approval from tough family members. Izzy must learn how to stand on her own, but also when it's okay to lean on a friend and give into her heart. With a love triangle to add to the drama, That Touch is the perfect book to add to your holiday TBR.

This is a sweet and wintery rom com about two friends finally realizing how perfect they actually are for each other. I am usually not a big fan of friends to lovers trope, but this one was done really nicely, with male m/c being such a great friend and a person, truly a rock for his best friend in any occasion. And I loved it so much, especially cause in today's world, it's such a rare thing to find a person like that.

If you're a fan of stories set in the world of fashion and marketing, and you're not shy of some pretty steamy scenes, this is definitely a book for you 🙂.
