He's my best friend's older brother. My boss. And now my new roommate...

In the hospital, death always comes in threes. Apparently, so do mistakes.
Mistake number one? My fiancé, who I just learned is cheating on me. So much for being the strong, in control doctor who's always on top of her game...

Mistake number two? Knocking on the wrong door.
The door I thought still belonged to my best friend now belongs to his older brother, my obnoxious, overly cocky, gorgeous-as-sin attending physician, Carter Fritz.

The billionaire playboy gives me a place to stay, and a shoulder to cry on. But when he makes me feel seen for the first time in I don’t even know how long, I tell myself I don’t regret what was easily the hottest, most earth-shattering night of my life.

That is until mistake number three comes along... and I'm staring down at a stick with two pink lines.
Having a baby at this stage of my residency could cost me everything I’ve worked so hard to build.

But Carter? He's undeterred. He doesn't just want more; he wants it ALL.
Including me.

But what happens if following my heart turns out to be my biggest mistake of all?

DOCTOR MISTAKE is a 105k word super STEAMY, deliciously angsty forbidden romance that will hit you straight in the feels! It is a standalone in the bestselling Boston's Billionaire Bachelors series featuring Boston's hottest billionaire doctors and the women they fall head over heels for!

3 Stars

Overall Opinion: This was just alright for me. I’m even tempted to rate it below just okay, tbh. It was a lot of assumptions and misunderstandings with a lack of feeling development on page. Not the best combination for me as a picky reader! I didn’t connect with either character and I didn’t really feel a connection between them either. The sex was even meh for me because I didn’t necessarily feel that chemistry that comes from the good connection. It very well could be just me and my book slump as of late — but I’m going with 3 “just okay” stars.

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Grace and Carter’s story. Carter is the attending physician for Grace’s ob/gyn residency and she is also his younger brother’s best friend. Grace has known Carter since she was really little and while she has always been attracted to him, she never thought anything more of him than her hot, frustrating attending. When Grace’s world gets turned upside down and she finds herself without a fiancé or a home, she ends up unexpectedly moving in with Carter. Lines get crossed, there’s a lot of back and forth, a big surprise, and some sexy times…and they get a HFN ending.

Point Of View (POV): This alternated between Grace and Carter’s POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Alright. I wouldn’t say it was bad or anything, but it felt inconsistent at times — fast, slow, fast…etc.

Instalove: Yes, because the development of feelings is mostly off page.

H (Hero) rating: 3 stars. Carter. I didn’t really connect with him and I don’t feel like we really got to know him that deeply. He was frustrating with his assumptions and I wanted to shake him at times.

h (heroine) rating: 3 stars. Grace. I also didn’t feel like I got that deep into her character and I definitely wanted to shake her more than a few times too.

Sadness level: Low, no tissues needed

Push/Pull: Yes

Heat level: Good. They have some good tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story.

Descriptive sex: Yes

OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) drama: Yes

Sex scene with OW or OM: No

Cheating: Not between mcs

Separation: Not technically

Possible Triggers: Yes

Closure: This ends with two cute epilogues but still not enough closure for me to call it a HEA. I know others might consider it a HEA, but I’ll call it a HFN ending because there is something missing for me

Safety: This one should be Safe for most safety gang readers

"She is euphoria. Paradise. Happiness. She is a happiness I never knew was possible."

This book was so wholesome and just a perfect romance book to cheer you up. The sexual tension between them was so good. I definitely recommend this book!

There's a reason I’ve been with this gifted wordsmith since the beginning of her career and eagerly anticipate each new book. She has the Midas touch when it comes to eliciting emotion with her words, and she plays the reader's heart like a master virtuoso. She gives us perfectly imperfect characters with real-life stories who the reader can’t help but identify and empathize with, and she has yet to disappoint.

If you’re fan of medical romance, you’re probably ready to dive into this one. Personally, I can take or leave them, but when it comes to this talented lady's work, it doesn’t matter the trope. I’m in. I started with the series from the beginning, but I think Carter and Grace are my new favorites.

Dr. Grace Hammond is in her second year of an obstetrics residency and Carter Fritz is her attending physician/boss. But they have more history than just professionally. Grace has been BFFs with Carter's brother since they were kids, and the Fritz family feels more like family to Grace than her own parents. A potential conflict of interest, yes, but Carter assures the higher ups he can keep things professional within the walls of the hospital.

He can and does. Until he can’t. Until Grace becomes unengaged and mistakenly shows up at his door, dripping from the rain and sporting a broken heart. Until comforting her seems a lot more like a mission to make her his than soothing the wounds of his brother’s best friend.

And talk about drama! Grey's Anatomy has nothing on this bunch. The rumor mill works at the speed of light and there's a mean girl out to ruin Grace by any means possible. Which is why, when something does happen between Carter and Grace (you saw that coming, right?) Grace really wants to keep things secret.

What more could we ask for? A bossy, arrogant, gorgeous-as sin but heart-of-gold billionaire doctor, and a shero who’s brilliant, independent, dedicated, and a little relationship shy makes for two people who are perfect together.

A little angsty and full of feels, this one is humorous and oh-so-hot, but tender and full of emotion. An epic, satisfying escape, you won’t want to miss this phenomenal, unforgettable read!

What is it about sexy doctors that I find so irresistible? I don't know but I know that you will just love Doctor Mistake by J. Saman for all the witty banter, fierce chemistry and endless emotions. This brother's best friend workplace romance was entertaining, heartwarming and sinful.

Dr. Carter Fritz has it all. A famous and rich and loving family. Stellar reputation as an OB GYN surgeon. But he cannot have who he really wants. His brother's best friend and his resident Grace Hammond. But when her fiance cheats on her and he offers his place to stay, all bets are off. Grace is just out of a messy relationship that has rocked her world and her highly demanding job is complicating her physical issues. Having feelings for her attending is the last thing she needs but she just cannot help it.
.
Carter is a complete package. Charismatic. Sexy. Arrogant. Protective. Possessive. Bossy. He has always hidden his desires and feelings because Grace is technically off limits. But he rises up to the occasion when Grace gets hurt and is breaking so badly. He takes her under his shelter and did his best to make her feel happy and whole again. He had some difficulty letting his controlling parts go as his first instinct is to hide her. But Grace is such an amazing woman! She refuses to let anything come in way of her responsibilities as a doctor. Be it her physical issues. Be it her heartbreak. Be it her tussles with her boss. It was a slow burn but the chemistry was so strong that you won't know how the time passed. They were colleagues. They were great friends. They were sensational lovers. They were essentially soulmates but it just took a bit time for them to realise it. It was swoony and heartaching and everything in between. The Fritz family is definitely special and now I want to read all other stories!

Stepping into Carter’s book was like being a part of a tv show on steroids with readers actually getting to see what goes on behind closed doors. When the author makes you feel like you are a part of the book and not just reading it but makes the book come to life, I end up falling head over heels in love and obsessed with each character (well except Doctor Johnson). Doctor Carter Fritz is incredible at his job, a true workaholic, and very loyal to his family. He is also kind with alpha tendencies which make for a super sexy and steamy read. Carter may come from money but he never acts like it is truly what makes him, yes a tad cocky, but never influenced by money. Grace is a beautiful person inside and out, she works hard to get where she is at in her career, but one incident changes so much in her life. She handles herself with … well grace when it comes to how things ended with her fiancé and with the help of Carter she finds herself realizing how special he truly is then starts moving on with her life quicker than anticipated. They have so much stacked against them with Carter being her attending, Grace being Carter’s brother’s best friend that they should stick to a platonic relationship, but when it comes to Grace, Carter can’t help himself. The attraction is so tangible between them that it makes it impossible to stay away from each other but with so much going on will Grace only see Carter as a friend or something more? Will the odds against them come between what is happening or can they fight and stand together to make it so much more? When one wants everything from the other and the other thinks there time together has an end date on it how will they move forward? This book was fun to read, super steamy, and i loved seeing Grace and Carter together. They have a lot of work cutout for them but their bond is special and truly beautiful while being fun too. Every book continues to be an epic read for me and I cannot wait to see more from this family and group of friends. PS Carter is not only incredible but a mind reader….. “Jasper Diamond’s voice gives me chills every time I hear it.” “You just want to s***w him.” …. Too true Carter too true 😆

“Carter is the break of dawn after waking from a nightmare.”
“I’d fight dragons barehanded for this shot with her.”

I can’t state this enough.
I love this authors’ writing!!!!!
It’s really good, the story line is solid, the characters development is really good, and the plot is amazing!

This is my second ARC of this author, and I honestly can say I’m excited for every single book in this series.
It catches you, it makes you want to keep on reading.
I started a few hours ago, and here I am leaving a review lol

The books follow Carter (dadddddyyyyy!) and Grace (MOMMMMYYYYYY!!) who are both doctors. Grace is a 3rd year resident and Carter her attending.
Their love hate relationship makes their work environment really interesting but the main thing about them is how well they actually working together.

Their relationship starts rocky, it was hard for both of them to actually accept and give into their desires but when they did, they exploded.
Grace became my woman crush fast. Like, faster than my crush for carter lol.

Both characters are full of life and it’s actually refreshing how they pushed each other to be better doctors.

I would like to pledge and have Carter’s babies any time. Thank you.

Tropes: brother’s best friend, forced proximity, doctors. Forbidden unrequited love.

HEA GUARANTEED! Those epilogue got my pretty heart pounding and laughing!!

Romance: 3/5!
Spicy: 5/5. Amazing honestly

It is a first for me reading a J. Saman's book. And what can I say, except....that I loved it. I literally loved it.

I enjoyed reading Carter and Grace's story soo soo much. I was so curiius to read about Grace. She was strong willed, smart, sexy and beautiful. She was everything that a mancan find in her and fall in love. I especially liked that even what she went through, she didn't gave up on love.

Carter...OMG, Carter! He was my dream man. And i definately make an association with Grey's Anatomy - he was Dr. McDreamy 😍. He was a man in love. I loved the fact that he was so patient with Grace and giving her time to fall in love with him too. At one point he became a really sexy alpha man and i was swooned. I mean literally 🤩.

What i liked the most was that J. Saman didn't jumpt telling us the story straight from the blurb. And it was brilliant. This way I managed to get to know both Carter and Grace properly and you can definately say that the story wasn't rushed at all

I do admit one thing though. Sometimes i hated Oliver 😂...I am kidding.

Sadly I have one book to read first and after that I am coming back straight to reading Oliver and Amelia story. I want to read about them too. And I can not wait for Landon's story. I am sure that it will be great ❤️.

Cheesy story with low angst and a Uber cute obsessed hero.
Both characters have known each other all their lives since she’s his brother’s bff.
They haven’t seen for years and then she came back to work for him at the same hospital.
He’s her supervisor and has a thing for her but she’s engaged and is his brother’s bff so she’s off limits.
When her fiancé cheats on her it will be the hero who offers her to stay with him until she doesn’t find another place.
He beats her fiancé and takes her on dates, and falls more and more in love with her.
He’s kind of cute because he thinks she only sees him as a rebound, while actually she’s very much attracted to him and has been for long.
There’s a light ow drama, with a nasty woman who tries to damage the heroine’s reputation at work, but the hero, alpha hottie that he is, takes care of evil woman and makes her disappear. Literally.
- no cheating. No celibacy for both, she was engaged and the hero dated random ow, but since she found her fiancé cheating on her there were no other people for both.
I wasn’t disturbed by the lack of celibacy because it was mutual.
- the hero is more besotted with the heroine than she with him, and pines for her because he doesn’t know if she loves him, nice change for once.

This is my third book by J. Saman and if it's something she succeeds with every single time, then it's the ability to create a real page turner with a big cast of different characters and make them all lovable. I started the book yesterday and here I am, already finished and craving the next book.

We got our first glimpses of Grace and Carter in the first book, Doctor Scandalous , and the hothot tension between them we saw there just got turned up a notch (or more like a few). I love how the chemistry between the characters always feels so real, like you can reach out and touch it. The steaminess of her books is top-notch, nothing else to say about that.

Anyhow, I might not have found J. Saman's books until this year, but I am sure that I will read many, many more from her in the future! They are a safe bet when it comes down to looking for hot, steamy and also sweet romances with a lot of interesting characters who I hope all get their own books.

A big thank you to the author and Grey's Promotions for providing this ARC! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

OMG. I loved this. Pardon me while I gush. I liked Grace as the best friend in Doctor Scandalous, but I LOVED her in this book. Carter and Grace have a ton of history together and amazing chemistry - funny enough that presents more problems than solutions in this book.

Grace is an OB/GYN resident and Carter is her attending. Anything other than a strictly professional relationship is not a great idea. Since Grace is the best friend of Carter’s younger brother, the lines are already a little blurred. And they are about to get a whole lot blurrier (is that a word?!)

Carter and Grace have so much professional respect for each other that they struggle with admitting their attraction. And Grace has learned the hard way that the only things in her life that are reliable are her best friend and her profession. But man, once they admit it…. WATCH OUT.

Great conflicts in this one (and fun villains to “BOO!”), but low angst. You never doubt that these two belong together.

I loved all of this book: the smart, the sweet, and the spicy. Cannot wait for the next one in the Boston Billionaire Bachelors series! If anyone deserves a happy ending it’s Landon.

Grace and Carter have been in each other's lives forever it seems. He's her best friend's brother, her attending physician (her boss), and is off-limits. When she goes through a bad breakup, though, and he's the one to comfort her, it changes things between them, blows the lid off the attraction that's always been there. Can they keep their professional and personal lives separate?

Grace is strong and independent, she's had to be, and not inclined to a relationship considering how all the people who were supposed to love her had treated her. But now she's in over head with her very off-limits best friend's brother, and she's trying to keep her heart from getting too entangled with him. Can she and her possessive new man possibly find happiness when he's a bossy, possessive billionaire AND her attending?

These two lit up my Kindle with their chemistry. They sparked all over the place. Every witty barb, every snarky word, and all the insane tension. I loved every word. And I loved the way Grace was so strong and independent, made Carter work, and brought him to his knees. I am so excited for Landon's story now.

it was alright. i liked the uniqueness of it but it was pretty generic and didn’t have something that truly captivated me. it reminded me a lot of greys anatomy which i liked and the medical descriptions seem to be accurate. the pregnancy was near the end which i really enjoyed since their relationship was already pretty secure. i would’ve liked the H to be more obsessive/possessive over her but he had a good amount of those qualities. they started as a hook up where he has loved her for over a year and waiting for her until she is ready to be in a relationship with him. i thought it was cute, especially when she found out she was pregnant and the H was all for taking time off of his work to take care of their child and for her to go to work because he knew how important it was for her to work and become a excellent doctor!! the storyline was decent and so were the characters and the relationship itself but did not have not factors that stuck with me. i also disliked that the H had been obsessive with another woman and was in love with another woman for FOUR years before the h. this happened way before, but i still like my heroines to be special and i didn’t feel like she was very special since he has already been obsessive over another woman for four freaking years....

I absolutely adore and love workplace medical romance. Carter Fritz and Grace Hammond are about to check off all the boxes for me as a reader.
Carter is a brilliant OB-GYN surgeon, he is handsome, sweet, sexy, and oh yes hiding some feelings for his brother's best friend. So, when Grace knocks on his door late one night distraught and needing a friend, he becomes that to her, but he wants so much more.
Grace Hammond is a woman stretching herself at work. Each day is a jam-packed learning experience as a resident. The last thing that she needs on this emotional ride is a cheating fiancé but she landed that prize! Now she needs to just get away. She runs and goes right to her best friend Oliver's townhouse, but he no longer lives there. She finds his brother Carter, her superior and workplace nemesis.
Carter has known Grace so long that he knows what she needs before she realizes that she does. This couple has a slow burn that was sweet, sexy, filled with wonderful chemistry and fueled by witty sarcastic banter. This was a wonderfully emotional, funny ride with Cater and Grace enhanced by a wonderful cast of characters!

If you are looking for brother’s best friend romance with lovable characters and am accidental pregnancy, then… this book is for you.

Stars: 4/5
Spice: 3.5/5

Grace who is an OBG-YN resident has her life together, an amazing job she loves, great friends and a fiancé. Suddenly it all comes crashing down when she finds out he is cheating on her. Accidentally she finds herself looking for help from her best friend’s older brother who happens to be her attending.

I loved the dynamic between these characters. Oliver was just swoon worthy and Grace was a force of nature. An amazing story with the right amount of spice to keep readers invested and interested in the outcome.

J. Saman has =become a one-click author in my arsenal. I love that this series of interconnected standalones hit so many different tropes. I’m really looking forward to reading the next one in the series.

As a nurse myself I rarely read books than contain hospitals, doctors and nurses. Not because I have anything against them.. but mostly just because I’m spending already a lot of my time inside an hospital. When I’m off work I prefer to spend it outside those walls. But there just was something about this book that spoke to me. So when I signed up, and received an ARC a little while later, I was really excited to start reading.

In ‘Doctor Mistake’ we meet Carter Fritz and Grace Hammond. Carter and Grace have known each other their whole lives. Carter’s little brother is Grace’s best friend. And now they even work together. Better yet, Carter is Grace’s boss. There has always been a certain attraction between the two of them. But they can never be more than friends, and co-workers. Especially since Grace is in a relationship. But when her fiancé ends up being a big liar and cheater, Grace finds herself at Carter’s place and things soon get complicated.

First of all I’d like to say this book really surprised me. I didn’t expect to love the whole hospital, doctor bit as much.. But I really did like it. The two main characters Carter and Grace where really fun to get to know. I loved the chemistry between them, and I could honestly feel it flying of the pages.

This book is both written through Carter and Grace’s point of view, so we really get to know these characters and both their thoughts. I really enjoyed that. And above all I loved reading about Carter. Most times while reading a romance book, we read about how the woman falls for the male. But in this book we mostly read about Carter’s feelings for Grace. And I loved that.

Doctor Mistake’ was a book that really surprised me. I loved the characters, I loved the setting and I definitely loved the chemistry and romance. Carter was a bit much at times, but not necessarily in a bad way. This book also gave us a few glimpses into the lives of the other Fritz siblings which really made me curious. I’d definitely like to read those stories as well.

Mixed feelings

Not one of my favorites from the author, but the main reason this isn't getting a higher rating from me is that the blurb gives away the ENTIRE plot. If something happens 75% of the way into a book, it really shouldn't be in the blurb. Here I was expecting a one night stand/accidental pregnancy romance between coworkers/her best friend's brother, and that is SO not the vibe. This is much more a fling to more/miscommunication romance, with plenty of heat and friction. I'm a big fan of Saman's writing, so there's a lot to love about the story. I love that our hero falls first, I loved the forbidden feel and sexual tension, and I loved how it ties into the series while still feeling like a standalone. But I didn't love the constant miscommunication, and the heroine never really won me over.

The story follows Grace, a woman who has just gotten out of a long-term relationship. Grace's cheating ex has left her with doubts about her self-worth, and she wants to feel desired again. So when she unexpectedly finds herself knocking on her coworker's door - the brother of her best friend - looking for a place to stay, Grace isn't sure what to think. Carter is a playboy who has never showed interest before, but suddenly he seems to be hinting at his attraction. As the two grow closer while living and working together, it becomes impossible to deny the truth: Carter wants her. Carter has wanted Grace for over a year, but he knows he's got to be careful about crossing the line too soon - Grace just got out of a relationship, and becoming her rebound could extinguish any hope they have of a future.

We met both Grace and Carter in the first book in this series, and I was definitely intrigued by their dynamic. They work closely together at a hospital, and I liked the inclusion of the medical field and also Grace's epilepsy. It added a unique touch to the story. I also liked that Carter starts the book with strong feelings - it's always great when a hero has been pining for the heroine, but Carter is pretty dumb about how he handles things, lol. The level of miscommunication was really frustrating to me, and I hated that Grace couldn't look beyond her assumptions that he'd only be interested in a fling. I also didn't love the focus on how Grace hasn't been properly banged and how Carter is such a playboy (when he's been pining for her), but that's just personal preference. They're definitely sexy together, and there's some solid steam in the back half. This probably would've been a low 4-star read for me had the blurb not given away every surprise in the book. That took a lot of the fun out of it for me, so I'm not able to offer a higher rating. I'm looking forward to more from the series, and there are still some mysterious brothers whose stories I'd like to read.

Rating - ⭐⭐⭐.5
Spice - 🌶🌶🌶🌶

Trope - best friends brother, attending × resident, workplace romance, unrequited love, roommates, mutual pining, communication gap, banter, steamy, slowish burn,

Bonus chapter - 4 (2 preview for the next book)

This book started on a good note. Carter and Grace had great chemistry with inevitable workplace banter and secret pining moments. Everything was under control up until her fiance decided to cheat on her and heartbroken, she mistakenly ended up in front of his house for comfort. The initial relationship is angsty and leaves you wanting more from them.

Carter was such a considerate and lovely character but it broke my heart whenever he spoke about his experience with love. This guy was silently fighting a battle against unrequited love. He's such a sweetheart, a grump, but a sweetheart nevertheless. I knew he would eventually get everything he deserved and I couldn't wait to read it all. I loved how he always looked out for Grace and did everything in his power to ensure she was safe and her job never got hampered.

Once again the spice in this book was spicing and every chapter was better and hotter than the previous one and it was just a chef's kiss. It showed the love Carter carried for her and that just added so much more meaning to these moments.

The story was good, however, something was missing. Their situationship was really confusing, he thought they were a couple and was ready to wait for her to reach there, and she thought it was a fling that she was supposed to enjoy but not ask for more. After a point, it was just a turn-off. What I believe disappointed me was how they both wanted each other but it took them more than 60% of the book to realize how the other person felt.

Oliver and Grace's friendship was so pure. We didn't get to see much of this bond in book one, however here it was a different story. He was there for her in the blink of an eye, and that reminds me of how selfless our lovely boy Oliver is. He stole the show once again. He was so damn protective and sweet when it came to Grace. I love how he went all alpha on his older brother just to tell him that if he fucks with his best friend, Carter won't see the end of the world. It has to be the purest interaction considering his relationship with Carter.

Even though I was pissed at the book for going too slow for my liking, all it took was one big seizure for it all to fall back in place. However, I wished this development happened sooner so we could get some more coupley-scenes. The whole episode was kinda scary to read, I felt every emotion Carter did and it was gruesome however I was happy it helped them understand where they stand on the whole relationship status and bring the book back on track.

The blurb was kind of misleading because I was expecting an ONS and surprise pregnancy. And after one point I forgot this event was mentioned there because it happened after 70% of the book was completed and honestly it spoiled the fun of the trope. I think the trope was not placed properly in the book.

Carter didn't deserve this much pushing away from Grace, even though I understood where she came from and her fears, it just didn't seem fair to Carter who has done nothing but make her feel special and take immense care of her. In the end, I was just happy that Carter got the love and happiness he deserved. Finally, his unrequited love was no longer one-sided, and friends that was the best thing.

I loved how finally Grace took the leap of faith Carter was asking her to take for them and fought for her love and career. She was such a strong character, I just wished she didn't self-sabotage herself for the better half of the book and realized everything and trusted the process. Honestly, at one point, I thought her character wasn't delivered well, she could have been a different person but her past inflicted such strong insecurities and doubts in her, that she questioned every single action. Her character could have been the best if she could be just as sassy and strong-headed throughout the book and not just when she was fighting with Carter at work. These two were such great characters. They were soulmates, who silently fought battles and still stayed strong. JUSTICE for them, because they deserved so much more, and I don't think their story was as good as should've been.

I LOVED WHEN JANET GOT WHAT SHE DESERVED, and thank god everything turned out well for Grace.

I feel so bad doing this to these two characters whom I anticipated the most. But, there was just too much miscommunication, drama, and assumptions for my liking.

I have higher hopes for Kaplan and Landon's book. Luca, not so much. Hopefully, I'm proven wrong and I enjoy all forthcoming books.

I so wanted to enjoy all the books in the series and it's a bummer that this book didn't meet my expectations.

Overall 3.5/5

This book was so sweet!!!

I'm such a huge fan of J. Saman. I'm slowly making my way through all her books. And each book I fall more and more in love with her writing! Her ability to write books centered around family is my favorite. The way the characters look out for each other! It's so wholesome.

“Not all surprises are bad. Maybe because it’s you and it’s me and it’s us.”

After reading Undeniably Convenient, I knew I wanted to read about Owen's parents.

Carter and Grace were both so damn sweet!!

Carter is a dirty talking, possessive, OBGYN doctor! Grace is his younger brother's best friend.

I loved their story so much!

- Brother's best friend
- Medical romance
- Forced proximity
- Possessive MMC
- Surprise pregnancy
- FMC who deals with seizure

“I want you. I want our baby. I want it all. None of this life is worth anything to me if I don’t have you. Take the risk with me, Grace. Stay. No more running. Let’s stack the odds in our favor. I promise it’ll be worth the gamble.”

I loved Oliver and Grace's friendship!

“Carter, let it be known now that I will f***ing destroy you if ever hurt my girl. She’s the B side to my A side, brother.”

I love it when authors create a world that extends from one series to another, so even though the focus is on a new couple each book, you still get a little bit of previous couples and characters. This book has characters that go way back to the Wild Love series and of course, the Edge series. So while this book can absolutely be read as a stand alone, I recommend at least starting with the Edge series because every character from those books are included in this one and the one before this one, Doctor Scandalous.

This book features Carter and Grace. Grace is a few years younger and is best friends with Carter's brother Oliver. So after completing his residency in Virginia, Carter returns to Boston as an attending doctor and Grace, who he hasn't seen in years is now one of his residents. The attraction is immediate, but Grace is not only off limits because he is her boss, and his brothers best friend, but because she is engaged to a man none of her friends care for. So when Grace finds out that her fiancée cheated on her, she leaves him and goes to Oliver, forgetting that Oliver has moved and now Carter is living in his condo. Carter takes this opportunity to help her by letting her stay with him. He doesn't want to be the rebound guy, but he hopes that in time, he can show Grace how much he wants her and how good they can be together.

Carter goes above and beyond to show Grace that he is the one for her while trying not to scare her away. It's a delicate balance. Grace isn't sure if she is ready for a real commitment and then she isn't sure that's even what Carter wants because he says one thing, so he doesn't spook her, but his actions say otherwise and Grace isn't sure how he feels or if she can trust her instincts.

This was a quick, easy read with great characters, a hot alpha male who excels at dirty talk, an awesome family and funny, meddling friends. I would definitely recommend this book.

One word describes Doctor Mistake SPELLBINDING, if I could give Carter and Grace's mind-blowing love story more than 5⭐️ I would, be prepared to want to read this marvel in one sitting, it is unputdownable.

Even after finishing Doctor Mistake, I am wanting to snuggle down and re-read this irresistible medical romance, J. Saman has delivered an epic beautiful swoon-worthy read, Grace and Carter's chemistry is of the charts, and who wouldn't fall in love with a couple who deliver babies for a living.

Grace has known Carter since she was born, in fact, her best friend is Carter's younger brother. Grace is in her third-year residency working under Carter, who she has no idea has had a crush on her for over a year, when Grace needs a shoulder to cry on as her life comes crumbling down, Carter is there in more ways than one. I just loved the dynamics between the two, as well as the tight bond that Grace has with Carter's family. Doctor Mistake is just so perfect and wonderful, I really cannot recommend it highly enough.

I am now hooked on this series and have pre-ordered the next book which doesn't come out until April, something I haven't done in a long time because so sure am I that J. Saman will deliver yet again a not to miss read.

Doctor Mistake is Carter Fritz’s story and it is one amazing journey.
Carter is an OB-GYN and is his brothers best friend Grace’s attending.
These two get along at work like chalk and cheese. Its highly comical to be quite honest.
When Grace discovers her fiancée cheating, she runs off for support, but in her daze, forgot that her best friend Oliver had moved. Needless to say Carter seeing her in such distress offers her a safe place to stay. What happens afterwards is support like no other. There is also drama which will send your emotions haywire as it did mine.
I honestly couldn’t put this book down. The heartfelt but also steamy moments as well as the worrying ones just made this one of my favourite reads this year.
I am chomping at the bit for more from the Fritz men.
Absolutely loved it!

Another dip into the Abbort-Fritz world! Fanfreakingtastic.....we get Carter's story in this book. Carter is smack dap in the middle of the birthing order with his brothers and sister. Carter is a polished, alpha, playboy, doctor that is used to being in control, loud when needed to be heard or get his point across and finds himself in one heck of a pickle. What happens when your resident becomes more to you, your little brother's best friend become steals your heart and your roommate is conflicts with moving forward with life. The special lady for Carter, is Grace. I love this family and all its extensions. It is such an experience to read their stories as this author ensures you have a front row seat to it all! I cannot wait for the next Fritz to meet their HEA! Enjoy!

What a swoon worthy book! Carter and Grace are everything I wanted them to be and more! Carter is such a caring, heart-stopping alpha, but his love for Grace tugs at your heartstrings! And I love how confident and strong Grace is! These two are so perfectly matched that I could not put this book down! J. Saman’s writing is just so wonderful and she knows how to bring out all the emotions in you! I love seeing old characters and just love the Fritz family and cannot wait for more!

“She is a vision that stops my breath. That holds my heart.
Never in a million years will I tire of her.
She’s it. My one.”

i’m surprised by this book bc tbh i didn’t expect this to be a 5 star read. it has the tropes best friends older brother, boss x assistant dynamic, boy obsessed & boy falls first, forced proximity and surprise pregnancy which some people don’t like but in my opinion it was written very well.

the only thing i would change is the writing. it was kinda weird i can’t explain why i didn’t like it but i was far too invested in carter’s and grace’s story to care.

If you like a workplace/brother's best friend/surprise baby romance with a beautiful and brilliant resident doctor and her bossy, arrogant, alpha, sweet & sexy as hell attending physician, you'll love this book! The author brings the sizzling attraction, heat, a little angst, workplace drama, laughs, and all of the feels! I devoured it in one day. This is a must-read book that you won't want to miss. This is my first read by this author but it won't be the last!
