I’m a scoundrel
Playboy. Man whore.
Basically, I get around, and I’m not afraid to admit it.

So when my best friend opens up Salacious Players’ Club and asks me to head the construction, how could I say no?
Now we’re on a cross-country road trip touring other kink clubs, and I couldn’t be happier.
Life is good.

Then Hunter suddenly asks me to sleep with his wife…while he watches.
I’ll do anything for my best friend, but this is the one request I should say no to.
Isabel is the woman of my dreams, but she’s his.
And the exact reason I should say no is the one reason I say yes.
Because it’s not only Isabel I want.

These are the two most important people in my life, and if we go down this path, how will I ever be able to walk away?
I’m not sure my best friend understands just how much I’m willing to do for him—and why.

an almost perfect poly romance imo. i really liked that this one attempted to show the more emotional side to their relationship. my only criticism is that i would have liked more relationship development. i felt the chemistry between everyone and the sex was hot but i needed just a little bit more discussion on relationship dynamics for this to be a perfect relationship.

that being said though, all of the books in this series have the same ratio of smut:relationship so i don't think this was an outlier by any means. honestly a really fun time. lucky isabel.

Alright, ladies, let's chat. I just finished listening to "Give Me More", and oh my goodness, it was an absolute delight!
But before we dive into the book, can we talk about audiobooks for a minute? Seriously, if you haven't embraced them yet, you're missing out on a whole new world of storytelling. You can find Audiobook version here Give Me More - Audiobook
They're like a little escape from reality, perfect for those moments when you need a break from the chaos of everyday life.

Now, back to "Give Me More." This book? It's like a breath of fresh air – a tantalizing blend of romance and intrigue that kept me hooked from the first chapter. And let me tell you, the narrator? Pure magic. Their voice brought the characters to life in such a vivid way, I felt like I was right there in the story with them.

I've learned to appreciate the little luxuries in life, and audiobooks are definitely one of them. They make it so easy to indulge in a good book while I'm cooking dinner, going for a walk, or just unwinding after a long day.

So, if you're in need of a little escape, I highly recommend giving "Give Me More" a listen. Trust me, it's the perfect companion for those moments when you want to lose yourself in a captivating story.

I died, ya’ll.
I’m dead.
My emotions have been rinsed out.
This was poly excellence, okay.
And it was fuckin’ delicious from page one.
But it was also painful from page one.

I’m obsessed with these characters. I adore them. Sara Cate describes this book as a fever dream in her acknowledgments and that’s exactly how I felt reading it.

Basic premise: Hunter and Isabel are the married couple in this story, Drake is the best friend. Poly shenigans ensue. Well, something like that. Throughout this whole book, you’re following them on a journey of them figuring that out.

“You guys have the weirdest fucking marriage.”

The writing very much conveys the weight of emotions and inner turmoil these characters carry around, especially Hunter. The whole tone of the story felt fragile and tense. The characters are walking on eggshells whilst they’re exploring something new and you are right there beside them.
Not only are they exploring something new, they’re coming to terms with their own demons.

Words don’t always need to be explicitly stated on paper for you to get an understanding of who someone is. Their behavioural patterns will reveal a lot. And Sara Cate showcased and portrayed that wonderfully about them all.

Even though I wanted more on Hunter and his internalised homophobia and what he’s suffered growing up (because I’m greedy for stories always), we get more than enough of an understanding to the point that his pain is painted and palpable in the readers mind. Vividly. It weighed my heart right down

Drake and his man-whorish ways very much stemmed from his messed up childhood. And they both haven’t dealt with their issues in the healthiest of ways and I always appreciate it when authors can highlight that about their characters. Then proceed to explore how that translates in their adult life.

Seeing this throuple of best friends figure out this dynamic between them was fascinating. It had my heart aching. It was not pretty, but it simultaneously had such incredibly intimate moments. They made sense. I believed all of it and was rooting for them through and through.

The title was apt. They wanted more. I wanted more. I got more. And I’m not going to get over them anytime soon.

“I never feel as whole as I do when I’m with them.”

*Thank you to the Author for an ARC of this title.*

Dang it.. this was stinking beautiful. The perfect MMF and a perfect book for Pride Month. No joke. This became so much more than I expected... as this series does again and again. I knew I was going to be moved and shaken by this throuple, and Sara Cate did NOT disappoint me.

Hunter, Isabel, and Drake had such emotions behind every move they made. Their friendship has been built over years and situations that have forged them into something special. But will they be able to withstand temptation when Hunter gets an urge to experiment?

Drake may be seen as a playboy of both genders and willing to get freaky with anyone, but even he feels a bit stung when his best friend suggests what he does. However, Hunter believes that his marriage and his best friend and intertwine with no consequences.

"Maybe the reason my marriage is so sacred to you is because you've always been a part of it. And maybe what I'm asking you isn't so crazy, after all." -Hunter

Hunter seems pretty confident, and every time Isabel and Drake try to point out potential pitfalls... it only convinces Hunter more and more that this is worth exploring.

What is unknown to Hunter, yet obvious to Isabel and everyone else is that Drake is deeply in love with his best friend. So asking him to become a tool for their pleasure is a bit much.

"Is this cruel of me? To set my best friend up for heartbreak? Or do I know, deep down, I would never let that happen? That somehow I can still protect him after all of this is said and done?"
-Hunter

But Hunter has some awakenings of him own to experience and what I loved more than ANYTHING was how Isabel was always accepting and graceful about everything. She challenged Hunter as much as she loves him. As she grows more in love with Drake and learns more about her husband and his desires, it pushes her to grow and question things too.

What really knocked my socks off in this story was how Sara Cate did something I almost NEVER see MMF writers able to accomplish: she carefully showed, cultivated, and explored 4 different dynamics that are in a throuple. The marriage: Hunter and Isabel. The new couple: Isabel and Drake. The slow burn friends to lovers: Hunter and Drake. And the ménage: all of them together.

For me to REALLY believe a MMF and to be fully invested, I need to see all parts of this. It makes every sexy scene more intimate and it gives weight and truth to the success of a long term poly relationship. This was a damn fine one and my hats are completely off.

I know I rambled, so I will draw this to a close. However, I hope I have adequately expressed how deeply I loved this book. As a lover of poly romance, I can't fully explain how rare it is to feel that an author "gets" what I need to see. I would have read 200 more pages of this throuple.

Give me more, give me more, give me more.

4 on the spice scale.

“I never feel as whole as I do when I’m with them.”

I absolutely ADORED this book. What starts out as some kinky fun between friends, turns into so much more. I love a good MMF romance, so the bones of this story already sold me, but Sara Cate took a trope that I love and took it to the next level of emotional poly romance. Best friends. Long term longing for all three parties. Soul mates. A ROAD TRIP. I’m sorry, but my fictional road trip loving heart was satiated with this one and I needed to scream it. There’s angst, sweet moments, bittersweet moments, emotional moments, and so much heat. I can’t lie, Hunter, Isabel, and Drake go through it at some points during this story, but this was such an incredible read. I loved them so much, so I just wanted to read them happy of course, but even the hard parts were easy to read because I knew they were stepping stones on the way to forever.

Anyway. Before I spoil anything I just want to say, I adored this book and if you enjoyed Praise and Eyes on Me you are going to want to LIVE in Give Me More because hands down it’s now my favorite read in this series.

That said I can’t wait for Mercy. I’m a little sad because I don’t want this to ever end because I love this SPC world, but I know Sara will take us out with a bang… or five 😂

I finished “Give me more” so I could rant about it!
I really wanted to love this book, I mean, I counted the days till its publication. But wow, the disappointment is strong here.
This book has a lot to unpack so let’s dive right in.
I understand that it’s difficult to portrait a relationship between three people and put it in a book with multiple POVs. We have a couple (Hunter and Isabel) and their best friend Drake. Hunter wants to fulfill his fantasies and watch his best friend have sex with his wife. Even though the characters are constantly saying in their heads that they want to do this, due to the lack of communication their actions still feel forced and unnatural. For the whole first part of the book Hunter and Drake focus on Isabel and her pleasure but she still seems like the third wheel, like Hunter can’t understand his feelings towards Drake and uses her as a tool instead of taking actions himself. He tells them what to do, how to fuck, and in a different setting I’d find it hot but there it just looks like Hunter is trying to be with Drake physically through Isabel.
Now about Drake… he’s bi and a manwhore. He agrees that in a relationship with a man he’d miss pussy and “If it’s any consolation, I think I would miss dick just as much if I settled down with a woman.”
It’s so biphobic.
You see, that stereotype is the exact reason why many lesbians don’t want to date bisexual women. They think we’ll hop on a dick any chance we get. It doesn’t fucking work this way. If I’m in a committed relationship, as a bisexual woman I won’t be thinking about all the pussies and dicks I’m missing out. And the fact that Drake settles down only when he has both pussy and dick is even worse. Yes, one can be bi AND sex positive and while there’s nothing wrong with it, was it really necessary to portrait Drake like that? Idk it would have been better if the roles had been reversed - Hunter is openly bi and Drake is struggling to accept his sexuality hence why he sleeps with different women - to prove himself that he likes only them and not men.
Now to the mm scene (slight spoilers ahead). Hunter can’t accept his bisexuality at first so the first sex with a man has to be important, right? But it was shown from Isabel’s POV. I think the author wanted us to make sure that she wasn’t left out, and at first I was like okay, we can see that Isabel’s happy that her husband is finally accepting his true self. But then she creeps on them having sex and starts masturbating without them knowing at first. What in the gay sex fetishization?🤠
Some smut was hot ngl, but I was so annoyed towards the end I skipped most of it.

4 stars 😈

thank you neela for being the only reason i continued this series after book 1 because this is by far the best book of the series.

tropes:
↬ BDSM
↬ hotwifing
↬ polyamory
↬ unrequited love
↬ MF/MM/MFM/MMF
↬ best friends to lovers/husbands best friend

watch me occasionally pretend to care for anything besides the smut

hunter (H) and drake (H) have known each other since they were kids. both were born on the wrong side of the tracks with hunter’s dad being an abusive alcoholic and drake having to witness his mom mess around with unsavory men. when hunter's dad was on a tirade, he would often go to drake’s house and sleep in his basement.

isabel (h) is a good girl and a bookworm that was only 17 when she first met hunter and drake. hunter and isabel’s relationship was so cute because hunter told her, the moment he first spoke to her, that she was his future wife—
“I’m gonna save you in here as Red, but can I have your actual name?”
“Isabel.”
“Isabel…” he says, trying it out on his tongue.
“And yours?” I ask.
“Hunter, your future boyfriend. No…your future husband.”

the way he wanted to be better for her so we quit being a drug dealing, bad boy and got an apartment and a real job 😭🫶🏻

now, over a decade later, hunter and isabel are married and drake is basically their third wheel. poor guy. hunter is the part-owner of a sex club called salacious and drake is a contractor they use. the book starts off with hunter, drake and isabel on a road trip to look at sex clubs around the country, for ideas on how to improve their own sex club.

while at a sex club in phoenix, drake and isabel are mistaken as a couple and pulled on stage for a shibari demonstration

in this case, shibari involves using rope to restrain someone, often times for more leverage during sex. while drake was tying up isabel and performing the demonstration for the crowd, hunter ends up walking in and seeing them—
My mouth goes dry. Because somewhere in the room, I feel Hunter’s eyes watching us. I scan the room again, but I don’t see him. I feel him, though. He’s out there. He can see me exposed and tied up with his best friend, and my heart pounds wildly in my chest at the thought.

it was so funny watching them get all nervous and hunter was sat there getting a hard on BAHHAH

please, when the shibari instructor asks drake to hold onto the ropes and thrust against her while she was bent over 😮‍💨

after witnessing that, hunter realizes that he has a hotwife kink. hotwifing is when a married woman has sexual relations with another man or men, often times with their significant other watching.

hunter proposes the idea of him watching drake and isabel have sex, which they both refuse. he dropped the subject because he’s a cutie and promised to never live out his fantasy...until they realize they want to do it. poor hunter thought he ruined everything LOL

and y’all THIS SHIT GETS SO FUCKING HOT 🫦🫦
“Your girl has a dirty fucking mouth.”
“Yes, she does. Fucking filthy,” I reply.
She squirms some more, as if she’s trying to find his dick.
“I mean, look at her,” Drake says, teasing her with his hands around her backside. “Cuffed to this bench like a little slut, begging for dick.”

the degrading by calling her 'little slut’ 🤌🏻🥵

let me not forget the scene where drake wants to include hunter in the sharing, so he puts isabel on hunter’s lap. while drake is fucking isabel, his eyes meet Hunter’s over her shoulder—
...but where do my eyes wander? Straight to Hunter’s face. Probably because he’s watching me. And as I thrust between his legs, brushing up against his thighs, I realize how much it looks and feels as if I’m fucking him.

hunter has always felt some attraction towards drake, but he’s always denied it because of how traumatic his childhood was and the mentality his dad had. drake on the other hand (who is bisexual), has been in love with hunter for a long time, as long as he can remember

the first time we actually notice tension between hunter and drake was in book 2 when drake mentions not having an issue fucking another man. hunter gets pissed off by it. drake always thought it was some sort of prejudice that hunter had but it wasn’t…he was jealous of how comfortable drake was with his sexuality and well...the idea of him fucking a man other than him BAHAH. but huntie didn’t realize that yet 💗

after denying his attraction for drake for years, hunter lets his jealousy get the better of him because what better way is there to realize you want someone. while at another sex club, drake enters a dark room. which is a completely pitch black room where people can have sex with anyone without seeing them. when hunter enters the room (with high vision googles) he sees drake getting hit on by another man

and boyyyy does hunter get jealous—
I still can’t see him or anything, but there’s no time to try because his mouth is suddenly on mine. With one hand firmly around the back of my neck, he kisses me hard.
[…]
“Mine,” he mutters darkly, and my cock stirs in response.

the situation actually made me sad afterwards because after drake gives hunter a blowjob, he leaves him on the floor. the whole situation felt horrible and degrading for drake. this was my brain for the majority of the book watching hunter want drake and proceed to leave him after any sort of physical connection

drake feels like it’s always him sacrificing something, whether it’s his time or him being forced to watch two people he loves, be happy together—
“I’m coming,” I reply, following closely behind him. Because that’s what I do.
That’s what I always do.

one night, isabel wakes up to hear drake and hunter making out in the hallway. she hears hunter tell drake to go into the bedroom and prep himself. hunter walks into isabel’s room, where she tries to fake sleep because she wants them to have this moment for themselves

reading the scene where hunter fucks drake for the first time from the perspective of isabel was SO GOOD. also the way she was getting off on it BAHAHAH girl I don’t blame you—
The bed creaks, the headboard slamming into the wall as Hunter fucks him with fire and passion now, thrusting to a heavy beat. And if they thought I was going to sleep through this, they are crazy.

the way she was trying to keep quiet because she didn’t wanna interrupt. it’s okay girl, hunter already knew you were watching 😌

this is only a fraction of the sex scenes y’all

as you can see, this book is hot AS HELL. the romance between drake and hunter was far superior than their’s with isabel. half the time i was like…isabel?¿ haven’t heard of her👩‍🦯

drake made me wanna cry so many times because he was always so fucking in love with hunter and couldn’t act on it for so damn long UGH—
“I guess while you were his whole world…he was mine.”

hunter’s character development was perfect omg i adored watching him accept who he really was 🥺

honorable mention:
this sweet moment, during the short flashback scene that i mentioned before, when hunter and isabel first met—
“No, I don’t come here often, but now I’m thinking I should.”
“To pick up girls?” I reply, trying not to blush.
“To talk to you.”

While on a work-related road trip, Hunter has an opportunity to not only give his wife, Isabel, an experience she craves, but to give in to his own secreted desires.

I 100% expected heIIa steam given the first two installments of the Salacious Players Club series. What I didn’t expect was the intense emotional connection and response to the trio. Watching the torment of his upbringing cause Hunter to suppress his feelings for Drake was heartbreaking. Breaking the generational curse was hard, but it was incredibly rewarding to see Hunter, Isabel, and Drake find their HEA.

Undoubtedly my favorite book in the series so far!!

HOLY F-CK THAT WAS SO GOOD.

This book IS GOLD. GOLD I TELL YOU!!! I seriously cannot believe how strongly I fell in love with Drake, Hunter and Isabel. I mean wow. My heart melted and so did the Coochie.

I can’t even begin to tell you have many times I couldn’t fcking breathe because the steam was POURING off the pages and I was a puddle of emotions.

The storyline was wonderful and my god I wish I could read it all over again. I loved how they visited various clubs and how they learned more about themselves after each one. Plus I learned a lot of new things and that was an added bonus.

I was most excited for this book out of the series so far but, it seemed to just fall flat for me. I wish we got more of them building their emotional connection rather than it mainly focused on the physical. They have a very long history together so we never really get to see their feelings develop which made it harder to believe.

To me, it felt as if Drake and Hunter were using Isabel in order to explore their sexual desires with each other. Especially since wherever Drake and Isabell were together, Hunter was always involved but when Drake and Hunter did anything physical, it was kind of secretive and just the two of them. I’m not saying an MMF relationship has to always be the three of them together but, in this case it just felt like the first times should be together to show that they did in fact, want Isabel involved with them.

I also didn’t like when Hunter just left them for a bit without really taking into account his wife. I understand that he needed to figure some stuff out on his own but he basically just ditched his wife who was heartbroken without so much as a kiss goodbye. And then on top of that, Drake and Isabel felt like they couldn’t be physical during this time because it didn’t feel right without Hunter. Which again just felt like she wasn’t an actual person in the relationship but more like someone they could use for each other.

Overall, I did enjoy this book especially the beginning with the tension and angst building up, but Isabel feeling like a third wheel brought it down for me.

“We’ve always been best friends, but maybe that’s what best friends are—soul mates in disguise.”

see, this is not the type of book i like to read. at all. i just can’t enjoy books that are heavily focused on smut, mainly because they make me cringe a lot (most of the times authors don’t know how to written them well, let’s be real) and i prefer to read stories with depth and an actual plot that focuses more on important things instead of focusing mostly on sex scenes. my smutty wattpad-y phase is obviously long gone. that’s the reason why i had no desire to read this series — i mean, what’s the point of reading books that are clearly not my thing? i think it’s pointless to do that. i don’t want to waste my precious time reading stuff that are uninteresting for me.

however, i needed a palate cleanser to get out of a reading slump so i decided to finally read it. i didn’t expect much from it, honestly. well, i actually didn’t expect anything, i just wanted something basic (trashy) to help with my slump and i was desperate to leave my ‘comfort zone’ for awhile and try something different. the first two books were unsurprisingly bad, which was fine with me; as i said, i wasn’t expecting anything so i can’t really complain.

now this one right here? so. freaking. good. seriously! i enjoyed every second of it and literally finished it in one sitting (it was impossible to put it down). i don’t usually read poly romances, but this was done so well and surprised me in the best way — i adored Hunter, Isabel & Drake’s story so much and they are amazing together and also individually. i’m so glad i gave their story a chance because it delivered everything i didn’t know i was needing.

sure, it’s not the best book i have read and it does have its flaws, it’s not perfect nor something that i could call a masterpiece. but even so, i had the best time reading it.

i don’t give 4 star ratings easily (same goes for 5 star ratings) but Give Me More kept me hooked from the beginning to the very end, it had me giggling, blushing and kicking my feet late at night, and it cured my reading slump — sort of — so why not give it a high rating, right?!

totally recommend it if you are looking for a good, fun, spicy and surprisingly heartfelt book to pass the time.

So the smut in this thing was top notch. It’s about 80% of the book and dominates the story, so it had better be great. The story itself sadly wasn’t great for me. It just felt off. As a heterosexual person, I can’t ultimately say that this book didn’t feel authentic to bisexuality but regardless, this book didn’t feel authentic to bisexuality. It felt like it was written by a heterosexual person in the way we think bisexuality works. The character of Drake was painted as a whore for all comers, he would fuck anyone, any gender. Then there’s Hunter who unlocks his bisexuality by being with Drake, yet Drake is the ONLY dude he finds attractive. Two bisexual stereotypes that I've seen several times, and always in books where a straight author wants to diversify their smut by throwing in a MMF. It just felt wrong to me. Not wrong like woke wrong, but inaccurate and overly simplistic.
Then we have the character of Isabel, who is really just a catalyst to bringing the two men together and occasionally a wet hole for them to bond-fuck over. She was very much sidelined in this story and was only used as a tool for the two male characters to find each other and come to terms with their sexual relationship. So overall plot wise, this book was a fail. But lots and lots of MMF descriptive sex, so that was fun.

4.5 ★ we love a consistent queen. sara cate deliverssss yet again.

I have been so excited for this book ever since I heard it was going to be MMF, and I loved the little moments of tension we saw in book 2. These three had some crazy chemistry and it was obvious they’d been fighting it for years. Hunter and Drake have been best friends since they were kids, and when Hunter met Isabel (his now wife) 10 years earlier, their duo became a trio. Drake stayed close with Hunter even after his marriage, all three were basically attached at the hip.

When the three of them set out on a road trip to explore some ~night clubs~, close quarters and years of chemistry finally cause the tension to break. What starts out as Hunter wanting Drake to have some fun with his wife quickly turns into long buried feelings coming to the surface.

This book was hot, when it comes to the spice in this series, Sara Cate knows what she is doing. It’s gunna hit every. single. time ❤️‍🔥 I love how seamlessly they transitioned from platonic to something totally new for them, as if that’s how it was always supposed to be. I do wish we had seen a little more of Hunter and Drake, their past and how things change for them now. Given Hunter’s pov in the epilogue, some parts of his journey confused me a little, and the 3rd act conflict definitely broke my heart. But ultimately such a great book, it’s fun, it’s hot, its k!nky

I’m so impressed w these stories and all of the character development throughout each book so far. she doesn’t keep you waiting for the spice in this one, those three definitely know how to have a good time 👀

This book was so much more angsty than I thought it was going to be! Isabel and Hunter are happily married, and they've always had their best friend Drake by their side. Recently, though, Drake hasn't felt as fulfilled with his life and Hunter has started having a fantasy. A fantasy of Isabel and Drake get together. When the three go on a road trip to check out a bunch of clubs similar to their own, things start heating up between the three of them. While it sounds like a spicy time, this was actually really emotional and deep, especially when it came to Hunter and Drake. Hunter has some serious scars from his past, especially with his father, and that's why he's so reluctant to explore his sexuality as an adult. He has always been attracted to Drake, but he doesn't know if he can accept that part of himself. Since there were three of them, I wasn't sure how the balance of their relationship would work, but I ended really enjoying their individual relationships and how they all ended up working together. Things got tough at the end and each pairing had to figure things out before the three of them could be happy together. I do with we got a little more from Isabel as a character, but overall I really enjoyed this one!

”Rule #10: It’s okay to want what you want.”
I discovered Sara Cate’s books this year and I couldn’t be happier. This was another win for me, and I loved every minute of it. I really can’t recommend it enough. I may not be able to tell you how good this was in my review. I hope I am. The previous book in the series remains my favorite, for personal reasons, but this was incredible.
The fact that you have the perspective of the three main characters really helps you get into the story, and then it pulls you in and doesn’t let you go.

”Drake and I don’t have an origin story. I don’t remember a moment in my life he wasn’t there.”
I loved Drake. He sees himself as a scoundrel, and maybe he’s sort of been one, but he’s so much more than that. I think he doesn’t see it, and that he feels undeserving and afraid to ask for more. But his thoughts just made me want to hug him.

”Hunter signed over his entire soul to me the day we got married, and I hold it dearly, like it’s my own.”
Hunter was amazing. It’s really hard to describe him because he’s been conditioned by the way he’s been brought up, but he adapted. He loves with all his heart, and he’s devoted to the people he loves. He’s the gentleman in public and the dirty guy in the bedroom, and man, did I love it!

“Seeing me being touched by your best friend turned you on?” she asks in a teasing tone.
Isabel is probably one of my favorite heroines. She’s unafraid to try anything, and she acts as the mediator. She knows what she wants, and she’s aware of what they want, even when they’re not so sure themselves. She goes for it. She’s unapologetic.

“Maybe the reason my marriage is so sacred to you is because you’ve always been a part of it. And maybe what I’m asking you isn’t so crazy, after all.”
Hunter and Isabel are a couple. Drake is his best friend, and he’s always around. They take him everywhere. He’s always been a part of their marriage, and an integral part of their relationship. When Isabel and Drake participate in a shibari demonstration, Hunter is watching. Suddenly, the guy who didn’t think he had a kink realizes he does: he’d like to see his wife and his best friend together. Why? He’s not so sure. But he wants to make it happen.

”I care about the two of them more than anyone else in the world.”
Hunter’s desire is tearing him up. His fear of where it will lead, how they will react when he tells them about it… you see his inner struggle and it’s heartbreaking while also being exhilarating. The thing is… they reluctantly jump aboard that train, and it becomes so much more than a hotwifing kink.

”The energy between them and the sight of my two favorite people on earth devouring each other has me wanting to explode. I love it so, so much.”
The sex scenes were hot AF, but they had a connection and an emotion behind them that made them very unique. It’s not just about discovering a kink, but also about rediscovering your sexuality. About not being afraid or ashamed of who you are. Sara’s descriptions are on point, and it’s like you’re there. And yes, you have M/F scenes, but also M/M and MMF, and everything about all of it was absolutely perfect.

“Let’s get one thing clear. I’m not interested in watching tonight.”
Hunter is definitely at the center of this. The conflict within him and his past, everything he’s overcome… my heart broke for him. He needs to open up, to trust, to allow himself to love and be loved, but that’s not an easy thing to do, even with the people you love the most beside you.

I loved seeing the characters from previous books, and again I loved how insightful Emerson is. You gotta love this guy!

”I never feel as whole as I do when I’m with them.”
This turned out to be a very emotional book for me. What started out as a kink turned out to be about three people finding and accepting themselves. About fighting for what they have. About realizing and embracing what they were always supposed to be. Love is love, and the only thing that matters is that you’re happy.
What a ride, and what a book. For sure one of my favorites this year.

I couldn’t put this one down. It’s probably one of the best MMF romances I’ve ever read and I’m positively in love with the three main characters.

Hunter’s journey of self acceptance was my favorite aspect and the reason why I didn't hesitate in giving this 5 stars. He grew up with a bigoted and abusive father, and as a result, Hunter has lived in fear of exploring his own sexuality all his life. I cried several times as Hunter struggled and came to terms with his bisexuality. It was so relatable and touching, and the payback at the end was so satisfying and precious.

I thought Drake would be my favorite character, but turns out quiet Hunter was a hidden gem. His dirty talk, primal dominance and intensity had me going a bit feral. His love for these two was so precious, it was impossible not to fall for him.

Then it turned out, Drake had been secretly in love with his best friend all this time and my heart literally melted for him. And his intense connection with Isabel was insane. You could feel the chemistry while reading them together.

Isabel is probably my favorite FMC so far. She’s so sweet and loving, she’s loyal and fiercely protective of her loved ones. And she has a secret kinky side I was living for. Her discovery of smut romance books as a teen and how they shaped her was like reading my own story lol And the way she helped Hunter to accept his feelings for Drake was so beautiful.

The balance between the three relationships was so masterfully well done, it never felt like Isabel was an afterthought or like Drake wasn’t as important. And that’s the magic when it comes to ménage romance. And this book had plenty of it. The ending, with her being pregnant and calling Drake her husband as well was soooooooooooooooooooooo sweet, and the second epilogue was even better!

I’m tempted to read this again, I was completely consumed by this story and the book hangover is kicking my ass now.

Well It’s so fkin obvious at this point.

No denying it anymore.

I am cursed.

Cursed to never find a good MMF.

Yep.

Out of the dozens of MMFs I've encountered, I keep thinking it's gonna be a good one, but nope. It's always disappointment that waits for me.

And out of the dozens of MMFs I've read, maybe 2 of them were decent in portraying a poly relationship...

How sad...

And they always manage to have the SAME flaw... somehow.

It's like those authors got together and conspired against me as a reader.

These authors seem to want to write an MM love story, but for some reason, they add a female character in the middle. A female character who serves no purpose except make me feel like she's wearing out her welcome...

It makes me soo000oo0 uncomfortable.

I mean, if you follow this story, you will see that Isabel was a third wheel.

She was an inconvenience, really, in Hunter and Drake's love story. Two men who are SOULMATES (Hunter's words) and they figure it out later in life when Hunter finally "comes out."

Like, why was Isabel there? I'm so confused...

Literally, why write a throuple when all you want to do is write an MM?

Why do it? To annoy me?
Well done! You've succeeded then.

And another note, the worst thing, Isabel was like a cheerleader, lol. Rooting for Hunter (her husband) to get together with Drake...

Girl, are you stupid? Blind? Can't you see you're not wanted?

Things were sooo unequal.

I mean, seriously, remove her POV, and the story will be the same, I am not being funny... seriously, try it.

It was so obvious Hunter and Drake wanted each other waaayyy more than either of them "loved" Isabel.

Pool gal.

But at the same time, she is very pathetic for not respecting herself and staying in that mess.

There were other things that annoyed me, like Drake blatantly saying he could never settle down with one gender, cause he would cheat with the other...

Oh, lovely... I love me some negative bisexual stereotypes!

And the fact Drake and Isabel went weeks without having sex because Hunter wasn't there, but Hunter and Drake slept together fine when Isabel wasn't there...

I mean, you could tell it was because the author obviously wasn't in this business to make us readers connect with Drake and Isabel and make them explore their "connection..." too.

And the fact that Drake and Isabel never really "fell" in love in this book, neither did Hunter and Isabel though, especially since the author made the husband and wife's love story predate the book's events.

Telling me Isabel and Hunter are in love was not enough... especially since you spent the entire book showing me how Hunter is in love with Drake and wants Drake... so...

So the only true love story that I read was between Hunter and Drake.

So, this book is miscategorized as MMF.

It's MM.

4 ⭐️ You will 100% open your bedside table for this one 🥵

Sara Cate does it once again!

Absolutely loved this story and the characters. Watching Hunter grow and learn to accept himself was lovely! Isabel is the biggest sweetheart and so perfect! And my lord, Drake. What a man! The relationship that blossoms between these three is beautiful, sexy, and real. 💕

The sex scenes were amazing. Whether it was Isabel and Hunter, Isabel and Drake, Hunter and Drake, or all three, they were written well, detailed, and extremely hot! 🔥🔥🔥

I didn’t really love how the focus was mainly on Hunter and Drake at the end and only seemed to include Isabel when it came to sex. I just wanted a little more from her. Also, the epilogue too HEA for my taste. I won’t spoil it but when you read it you’ll get what I mean. haha

The Salacious Players Club is honestly one of the best erotica series out there and I’ll be patiently waiting for her to give me more. 😉

Give Me More is definitely my favorite of this series! I was so curious how this author would do Hunter and Isabel’s story and the road trip aspect, the emotional stuff on top of the steam, and of course, Drake thrown in- made this story fantastic.

Well, it was a book. Give me 36 hours and I think I’ll forget everything about this except for the at times concerning presentation of bisexuality.

i know the purpose of this series is to have a little bit of a taboo included (book one was a girl and her ex bf's dad, book two was a step brother and sister), and this book seemed like it would be a pretty normal poly relationship.... until it's dropped in that the main guy basically stalked the main character when she was 17 and he was 23 because he thought she was so hot. and then he took her virginity after her 18th birthday. and then they get married and have a happily ever after. what??? i know this is insignificant within the plot of the book because it has almost nothing to do with that other than the fact that they're currently married, but it was a really gross detail that could've been edited out and left a bad taste in my mouth the whole book.

but putting that aside, i otherwise enjoyed this. there was a great split of action and romance while also bringing in some pining and deeper themes like exploring bisexuality and overcoming being raised by a homophobic family. i also like that this had road trip vibes and was very sex positive since the whole backstory is that these guys work for a sex club.

at times, especially in the beginning, the writing could be a bit cringy, but it smoothed out over the course of the book and i ended up finishing it in a few sittings. this one might be my favorite out of the series, but it still had some lacking features, like how i wish these kinds of stories could be told by men rather than women, especially since she included the f-slur in inner monologue.

the final book in this series is about a woman who is a dominatrix to her friend's son, which is where i think i have to draw a line and wave my white flag. but this series is fun and quick if you can stomach the above tropes

i'm very conflicted, i wanted to love this book as much as i did the first two but it lacked. even though it was advertised as (mainly) drake's story and him sleeping with his best friend's wife because he would do anything for him, the story was "exactly" that only to some extent; it tried to tackle more with hunter's internalized homophobia without actually showing the process, only telling. and the fact that the major "moments" for him like him having sex with a men for the first time were portrayed through the only female's pov didn't sit well with me, not have it being seen in "flashbacks" or even talked about between the two mmcs, just briefly mentioned. yes, this is a poly relationship, but the majority of the book was centered on isabel only to have the rushed third act conflict be about the "need" for the closeted man to come to terms with his sexuality and yet again, not showing him deal with it, just screaming at his bigoted abusive dad's grave after two months of being apart from the rest of the throuple. and the biggest slap in the face was at the end learning that drake, that was openly bisexual and free about it, had never actually came out in the performative sense of the word. not that it's a requirement or he forced hunter to do it per se, but he gave him an ultimatum.

“Maybe the reason my marriage is so sacred to you is because you’ve always been a part of it. And maybe what I’m asking you isn’t so crazy, after all.”

Please forgive me. I hate when a book doesn't work out for me. I truly wish I could love all books, but unfortunately I can't. 😭

I was so completely over the moon excited for this book. MMF/Poly is my fucking jam. It started off with such good potential, I was enjoying it, but it got lost somewhere along the way. Like the other books in this series, I loved the premise, the idea of them, but the actual execution falls flat and leaves me feeling disappointed.

- Isabel felt like a third wheel. IMO the relationship really read like Hunter being in love with Drake, and Drake being in love with Hunter, but both of them caring about Isabel and not wanting to hurt her feelings. It felt more like MM+F than an actual MMF throuple dynamic. The bond between them felt off.

I ignored the obvious favoritism for the most part, but this moment fully gave me pause.
“I’m almost there…don’t stop,” Isabel calls out, and I feel a wave of shame that I’ve been so focused on him, I barely considered her pleasure.

He just completely forgot she was there, because Hunters hand grazed his dick??? HE WAS LITERALLY INSIDE HER!?

Then after they do get to their "HEA" they just constantly sneak around behind her back so they can be alone together. At least that's how it is implied.

“Get hard for me. We only have a minute.”

We don’t sneak around because she doesn’t like us being together, but times like these, when we should definitely be doing something other than making each other come, we figure it’s best not to flaunt the fact that we are.

They also do something similar in the bonus epilogue. Which once again has me questioning, why this wasn't just MM? I don't mind them being alone together, I encourage it, but being in a poly relationship it should never have to feel like sneaking? It just made the act feel dirty and like they were doing something wrong.

I personally think Isabel should leave these clowns, but I digress.

- The entire conversation Drake had with Geo left a bad taste in my mouth
“But if you’re wondering if I could see myself settling down with a man…” I shrug. “Yeah. I don’t see why not.”
“You wouldn’t miss pussy?”
I nearly choke on my beer at his bluntness. As I wipe my face, I consider it. Would I? “Umm…”
After a few minutes of contemplation, he smiles. “I’ll take that as a yes.”

But we could have totally taken this moment to educate Geo, right? Hahaha, no. Instead Drake just replies
“If it’s any consolation, I think I would miss dick just as much if I settled down with a woman.”

This whole interaction had me looking at Drake's entire character in a different light and it makes me sad.

- Hunter and Drakes first time through Isabel's POV
This was a fucking choice and a very weird one. If the book was only in Isabel's POV this would make sense, but in a multi-pov and you didn't choose Hunter or even at the very least Drake? 😬

- Hunter's character in general
I struggled with him the most. He does a lot of really shitty things to Isabel and Drake. As much as I wanted to connect with him, I couldn't. His past trauma is glossed over and the resolution to all his issues is him leaving for 2 months and yelling at his dad's headstone. Then he just goes home and it was like he never left.

I wanted to love this book and these characters with my whole soul, sadly it didn't work out that way. Personally I don't think I have it in me to finish this series after this either. 💔

Overall Opinion: This was enjoyable and probably one of the best mmf romances I've read! It still had some things that didn't work for me, but I appreciated the struggles they experienced in starting a poly relationship. Those struggles helped it feel more authentic and not just super easy with no internal conflict like many of these books seem to be. I just wish we experience some more of the development of feelings. Instead we were thrown in with the three already loving each other and maybe not realizing it. I did appreciate how the author had times that focused on the h and both Hs individually, the Hs together, and them all together. The ending was sweet, but I didn't download the extended epilogue to get more closure because I just hate that tactic by authors (even though I'm sure it's effective) and I'm stubborn 🙈

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Isabelle, Hunter, and Drake's story. When they are traveling around for ideas to add to Hunter's sex club, Hunter realizes that he would like to watch his wife and best friend having sex. This comes as a big shock to everyone and the trio is incredibly close as it is and they all fear that they could ruin their strong relationships as they are by crossing this line. There is some big baggage they have to work through, some hot sexy times, and some sweet moments...and they get a HEA ending.

Point Of View (POV): This alternates between Isabelle, Hunter, and Drake's POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Good. I never skimmed and I thought it flowed well.

Instalove: No, but they already had strong feelings when this story began.

H1 (Hero #1) rating: 3.5 stars. Hunter. I liked him, but he had some major hang-ups that he really needed to work through and he sucked at communicating.

H2 (Hero #2) rating: 3.5 stars. Drake. I liked him, but I think he was also bad at communicating and added to the problem a lot of the time.

h (heroine) rating: 3.5 stars. Isabelle. I liked her. I appreciated how she cared for both of the Hs, but I don't think we got very deep into her character.

Sadness level: Low. I didn't cry or need any tissues.

Push/Pull: Yes

Heat level: Hot. They have some hot tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story.

Descriptive sex: Yes

OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) drama: Yes

Sex scene with OW or OM: No

Cheating: No

Separation: Yes

Possible Triggers: Yes

Closure: This ends in a a good place with what I would call a HEA ending and the author offers an extended epilogue with a farther glimpse into their future (I didn't read it)

Safety: This one is probably either Safe with exception or Not Safe for most safety gang readers depending on personal preferences

I had a really fun time reading this. It was smutty, it was kinky, and I was into it. —- I flew through the first 60% or so pretty easily and was having a great time - but once we got later into the story and Hunter had to start figuring his shit out, I started having some issues with the dynamics of the relationship because at times I felt like certain people were either being used or cast aside… but I’m not very familiar with poly relationships and I’m not exactly sure what the norm for these types of situations are… so what do I know? — but I think I wouldn't have minded a little bit more clarification on the dynamics of the whole thing. I feel like it was very up in the air and they all just did whatever felt right in the moment - but I wouldn't have complained if there was a conversation or two just clarifying some boundaries on what was and was not okay. Even if the characters were okay everything… as a reader who is pretty new to these types of things, I would have liked certain conversation to happen beforehand - rather then them being open about what they each did with each other after the fact.

I also really didn't like everything that happened with the third act conflict and felt like it could have been figured out in a different way (also one of those ‘what can we/can’t we do’ conversations that I kept wishing for would have been helpful right around there) but whatever… like I said - I had a really fun time reading this in the moment… but when I sit and think about the details of how certain things played out, I start getting confused about how I felt about it - so overall 5 stars for in the moment enjoyment - but 3 stars for my iffyness on the details of the actual story… so I’m rounding it out to an even 4 stars
