Interesting read, but I think it could have sacrificed being exhaustive to allow a bit more time spent on the science and mythology. More of a reference than a read.
What a sweet book this was. After a brief introduction to stars and what they are, you get an in-depth guide to the 88 different constellations, how to find them in the night sky, as well as their mythology or history.
A perfect introduction to our night sky for those unfamiliar, and a great reference book and source for the seasoned stargazer. Each constellation has fascinating information relating to it, and I love the mythology sections. I will certainly be bringing this with me on my travels!
This book is fascinating! I loved reading it and will definitely be using it as a reference guide in the future. Can’t wait to start doing some stargazing 💫
I liked the mythology sections for each constellation, some of the constellations were a bit boring (microscope, triangle etc) but it was easy to understand for someone who is new to star gazing!
A lovely little catalogue of the constellations not just giving the deep space objects located within, but also delving into the history and mythology of all individual constellations.
