I love this book so much! Especially Posey, she’s the kind of heroine that I’m always looking forward to read in any story.
She doesn’t lower herself just because other people think she should and especially not in front of Brent.
I love how the author is bringing so much reality in this fictional story and the characters are so reliable. All the banter, emotions and “drama” are so on point and many times I felt like I was there with them, like in reality and I was part of that story.
Brent messed up a lot but he accepted his mistakes and redeemed himself as best as he knew. I love that in a character and I hope I’m growing up my son to be that type of man in the future.
Lattes and orgasms are surely a great way to spend your free time in between exams.

Loved it so much and can’t recommend this story enough!

Read this book on Wattpad as well as an ARC reader and when I started it was hard to stop.
I have to say that I liked it even better now them when I first read it, more character building especially for Brent!
I love the story between Posey and Brent, while they both have strong reasons not to be in a relationship, you completely fall in love with them and their very laugable sexual banter. And you will definitely be rooting for them!!
If you want to read a series that will give you a warm family with completely different characters but all very compelling in their own way, then reading this Bellerive Royals serie is certainly recommended!! Wendy Million writing style is very readable and compelling!!

I’ve already read this story multiple times & I love it every time. Anything you can read from this author should move to the top of your reading list.
The characters in Olympic Crown are 100% relationships goals.
Posey is the BFF you always wanted & her bonds w the women in her life are enviable. Following her & Brent’s story from both of their perspectives is heartwarming & you can’t help but cheer for them.
Plenty of hot sex too! Do not start reading this unless you have time to binge. You wont want to put it down.

This is one of the more realistic fake relationship stories I have read. You can see how the feelings shift even when they are trying not to have it come to fruition. Having an ex girlfriend who is bitter is also realistic. I feel with then. I became their biggest cheerleader. A great story and the other characters were perfectly introduced to move to the next story. Which I absolutely cannot wait. Follow this author as she takes us through the journey that is Bellerive.

When I received a free ARC of Olympic Crown, I went through the reviews and I was very surprised how most of them were 4-5 stars. At first I assumed it was a fluke, but after reading it, I completely understand.

I loved this book. I loved both characters, Posey was funny and snarky and Brent was your... typical endgame boyfriend from the very beginning, for the most part.

I think my favorite part is that the book was longer than most rom coms I've read recently. It took its time in developing the relationship between Posey and Brent and their fight and even making up. It wasn't rushed or sudden or insta-anything.

The two of them together were also very funny and had great chemistry.

Wooowee! Hot, hot, hot! I may have burned my fingers and eyeballs! WOW! What a fun book!!!

Fake Crown by Wendy Million was a fun book that brought me out of my reading slump. Don’t get me wrong. I was still reading but, since the first of the year it was not with the same enthusiasm. I’m rating this book a 5 star and I’ll tell you why.

This book is not what you would call a literary masterpiece. It probaby won’t have a place among the classics. I don’t think Wendy meant it to be either. Brent is one of the main characters who is training for the Olympics and has six years before he retires. It doesn’t leave him much time to have a relationship since he is also in college at Northern Michigan University. (Michigan is my home state and another reason to love this book.) Posey is the girl who answers his post on the campus chat looking for a date to his friend’s wedding in Bermuda.

I really liked the characters. They are much younger than me but, I was still drawn into the story and cared about what was happening. Believe me, there is a lot that happens. There is enough loving in this book to take it to the moon and back. If, you know what I mean. So, if you don’t like that kind of thing…be warned ahead of time.

I enjoyed that I was also watching the winter Olympics while reading this book. It comes out in time to order it so you too can read Fake Crown during the Olympics. They tell us about the sacrifices the Olympians make to be there and the time involved in training. You get some of that in this book and the drive that Brent has as he readies for competition.

I read The Donaghey Brothers series by Wendy and I totally fell in love with those books. If you read that series, if you like sports and especially Olympic sports and you like romance even if it isn’t clean, you will want to pre-order this book NOW! I’m already looking forward to book two. This is the first book of four in the Bellerive Royals series

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. Opinons expressed in this review are completely my own.

Posey is the queen of sexual innuendos and Brent is an Olympic swimmer. I’m a chance encounter these two instantly feel the fire. And this book is so full of fire! Fake relationships aren’t usually my favorite trope but this one I couldn’t put down. Posey had me cracking up and Brent made me swoon. “Lattes and orgasms” might be my new favorite tag line of a relationship. Romantic, steamy, and funny….Wendy does not disappoint!

I was surprised by how much I really liked Posey and Brent. After Sebastian and Natalie, I knew to expect some angst and misery, but we don’t have the petty tactics between Posey and Brent. Instead, we have two people who went from fake to real and are trying to deny it’s THIS real for them. But when a vicious mean girl sinks her teeth into a blatant lie for public consumption, can these two make it, or are they destined to be nothing but a fling?

Brent definitely messed up a few times. And while that made me angry, it was also realistic. I mean, most guys would rather ignore the issues swirling around if it isn’t directly impacting them, so he felt like just about any man I know with his desire to ignore it all. But when he finally got his wake up call, he kicked his grovel game into high gear and went on a mission to dispel any and all rumors, lies, and deliberate misconceptions. And for that, I had to like him. A lot. Because if a man can wake up, see what’s going on, and do his best to fix it, he’s a winner to me!

As for Posey, she had her reasons for seeming flighty and flirty. And they were good reasons. The problem was that her personality made it easy for Brent to forget that hearts and feelings were involved, so when she was disregarded after pointing out just how hateful thing were getting, she did what she had to do in order to protect herself. And I didn’t blame her one bit. No one wants to feel insignificant or be dismissed simply because another doesn’t wish to acknowledge what is happening. But Posey was also the master of forgiveness once efforts were made and proven not to be one shot deals. And I especially loved how she didn’t back down. She knew her worth. She knew she deserved better. And she didn’t see a need to make herself smaller for the comfort of others.

I look forward to the next book in this series because I loved time with these two. I’m pretty sure Nick and Julia will give us a lot of misery, but I’m ready for it.

After reading the blurb for Olympic Crown, my curiosity was piqued. I decided to take a gamble on it, and I am so glad I did. What an enjoyable read! My reading slump is broken at last.

Posey is incredibly funny and full of life. She is super extroverted and makes friends everywhere she goes. She does not, however, do serious relationships. She is the polar opposite of me, but I couldn’t help admiring her candor and easygoing manner.

Brent is a bit more like me: private, driven, and focused. He keeps to himself and concentrates on his goal to win Olympic gold. It turns out Brent can also be very sweet and romantic when his sights become set on Posey. Sigh.

The plot was interesting and entertaining from the very beginning, with just a touch of heat and a touch of drama. After the first couple of chapters, I found it nearly impossible to put the book down. I am completely invested and feel like I am still left with questions about what will happen in the next six years leading up to the Olympics. I hope we will get glimpses of Posey and Brent in book two!

ARC review

The novel is a dual POV, light #romcom. It's a fast pace novel. I liked that the character development and change in feelings is very genuine and beautiful to read. The main characters share a loving and positive relationship and also with their respective friends and family.

Posey's witty comebacks and innuendos are soo entertaining. She is a chirpy and yet a strong headed girl (which was new for me). Her love for Bellerive is a next level patriotism ❤.
And Brent! He is a dream come true boyfriend/book boyfriend. He's protective but acts a bit ignorant at times. Although he's perfect for Posey and knows how and when to pay 😏

The story follows Posey Jensen, the 'friends collector' and Brent Faulkner, the Northern University star. They sail through different priorities in life, past experiences, a crazy ex girlfriend and a lot of lattes.🥤

Some tropes to look forward to: #grumpysunshine #fakedating #sportsromance #newadult #collegeromance

There are some other pairing(s) hinted in the book, which would be great to read. Really looking forward for other books in the series.

Posey is so unapologetically open and honest. She’s such a fun character! It’s cool to see a girl who isn’t all about having a boyfriend. Her and Brent are so unique. I love their storyline. Funny, romantic and just enough sports!!

4.5⭐️

This is the first book I've read by the author and it will not be my last one. I'm definitely following this particular series. I already loved this first book. I absolutely Posey and Brent's story. I couldn't put it down. I loved their witty banter and back and forth. The chemistry between them is undeniable. I loved Julia's no filter, take no shit attitude and all her punny puns *winkwink*. It's an all-around entertaining story IMO.

I can't wait for Nick and Julia's story already!

Oooof the feels this book gave me! A perfect fake dating book! I loved loved the dynamics of Brent's and Posey's relationship. How Brent managed to soften Posey's stone heart and Posey managed to make everyone laugh with her innuendoes. Her innuendoes were probably my favorite part! She's like a ray of sunshine! So lively and so so happy!. The heartbreak part! I wasn't ready for it! It sucked to see them apart and I did let out a sigh of relief when Brent came to his senses. His wooing actions made me feel so many many butterflies! The bang, bang, bang baby - part has me always smiling! Like the complete book is so so adorable!
The plot is perfect! The world building! The side characters are amazing! So so excited to read about Nick and Jules story (because I didn't read it on wattpad 😅)

But you guys please read it!!

Brent and Posey's story is amazing. Neither into relationships for their own very different reasons, they discover you just may be willing to make some adjustments for the right person, without giving up your dreams. Lots of intense feelings, and flirty fun.

Posey and Brent's journey pulled me in from the get go! I really liked the unique way these two were brought together and getting to see how things would play out. I enjoyed getting into both of their minds. I loved the chemistry between these two and how both characters made me feeling so much!

I also enjoyed the Olympic swimming aspect of it as well!

With Fake Crown, Ms.Million has created such a great read that'll grab your attention and make you feel so much! I so can't wait to dive back into the Bellerive Royals world with the second installment, Scarred Crown! 💙

This was my first book by this author and I loved it. Posie and Brent weren’t like your normal couple. They were so much better. Posie will crack you up with her innuendos and wittiness. Brent was perfect for her. You can see how much they grow throughout this book.

This book was so good. It was filled with laughter and an all around wonderful feel. There were a few times when you were on the edge of your seat for the characters but it was such a down to earth, true to life story. I can’t wait for the next book to come out. This book shows that following your dreams and your heart is always possible.

Swimmers body whats not to love

I love Posey, truly outgoing, take no prisoners until it becomes unbearable, totally puntastic, a beautiful soul through and through, the writer made it flow beautifully, I couldn't find any fault with this book, apart from Val but she played her part really well, totally psychotic, dillusional, the sex was off the charts, recommend.

ARC review

I have been reading lots of either sci-fi or fantasy lately, and while those books included romance, it wasn't the main interest. When I saw the blurb, I was intrigued and to be honest in need for something light and funny. Even before going into a more lengthy review, I can tell you it was both.

Both characters were pretty great, Posey especially. To be honest, that girl seems way too good to be true. I don't know if I got Mary Sue vibes or if it's just me wishing to be more like her, but sometimes I was just reading and thinking: "Has she got any faults? She's just plain awesome and I can't find anything else to say about her". Anyhow, she's super easy to like and follow, and most of the time, even if I'm a die-hard lover of dual POV, I was just anxious to get back to hers. Though it was quite nice to get to see the view from someone witnessing how great she was.

The romance itself went a bit fast for my slow-burn tastes, and when I think about the timing of the whole thing, it seems overall fast. But we also get to see lots of details so that might be why. It's also a college romance, so there is that. It's been a while since I've read one of those, so I might just have forgotten about that aspect of those kind of romances.

The best thing in this entire book for me was how real (except the whole timing thing) it felt in terms of behaviors. As in they actually talk. Sure, there are some assumptions, and the plot isn't far off from a typical romance book, but things go forward and the misconceptions are treated through eventually talking about it. I can't get into any more details without spoiling the book, but to me it just felt more real, more realistic, even if you know, royals and Olympic swimmers and all that.

The thing that I didn't like so much is the sex. Listen, I absolutely love the sexual innuendos, and really don't mind sex scenes or scenes referring to sex. To be honest, sometimes I even look forward to them, and can be quite pleased to read them. But to me it seemed like sex was literally there in most of the chapters, in some way, and I just grew tired of it. Like, ok, we get it, lots of sex, good sex, off-the-chart great sex, and so on. It wasn't erotica, so I can't even tell you that, just that it's referenced all the time, and at some point I kind of just wanted to skip those parts, since it wasn't what was helping the plot move along in my mind. But that just be me.

All in all, still a good light romance novel that I'd probably recommend. Try it out and you'll see.

I have to admit that I really HATED this book at first. Posey is incredibly open about everything. EVERYTHING. She has made the questionable decision to join up as a plus one for a wedding with a guy she doesn't know at all. I wouldn't recommend this for the average college woman, but Posey is Posey, so it is all going to work out. Posey has a gift for immediately becoming bff with everyone she meets, a useful quality to have when you are plopped into a social situation with a bunch of strangers for a weekend in Bermuda. Yeah. Bermuda. That's the sort of world we are entering here ... one where college students can jump on a plane at the last minute for a trip to Bermuda without a problem. My issue with Posey is that she jumps right to a level ten of sexual innuendo with this guy that she has just met. Sure, it's superstar college swimmer, Brent, who everyone knows, but still ... I wasn't a fan of this banter. Who talks this way in real life? Maybe after you are well acquainted with someone, but after ten minutes? I don't think so. It was super off-putting for me. I didn't really like her or this weird feeling relationship at all. When you start your convos so explicitly from the get-go, there's not a lot of room for this relationship to grow, so we head right into level ten physical intimacy almost from the start. Boring. But it's all okay, because neither of these two do relationships. Well, Brent does, but he is all about superficial basically physical relationships. It's all he can do with his Olympic training. Posey had a bad experience that has apparently scarred her for life for some weird reason, but she's also determined to live in the fake island nation of Bellerive that she loves so much, and they don't let lots of non-citizens stay there, so she can't get serious during college. yada yada yada One thing leads to another. They decide to do a "fake" relationship for a couple of weeks to throw off Brent's psycho ex-girlfriend. And before you know it they are in love. End of story. Mostly.

But here's the thing ... although I didn't really like this story at first, by the end of the book it had grown on me a bit. You have two people who were committed to not being committed, but they found themselves in a relationship that worked. I did enjoy seeing them behave more like normal couples you might actually see in a real life situation. W. Million could have made a nice enough little YA novel if the book had focused more on the development of the non-physical connection between Brent and Posey, but as often happens in these stories, the focus fell on the physical connection, and, like I said, this is soooooo boring in a story. And lazy in the writing. But if you are a reader who is all into a book of physical chemistry found on every five pages, this might be the book for you.

I am sure I grabbed this story because I thought it was a royal romance book, and I can be a sucker for the story of love between royalty and commoners, but there's no royalty in this book. Posey is royal adjacent, connected to the royal family in Bellerive, but not a royal herself. That made this book just another college NA romance book, and as far as that goes, this was pretty weak. I finished it, so there's that, but I don't recommend it. Two stars. It was okay.

This book opens just before Thanksgiving weekend. Posey isn't going home since all her relatives are away from their island home, Bellerive. Staying on campus isn't a big deal Posey will find something to do. Her new friend Monica sends her a link to a campus chat that folks use to announce parties and the like.

We get a glimpse of Posey's sister Julia and the Royal Brothers Alex, Nick and Brice as she tells Monica about her home. Then we learn of her crush, Brent Faulkner. His mother was born in Bellerive but the family moved to the US when she was young. Brent is on the university swim team and an Olympic swimmer with his eyes on beating Michael Phelps’ medal count. He trains constantly and his girlfriend posts something every day. However, today her site has been quiet.

True to her word Monica sends her a link to the group chat with a nod toward a sweet weekend getaway. The poster needs a plus one for a wedding in Bermuda, pay your own flight but everything else is inclusive. Also doesn't want any drama on this trip. He's hashing out details with someone when she replies simply "I'll come".

Brent has broken up with his girlfriend and has no intention of going back. All she wants is pictures, the sponsors she can gather using them for her platform and him in her bed.

Posey's no-nonsense response to his plus one for wedding chat he assumes she's a guy and she does nothing to dissuade him from that opinion. He's in for a shock when she shows up.

At the airport after a really fun bout of banter and Brent clarifying what he expects should Val show up they board the plane. They don't sit together so the banter and innuendos reignite in the cab on the way to the hotel.

Lots of fun and eyerolling there and they actually start to enjoy each other's company. I think the absolute best is that he hasn't looked her up online. When he explains about the wedding and the attending celebrities, she's more than a little amused.

There's a lot of fun and increasing sizzle as these two get to know each other even better.

Predictably, Val does show up at the wedding as the plus one of a distant cousin. It's then that Brent decides he needs Posey's help even after they return to school.

Once back at school, things heat up even more. Val doesn't like taking no for an answer either.

There's a lot of character growth here and plenty of humor around it all.

I am already starting the next book in this series.

All she wants is orgasms and lattes. All he wants is her to be a buffer between him and his ex. A fake relationship with benefits may be more real than they planned.

Brent Faulkner is an Olympic swimmer who wants no more drama or distractions in his life. He doesn't have the time to dedicate to a relationship. Enter his clingy ex, Val, who only wants him for who he is. So a temporary fake relationship is formed with the candid and sexy Posey Jensen to fend off the ex. As they start to spend more time together, Brent discovers slotting Posey into his busy training schedule works better than he expected. But convincing Posey to make it real is going to be a challenge.

Posey is a woman of many layers and a "friends collector". She's an extreme extrovert who has no problem expressing her feelings. Boyfriends are not her thing, but when her crush, Brent Faulkner, gives her an offer she can't refuse with no strings attached she accepts wholeheartedly. Until lines start to blur and feelings get involved.

It's refreshing to see a strong young woman who knows what she wants. Posey is the girl I wished I'd been at that age. She literally charms the pants off of Brent and then plays hard to get. They have very different dreams and valid reasons for not getting attached so I was keen to find out how their new deal would play out and it didn't disappoint. Brent is a loveable book boyfriend with sexy and heartwarming moves to melt the stone-hearted Posey. When they both realize that compromise and the right person can bring happiness, it's a whole new ballgame for the young lovers.

This fast-paced college rom-com is hilarious, passionate, and full of durable characters who are willing to take a chance on love while not sacrificing their dreams and aspirations. I can't wait to read more from this author.

Thank you to Ms. Millions for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.

All The Emotions

This book has popped my W Million cherry and it did not disappoint. I finished this book in less than a day. It enraptured me from the beginning to the very end.

I could not have fallen harder for Posey Jensen. She is every bit of the joy and free spirit we crave to be at times. I love the way she was written. And I gotta admit, she’s totally me at that age lol, and even now. If it was an Olympic sport, we’d be tied at first for gold! She is like your favorite spicy dish, tastes good to the last drop!

And Brent! Gosh I want to bonk him on the head first. Now I’ll let Posey kiss and make it better. He’s so focused on the future that’s he is going to miss what’s right in front of him. Gotta love a man that plans, but his newfound life brings out the best in him and I can just picture his soul all bright and happy. *bonks him again* just good measure.

Another thing that makes a good book are the supporting characters. They are key because if a reader loves them, they will read every coming story with them. I need more of the swimmers and roommates to show us an inside look of what’s to come for all. Add in the steaminess that Posey and Brent bring and I’m stored up till Christmas!

Great job Million! Going to read the rest of the series to get my fix! Wonderful story of two people finding everything they never knew they always wanted.

This was my first read by this author and well I was in love with her writing, her characters and this story so much. Its a fake dating romance between two people who don't feel they want a serious relationship.

Brent is a swimmer who is very serious about it. He has a girlfriend but only because she accepts that he mostly ignores her. But he gets fed up with her and dumps her and then posts online that he has a plus one spot open for a wedding date. Posey is bored and decides to be his date and she is all about fun. Posey charms Brent just as she charmed me. Then they decide to carry it forward to get rid of his ex and I was all in. This story was seriously so fun.

One issue in this book is that Brent and Posey have very different dreams and that's why neither plans on getting attached or falling for each other. Brent discovers that if you are with the right person they can accept you but also your dreams become theirs. And Posey whose dream is to go back home, well she discovers that home is where the heart is but also love can make compromises.

This was a wonderful story about two college kids with BIG dreams and aspirations who find each other and learn that love is so much bigger than dreams and that anything can work if you want to make it work. It was a wonderful story with a little Angst but also lots of heart, love and friendship.

I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I have to say that I never saw this book coming in my wildest dreams as it was just that fantastic. It's also so realistic that it was like reading about a real couple of my friends (or me many years ago) to be honest. Posey does her very best to avoid relationships which I totally understand LOL! She's also one of those girls who gets her kicks from crazy thrills which I also understood. So basically, Posey was me many years ago LOL! She learns that someone needs a date so she volunteers, and it turns out, Brent will throw her world into chaos. He's totally focused on his swimming so he doesn't have the time nor the inclination to be in a relationship these days. He truly thought Posey was a dude, and he never saw her coming. These two have a connection that they're pretending doesn't exist at all, so it was fun watching them fumble their way through. Brent is the average guy despite the fact that he's an Olympic swimmer, and made some mistakes that ticked me off a time or two, but the thing about Brent, once he got his head out of his behind, he manned up & groveled like a pro. There's more detail to this story but I've said enough so you'll just have to hit those one click buttons to experience all the goodness! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
