Mysterious and tragic, Madame Tan’s menagerie is the only home I’ve ever known. It’s a place where two worlds merge, a twilight zone between Earth and the magical Kingdom of Nerifir.
The menagerie is filled with fantastic animals, but I discover that Madame captures and displays sentient beings too.
One of them is locked in a crate day and night, not seen by anyone, and one day I learn why—looking at him kills. Even talking to Kyllen is forbidden, but I break that rule. I break many rules for him.
He wants his freedom and offers me a chance to escape Madame’s cruelties.
Little do I realize that with Kyllen, my heart is in even greater danger than my life.
Can I love a man whom I can’t even see?

“I promise that no matter where I am or what I do, there will always be a place for you beside me. For as long as I live, I’ll do everything in my power for you to have a roof over your head and food on your table. And should I die before you, you’ll have the right to everything I own for the rest of your life.”

Man, that cover really did me dirty.

Not that Serpent's Touch is a bad book, mind me, it's just not as good as the cover suggests.
For one, the concept behind it is interesting and new, at least for me, but it lacked substance and was painfully underdeveloped.
I had great expectations about this story, and saw them stall one by one as the story progressed.
This was my first time reading a gorgonian/human romance story, and I had no idea what to expect, but it definitely wasn't a completely gullible and emotionally immature FMC and a MMC whose libido lit up like his ding-dong has a switch.
The romance between Amira and Kyllen could have been packed with chemistry and with enough steam to last for years, especially with the whole "I can't look at you" thing, that could have helped create a phenomenal and sexy build-up, but...it was dull. And sadly un-sexy.
Basically...I needed more sparks and found none.
Unfortunately, MMC went from treating FMC like a lost puppy to worshipping the ground she walks on and throwing innapropriate innuendos her way.
I'm not gonna elaborate my thoughts on FMC being a recluse virgin who's never been kissed. That's not her fault, of course, and it was tied to the plot, but I didn't like how she suddenly turned into a bombshell the moment Kyllen put his snakes hands on her.

In terms of plot this was okay and I liked the managerie setting we got to see at the beginning.
I had some trouble deciding what time period this took place in and it turned me off a little.
Overall Serpent's Touch was fun but I'm not sure I'd touch any books from this series again.

Amira and her Gorgonian!

This was my first book into the forays of Madam Tan's Freakshow. Even though there have been other books before this one, I didn't feel like I was hindered by not reading any of them before this one. I can see where some of the other characters are probably tied into their own story but it didn't detract in anyway from this one.

I really liked this fantasy world, with Fae and Werewolves and many different mythical creatures. We have Amira the orphan one of Madame's werewolf slaves took in as a little girl, and the gorgonian Kyllen who Madame had kidnapped and is trying to force into her show or die.

Amira is lonely, living a thankless life as Madame's personal slave/maid and favorite whipping post. She doesn't even have a room or bed, sleeping wherever she can find a place in the attraction's tents. One day lying behind a crate Amira overhears an interaction she wasn't supposed to. She learns that in the crate she's hiding behind isn't an animal but a man being held hostage with food and water being withheld. Torturing him and possibly even killing him agonizingly and slow.

Marina Simcoe takes us on a journey in this first part of the Serpent's Touch, where Amira and Kyllen grow close. Spending their nights talking and bonding through shared loneliness and trauma. Amira knows she is breaking Madame's rules by giving Kyllen water but she can't bare to see him die. And when she hears plans to kill him she knows it's now or never to take a chance at a real life with Kyllen or stay in her miserable existence. It's a leap of faith since Amira's never even set eyes on Kyllen and any slip up could mean her death. The bond they have seems real and deep, let's just hope things stay the same when they find a way back into the Fae lands of the Gorgonians.

I really enjoyed this. I've never read a story with a medusa like character and am intrigued on how they are going to overcome the obstacle of never being able to look into each other's eyes. I hadn't paid attention that this was only the first part so was very bummed when things ended in part one, just when it was heating up. Part two comes out next month so I'm happy I won't have to wait long to see what happens to Amira and Kyllen and how their relationship progresses. The Fae lands hold all new dangerous and treacherous obstacles they're gonna have to fight through. I can't wait to see how it all unravels.

Even though this was an ARC review, I will always shoot you straight. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A male gorgon and human romance?
The two slowly fall for one another before even seeing each others faces while being stuck in a magical menagerie?

I have to give the author credit for a really interesting idea and unique world-building. Good idea, but lackluster execution. The relationship, dialogue, and conflict are forced and poorly drawn. There are sweet and interesting moments but it felt like it needed something to anchor it to reality, which I know sounds funny because it’s a fantasy. I suppose it just felt basic to me and the romance got awkward in places. But it was fine to pass the summer hours.

A carnie befriends a male medusa and they run away from the circus. (See what I did there?)

The medusa thing means she's either blindfolded or they have to avoid making eye contact like two awkward teenagers, but it's kinda cute. I see the potential for maximum spice, but everything is mostly chaste so far.

I have concerns about why there's a whole book after this, because it feels like the story is already 80% done. I guess I'll find out if the second book is rewarding at all? please 🙏

Edit: yes the second book owns

**3.5/5 stars**

For a book titled Serpent's Touch, I found that there was a serious lack of touching haha. But I have to say, I LOVED the concept. A gorgonian and a human who can't look at each other and who fall in love despite that was something I'd never read about before.

Amira grew up as a servant in Madame Tan's Menagerie. She quickly learned to do what is asked of her without fail and to stay out of the way when she is not needed. One day, while hiding herself, she witnesses Madame talk to a gorgonian chained in a crate, trying to make a deal with him; become her new VIP act or die from thirst. Deal that the creature refuses, sealing his fate. Amira quickly takes an interest in the gorgonian (Kyllen), disobeying Madame's order by giving her prisoner food and water. Her kindness earns her a new friend, someone to talk and listen to. And to Kyllen, Amira becomes his only hope to ever escape the menagerie. Will he be able to coax her into helping him?

Amira was a sweet and kind young woman. I liked that she wasn't meek per say. Too often, this type of character ends up grating me because they have no development. It was nice to see her become braver over time, fighting her fears. Even with all the abuse from Madame, she kept going. She truly was a strong young lady. Growing up around people who didn't care about her, treated her as if she was nothing made her feel extremely lonely. Meeting Kyllen helped her real personality come out and shine, little by little. She was a bit clueless about love in general, was a bit slow and oblivious when Kyllen was flirting with her, which was cute. A likable heroine.

“Why have you never told me how beautiful you are? I was a fool, fantasizing about [escaping] the crate. When I could’ve spent more time envisioning you.”-Kyllen

I was a little bit scared at first that Kyllen would just manipulate and use Amira's loneliness to escape. I didn't want him to fake being her friend and to let her down. Being a fae, a bit of manipulation was to be expected, but I was glad to see that he also quickly became attached to her. He loved talking to her, he needed her and cared for her wellbeing. I believe he is the one who fell in love first while Amira is still trying to understand how she feels (mostly because of her unfamiliarity with friendship and love). I think Kyllen's desires and intentions are fairly obvious by the end of the book. I liked that he was protective and how he truly cared about Amira. I liked that he was truly touched by how much she trusted him.

“I promise that no matter where I am or what I do, there will always be a place for you beside me. For as long as I live, I’ll do everything in my power for you to have a roof over your head and food on your table. And should I die before you, you’ll have the right to everything I own for the rest of your life.” As he spoke, his voice hardened, gaining a gravity that sent chills down my spine. “May I spend the rest of my days impaled on a pole in the Garden of the Cursed if I break this promise.”-Kyllen

Their relationship was really interesting to me. The fact that they couldn't look at each other created a special dynamic. I didn't feel like much happened in the story because the main danger was the risk of Amira looking into Kyllen's eyes, making her turn into stone. Of course, there was the abuse from Madame but that didn't really play a big part in the plot all that much. Everything mostly revolved around Kyllen and Amira talking to each other, telling stories, etc. It felt a little bit slow at times due to that.

Had there been more touching, I would've given four stars. I just felt like overall, not much was happening. In my opinion, there wasn't enough focus on the romance. Well done but I was expecting more. I felt a bit starved for romance at the end of the book, and the intimate scene didn't feel enough for how long I waited for it to happen.

Would I recommend this book? I think it's important to mention that even though the blurb mentions 'graphic description of intimacy', it's not a erotica (well in my opinion). If you are looking for really intense stuff in that department, like I was, you might be disappointed on that front. BUT, I think the story in itself is entertaining even with its slow pace. The concept is original, the characters are well written and I will most likely read the next book in this duology (even if the reviews for it mention that the main characters are apart for most of the book). I'm curious to see how Amira is doing in Nerifir.

This book started off really well. Super interesting plot, great characters and some very nice romantic tension was building.

However, it unraveled quickly! The MC went from an abused, almost childlike character to a "lady" with perfect manners and speech. She had been living a sheltered life, being horribly abused, but we are supposed to believe she can transform into this elegant woman overnight? The author tried to cover it by making her act insecure, but it didn't work.

She also didn't give us enough reason to believe the hero could actually fall in love with our heroine, and the chemistry I was hoping for fizzled away before it even sparked.

Also, the usage of cutesy words made me want to gag.

As this book hasn't debuted yet, I will try to keep spoilers to a minimum, but that said, a spoiler warning is in effect.

As soon as I saw the teaser for this book, I knew I had to read it. It checked quite a few boxes for me: captive hero, abused heroine, and forbidden romance. I also love the idea of a Gorgonian (medusa-like species) not only because of how dangerous it makes our hero, but how complicated it can make any relationship he were to have with a human. It was also a refreshing change to the "typical" fae or other supernatural creatures.

One thing you HAVE to know going into this book, however, is that it is a duology -- that means there's a pretty steep cliff hanger. While it was definitely a good stopping point, things are by no means resolved and I found myself frustrated that I couldn't just keep on reading the story from that point.

There were a few things that I didn't care for -- such as a minor (non-sexual) scene of forced public nudity, and I will admit, I'm not sure how I feel about the logisitcs of the Gorgonians snake-like appendages on their heads. There was also the issue with the wording of a promise that was made, which I picked up on during the initial read. I'm not looking forward to the situation that this wording is likely leading up to in the second book, but that is an issue for a future time.

I did, however, very much enjoy the way that the romance developed. I loved that things started off as a bit of a manipulation, where our hero was very obviously just using our heroine in order to escape, and yet by the end their connection was unmistakable.

Overall, this was a very enjoyable, easy read, with lots of UST and one lovely steamy love scene.

I am very much looking forward to the conclusion when it comes out.

A very solid 4 Stars.

the blurb sounded amazing, but the execution left something to be desired.

beyond the immaturity of the writing itself, the way that the characters are portrayed is just so unnatural. it's like the author has never met another person before.

my biggest complaint in this respect is the way that the dynamic between the ML and FL is so obviously forced.

during chapters with the ML's POV, for instance, every single thing that the FL says is met with internal praise from the ML. like, she gives the most generic response ever to something, and then the ML's like, "wow, she's so intelligent. she's too sharp for her own good." which would be fine if he just thought that once, but almost every time she says something, he has that same monologue. or she asks a basic question and he's like, "wow, her THIRST for KNOWLEDGE is INSATIABLE." i know this seems like such a nitpicky thing, but if you read the book, you'll see it—and it's obvious that the author is just grasping at straws for reasons for the ML to admire the FL. the fact that she's saving his life can't be enough; she also has to be a pure, innocent angel who is intelligent and curious and loyal, etc. i know the author is trying to create a romantic dynamic, but i feel it could be done sooooo much better, especially because the premise is so interesting. i love FLs who save MLs, and the idea of her not being able to look at him is so compelling, but it all just falls flat here.

don't get me started on the dialogue itself (cringy and forced) or the fact that the ML calls her stuff like "little one." barf.

also, i know the FL is supposed to be sheltered and naive or whatever, but i'm having a hard time believing she's in her mid 20s. she acts like she's 15 and i can't get over it.

Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Plot/Storyline: 📖📖📖
Feels: 🦋🦋🦋
Emotional Depth: 💔💔
Sexual Tension: ⚡⚡⚡
Romance: 💞💞💞
Sensuality: 💋💋💋
Sex Scene Length: 🍑🍑🍑
Steam Scale (Number of Sex Scenes): 🔥
Humor: Yes, a bit
Perspective: First person from the heroine and third person from the hero, separated by chapters (more heavily on the heroine’s focus)

(These are all personal preference on a scale of 1-5 (yours ratings may vary depending what gives you feels and how you prefer you sex scenes written, etc) except the Steam Scale which follows our chart from A Love Less Ordinary )

Should I read in order?
This is book 1 but make sure to read in order as it’s a direct continuation to book 2. This book ends with a happy for now, not a full HEA.

Basic plot:
Amari has been a part of the Madame’s menagerie selling tickets since she can remember. She befriends a new addition, a gorgonian, that can turn you to stone with just a look.

Give this a try if you want:
- Medusa feel – the hero is Gorgonian – a fae race that can turn you to stone with a look and has 24 senties (snake like appendages) on his head
- sci-fi romance – the world of Nerifir and Earth are connected through portals and species intermix from both worlds
- Low steam/slow burn feel – only 1 full scene here but some decent build up
- You’re okay with a few content warnings like slavery and imprisonment

Ages:
- Heroine is 24/25, hero is 78

My thoughts:
Okay everyone, know that I went into this with bottom expectations. The cover grabbed me, that hood bringing to life all my assassin’s creed steamy fantasies 😂

The beginning was definitely slow and I kept waiting for something to happen. The world building could have been better, I think. I’m still just not sure what we have here. Earth and Nerifir used to be the same? And the portals connecting them?? Perhaps this is explored a bit more in her other series, Madame Tan’s Freakshow? I’m not sure.

I wasn’t expecting a huge amount of character depth here, and I didn’t get much (it’s a shorter book and really I just wanted to explore some monster sex 🙃 ). Amira doesn’t really know her background. She was rescued by Radax and just keeps being abused at the Menagerie. It provides the perfect escape when she meets Kyllen.

Kyllen had some little glimpses of sweetness. He’s really protective over Amira and I really liked that.

Overall though, not a lot really happened and I got annoyed by some of the plot/writing – the pet names were a bit much.

A decent start to a series or a story. I believe it is going to be duology but could be extended. I must admit I haven't read the original series of Madame Tan's Freakshow series but it is in the same universe and this is the story of a keeper of the menagerie. I don't think it is necessary to read that prior to this since it didn't hinder my pleasure of reading this but I am certainly going to read Madame Tan's series next.

This book has been in my radar since it’s release but I was waiting for part 2.
What an absolutely delightful book it was.

It was addictive, entertaining and I finished it in one sitting.
Hero Kyllen was the highlight of the book for me. He was special and Unique stolen from his world in another realm. But he never once lost his courage and fought to the end.
Heroine Amira had such a difficult past and present. Quite contrast to hero’s lavish and luxurious palace life. She was uncertain, timid and so so lonely. I loved how she slowly rebelled and found strength to help hero and herself. Their friendship and connection was beautiful. But every page I turned, I was scared for Amira.

The world building is fantastic. But what stood out more is the writing. The author had a way with words that bring forth so much emotion. The way she described both world was insane.
Thankfully it doesn’t end in cliffhanger I’m so excited to read the next book.

Recommended, kindle unlimited and safe.

Noooo! The novel ended way too soon! All that build up...

Amira, a shy young woman who was raised in an menagerie, one day encountered a Gorgonian. Think Medusa, but male version. He was captured by Madame Tan's men to be part of her menagerie. Amira was captivated right away. She quickly formed a bond with him and now she is his only hope of freedom.

Love the story and all the tension and build up. My only complaint would be the pacing. I only wish it was a tad bit faster. Other than that, it was a great read. I can't wait to get my hands on the second novel.

Also for those thinking this is some kind of erotica or steamy book, it's not. At least for now. Not sure what the second novel have in store.

***I would like to thank Goodreads for hosting the giveaway and Marina Simcoe (the author) for graciously sending me an ARC to review. As always, all thoughts are my own.***

I loved this story. Serpent's Touch was a slow burn romance that had me captivated with the characters and engrossed until the end. The author did a fantastic job with world building creating these unusual yet intriguing mythical characters in Madam Tan's freakshow. This story followed Amira, an orphan girl living a lonely life as Madam Tan slave/maid and Kyllen a Gorgonian, Medusa like character, kidnapped by Madam Tan.
The story takes us on a journey with these two as they slowly begin to know and trust each other and its interesting to see how their relationship progressed as Amira can never look Kyllan in the eye as he can accidentally kill her.
This is a tale of friendship, trust, love, danger and risk and gives us so much emotion. You will easily fall in love with these two characters and will be rooting for them throughout the novel.
This is the first part of Amira and Kyllen’s story, and it ends in a happy for now cliff hanger. I can't wait to see how this well written imaginative story continues and I would highly recommend it to lovers of fantasy romance.

Loved that book !

It's a mix of fantasy and contemporary (I wouldn't say urban fantasy, but close to it). The story is about a goddess rejected from her magical world that opens up a menagerie of fantastical beast. The FMC is an orpheline and one of her many slaves. One day, she hides behind a crate and realised that a Fae is in there. He's a gorgonian (a bit like Medusa). He's the son of a high lord and was kidnapped in Lorsan, another world (medieval fantasy universe).

There was a hugeeeee plot hole in the story (spoiler alert) : we learn that some slave of the goddess are able to go in the fantasy world through a portal and come back without problems. But THEN Amira and Kyllen go through the same portal and can't control where and when they will land in Lorsan ? 🫣

Apart from that, the story made sense and I LOVED the romance. Amira is lonely, and the way she connected with Kyllen was so sweet. I loved that they can't really look at each other (or she will turn to stone). They bonded through their shared trauma and personnality, which I liked a lot.

Kyllen is an amazing character. I fell for him after a few chapters. I just loved how the author portrayed the Fae. Amira was also a pretty good heroine to follow. She was naive, but not stupid, and I hated the goddess for how she treated her. She broke my heart 😭

I'm not sure I will read the sequel. The first book doesn't end on a cliffhanger, and I liked how their relationship blossomed. So if you are looking for a quick read, this one might do the trick !

Sooo I read this to get myself interested in reading again because I was just having an off week and this successfully did what it was intended to do.

This is such a nice read. I loved the worldbuilding and the way that these two characters meet. It was wholesome while also being somewhat depressing. The way this book went I was not expecting which is a good thing. I loved the tension that started to arise and wish that this book was way longer because I was soooo invested in their dynamic. I think the ending was rushed a bit and I do wished we had stayed in the human world a bit more.

Would definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys paranormal romance!

I’m not sure if it’s because everything I have read lately has been SO so good or what — but this was hard to even finish 🥲 I’m not a fan of super innocent wimpy tiny little FMCs, so that was strike one.
Strike two was the switching of perspective and 1st person to 3rd person?? Literally makes no sense??
This needed to be gone over and edited again tbh. Also why did they go to a parallel universe/land of fae and everyone just spoke English?? I am confusion there are so many plot holes

Strike three… This was suuuuper slow and I also don’t understand how the MMC went from wanting to use shorty to get out of the scary Madame(goddess lady?)’s clutches and then was like, super in love and calling her sweet pea when literally their only bonding was him telling her about himself…. For like 150 pages. Also idk his little snake hair things…. I’m good on this one LMAO

I heard the next book is much better but idk I am not into this at all and any book where a man says “she is so beautiful and she doesn’t even know it which just makes her more beautiful” just isn’t for me. I hope the next book I read is about a slutty, man-eating bimbo.

Well, I read this a second time and very much enjoyed it, in contrast to my first review from a couple of yrs ago. Just shows how mood can affect enjoyment of a story.

I did try the second volume and did not go for it. It had a OTT plot turn for the fMC that messed it up for me. But volume one was good, this time around. It's why I do re-read some books I've not liked, in case my feelings change.

***********
First Review:

I have to confess I didn't read 90% of this book. I didnt care about anything but the relationship between the MCs, which I found enchanting. I ended up picking a keyword and searching through for it then popping in on the book but backing up a bunch of pages to ease into the context.

Currently, the next volume is on pre-order. I'll wait till I can read a sample.

Simcoe has a fascinating story starting to unfurl in Serpent’s Touch. The intriguing character here is the hero Kyllen. He’s a gorgonian, and his monstrous ability is that anyone looking directly at him turns into stone. This play on the ability of Medusa and her sisters drives this story of how Kyllen works with a human, Amira, to escape the clutches of Madame Tan and her freakshow of genuine monsters from other worlds here on Earth.

Amira is a bit of an enigma in Serpent’s Touch; she’s human, but she was raised by the freakshow staff, so she hasn’t gone to school, doesn’t have friends, and suffers from the cruel abuses of Madame Tan. Kyllen has somehow been captured by Madame Tan, but by not agreeing to serve her, he’s been left to starve slowly. Amira takes pity on him, and this desperate fae creature and this human who’s craving any kind of lasting interaction begin to form a bond.

Simcoe’s story is a curiosity; it’s sometimes hard to judge if Kyllen truly cares for Amira or if he’s using her to achieve his ends. In the same way, Amira’s lack of any experience in relationships makes It hard to determine if Kyllen is right for her. This book is basically a cabin romance in its intense focus on Amira and Kyllen; the other characters are there to service the story of their growing interactions and bonding.

Readers should know that while Serpent’s Touch reaches a strong point of conclusion, its story is by no means complete. There will be another book that looks to finish the story. So if you’re someone who wants to read an entire story at once, you’ll want to wait until this second book comes out to do so. I’ll definitely be back; I’m truly curious to see where Simcoe will take Kyllen and Amira as their journey continues.

Amira is raised in a menagerie with Madame and her creatures. She is the only human at the menagerie. She's basically alone, only Radax is her only family. Yet, Madame uses their connection to hurt Radax. Amira can't bear it anymore. When she stumbled upon a crate filled with a dangerous creature - that is going to be starved, her heart goes out to it. On the sly she slips the male creature water. She is weary of him, rightfully so! She saw what he did to the other bracks!! He tells her tales of growing up in his land and how much fun he had growing up there, and how he ended up with Madame Tan. Then he asks her to help him, to set him free, and to go with him. Can she? Should she?

Being in a crate, left for dead because he wouldn't give Madame Tan - ex-Goddess extraordinaire - what she demanded. He never would! NEVER! So he'd die in this crate. Until, Amira. She brings him a cucumber, she brings him hope, she brings him water. Amira is a fragile human, that Madame abuses at her whim. Kyllen hates it and wants her to help him escape and go with him. He promises to keep her safe. He promises to keep her with him forever. Will she take the step and trust him? Or will he die alone in this crate?

Ahhh, this story was great. The characters were great. Amira and Kyllen - LOVED! You could feel the love grow between them, the trust, everything. This is my first book by Marina Simcoe, but not my last. I'm patiently waiting for book #2 in this series and it's true - waiting is the hardest part. I can't wait to find out what happens between Kyllen and Amira.

Hmmm… not bad but not great either. I like the fantasy aspects but the romance wasn’t all that good. Cliche dialogue and unearned intimate behavior. The plot was good though! I enjoyed that part of the book.

Also, I expected the second book to be better that this one since that’s what all the reviews seem to say but nope! I like the plot points that were hit in the second book but the actual execution of them .. no.

3.5 stars

This story was sweet and cute, but I wish it had been longer. I wanted more development from Amira and Kyllen's relationship. Hopefully that will happen in the next book!

Idk where to start with this one. I enjoyed it, it was okay. The heroine was a little too meek and mild and shy for my tastes. I know she has been sheltered and basically a slave her whole life but she is just completely naive to literally everything. The hero swoops in and pretty much takes advantage of her good will and naivety in order to get home. He makes sexual advances and sexual comments throughout the book and it just felt icky. Maybe because one minute they'd be talking and he would be overcome by his lust and make a comment and her response would be "huh, what are you talking about?". It felt gross. He wasn't even overtly sexual often or pushy or anything but jeez, have a conversation about this stuff first before you're touching her nipples with your tentacles. She is so innocent (even though she is 23 or so) that it felt wrong. There was one extremely short scene where she is brought to orgasm for the first time in her life and she didnt even know what was happening. Otherwise this book isn't steamy. There was no real sexual chemistry because she doesn't even know anything about anything and doesn't even understand her own body's reactions. I did like the idea of a male medusa. I enjoyed the book. But it didnt feel romantic or sexy or like a romance (even though it ended with a HFN)

Marina Simcoe fantastically entwines us in Kyllen and Amira’s burgeoning friendship and adventures in Serpent’s Touch, first book in her River of Mists world.

I was enthralled with all three of Simcoe’s Madame Tan’s Freakshow Trilogy books, and Serpent’s Touch draws us even deeper into the danger, and devotion, that can be found behind the workings of Madame Tan and her evil collection of paranormal beings.

This story is an emotional gem, that has your pulse climbing and your heart soaring. Amira has been introduced to us, previously, but this young woman is my hero!

I got such a visceral and emotional connection reading how Amira and Kyllen create a murky bridge of trust, furthering their devotion to the other. Romantic, in a creatively simple, yet complex fashion.

Serpent's Touch is a miraculous and original story, reminiscent of an ancient romantic fairytale. It has every emotional ripple, that works so well together, reading it gave me the intellectual opportunity to float down that misty river of pure pleasure.
