Tomorrow's End’s plot was interesting to read but there seems to be multiple saviors and each has a story within the book. Kevin is the human savior, Daren is the changeling savior and the Dragon. The story was a bit tedious to follow as it went back and forth in time and the perspective was changed. The book was divided into parts that told the story of each savior and their role in saving the world.

Kevin’s mother was the victim of physical abuse. His step-father William was a ruthless man however, his mother Sara tried assuring him that he had a bigger purpose. He was going to save the world, but first, he needed to escape. Plagued by a reoccurring dream, Kevin plans his escape. Kevin never thought aliens were real what he witnessed shake him. He arrives at home and sees his mother on the floor, shot. In a rage, he shoots his step-father and is taken to the police station where he recounts his activities to his lawyer. The book takes on a different turn and the author shifts the setting. Robert meets with a council where he reminds them that Kevin is the one prophesied about. He will be the savior and Robert has a police operative that will help him get to Kevin.

The book has violent narratives but isn’t described with gory details. The author’s writing was vivid and the descriptions of the aliens, the landscape, and features add to the enjoyability of the work. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the authors writing style. The book is written with style and flair and is well-paced. I lost the trajectory of the story a couple of times while reading but the momentum of the narrative was steady.

"At the center of the city was a diamond palace surrounded by an enormous tree, its trunk an endless tower of light. Filling the sky were its branches like transparent tentacles covering a beating heart, shivering with countless faceless creatures swimming through rivers of words and forgotten images.”

The book is not your average alien invasion storyline, teens of both genders with an interest in alien-themed science fiction will find this to be a very interesting read.

Fast-Paced Blend of Dystopian Fringe Sci-Fi Fantasy

What a phenomenal entrance in this first installment of The Path of a Savior book series by G.R. Morris. Tomorrow’s End is a dystopian sci-fi fantasy novel that takes readers out of this world. The fast-paced storyline is inspired by fringe science and extrapolates upon socio-political themes. We learn of the protagonist that is tasked to time travel to the past in order to save humanity from its dystopian reality in the story’s present, which is depicted as technologically futuristic and slightly materialistic with a splash of vulgar dark humor. The characters we meet are unique, mysterious, and exciting. Learning more about them intrigued me while on the other hand I also felt disconnected from them, as if there was little to relate to at first. Being that the story is fantastical, the characters were also alien-like in description. Often times their behaviors struck me as odd yet that is what made them so intriguing, the characters were not predictable by any means. What really impressed me in this novel was the writing. The descriptive writing by Morris is exemplary. A test of imagination that beckons readers to keep up with the depiction of each scene. I really enjoyed the descriptive portions of the book even more than the dialogue. To me the novel read a lot like a screenplay, I could certainly see this book series adapted into a movie. Creatively written, engaging characters, and a fantastical plot is the perfect recipe for an enthralling series. Excited to see how the second installment unfolds.

Tomorrow’s End: The path of a savior by G. R. Morris is a graphic tale of the rise of Earth’s savior, a teenager named Kevin. He is forced into the throws of many battles and guided by Robert, a reptilian demon, who challenges Kevin as to the future of earth. Kevin must decide to listen either to Robert or the voices inside his own head. Hell threatens to destroy Earth, and thus Kevin must battle dark forces and demons in order to save the planet.

This book is very graphic and gory. The descriptions of the battles and creatures were incredibly detailed, but there is a lot of violence as the characters fight demons and darkness. Kevin, who ironically is afraid of the dark, has a troubled past, as so many heroes do. Robert forces him to think about how choices link all beings together, and I found that concept to be intriguing because I wasn’t expecting those topics to be covered in a sci-fi adventure book.

My favorite character in this book was Daren. She is searching for Kevin, but is a force herself. As a changeling, it was neat to see her powers develop throughout the story, and I would consider reading the next installment just to see what her future holds.

Overall, I found the book to be packed full of philosophy, gore, violence, and action. It was quite an intense read, and at times difficult to follow. I’d definitely recommend it for sci-fi fans, as long as they’re prepared for the gory descriptions and intricate story-line.

I am usually a fan of science fiction and this book seemed to promise a great ride, sci-fi with a huge dollop of philosophy thrown in - a perfect balance for me. What I had missed was that this was horror and full of 'chilling violence'. So be more prepared than I was! From the minute you start you are thrown straight into the action, the opening scene setting the tone of gore and torture that continues throughout the book.

Kevin is the reluctant saviour, who is destined to save humanity in a world that is slowly being swallowed up in darkness. I found the book quite hard going as it switches between characters and timelines, getting quite confused in the first part of the book as to how the stories linked together, and the purpose of the different characters. The themes of evil and demons isn't a new one but the author uses it very effectively in this book.

Ultimately this book wasn't for me. I found it confusing and the level of gore stomach churning, acknowledging that this was somewhat my problem, not the author's! R G Morris has crafted a fast paced, creative and exciting story. Those who can cope with such a gruesome read and enjoy the complexity of switching timelines, you will be in your element!

Gripping plot

Tomorrows End by G.R. Morris is the first installment of The Path of a Savior Series. It is a sci-fi horror novel following Kevin Knight, a “possessed Messiah” who has trained his whole life to save the universe, but has the rug suddenly ripped beneath his feet. This leaves him to realize that he still has to save the universe, but he’s completely unprepared for what that entails.
Morris’ writing is gripping. He is skilled in both characterization and character development. He makes good use of detailed imagery, particularly in scenes with violence and battles, giving the science fiction that darker edge. Overall, science fiction can be hit or missed because rather than creating a world, you’re creating a universe. But I think that Morris ties in enough detail and philosophical ideas to pull it off. I definitely recommend it to sci-fi fans.

Blend of high fantasy and sci fi

This was a great story, it was a blend of high fantasy in the vein of Terry Pratchett and Tolkien. And a Sci-Fi is in the style of the Matrix as described by the author. The Trope of the chosen one is very prominent in this book Kevin is the name of our chosen one here, and together with his two sidekicks or mentors he has to decide whether or not he will be able to continue his training and fulfill the prophecies. Will he be able to save the world or not? What I liked about the story is the great blend between the two genres, I also like Darren and robert. I actually liked the supporting characters more than I liked Kevin. What I didn't like was that it didn't seem that the author did much Beyond thinking of the world. Meaning his world setting and building was unique, but the underlining plot is a tried and true trope

light/dark theme sci-fi

Science Fiction novels come in all shapes and forms, but this one, specifically where it is self-published, takes an entirely new role and sets the bar high for writers. Like other science fiction reads, this one builds suspense with a magnitiude that is hard to explain, and captures the reader almost instantaneously. There is a light vs dark theme within the story and strong-willed character personalities to go along. Some parts of the story may be disturbing to some readers, but the depth of the premise is definitely worth it. I'm so glad to see that it appears the author has intentions of making this into a series, if not already something in the works, because I would definitely be interested in book 2.

An engaging and interesting story

Tomorrow's End: The path of a savior by G. R. Morris is an engaging and interesting story that was difficult to stop reading. Just by looking at the cover I knew this book would blow my mind, and I was not wrong.
With a great cast of well-developed characters and a plot that is promising from the very beginning, this book attracted my attention from beginning to end.
The only reason why I give it 4 and not 5 stars is because I believe it is a bit long. I would have liked some parts to be shorter. Anyways, this was not a strong point not to read it. In fact, I recommend reding it!

Great

“Tomorrow's End: The path of savior” by G Morris is a mind-blowing science fiction book full of galactic scale battles, violence, drama, crazy plot twists and developments as well as the exploration of the power of free will. I personally loved the character of Kevin Knight, who, as a possessed messiah, tries to fulfil a prophesy that is supposed to save the whole galaxy. It’s amazing how many hardships this character has to overcome and how many turns and twists he will encounter on his path towards doing what he has been training for all his life.
If you are into some crazy, fictional stories full of adrenaline and danger, then this is the right book for you.
