Things I know: my little brother is a dumbass who will in fact get me killed one day. He’s done a very bad thing, and when I find out what exactly it is he’s been up to, there’s only one person I can go to: Bryce. My on and off again lover is just about the only man I could ever depend on, and it seems that hasn’t changed, even if we haven’t talked in months. Things are a little messy between us now, but when his boss gets involved and I have to make a deal with his rivals, mafia twins Valentina and Don Giovenni, the situation only gets stickier.

Now I owe both sides a vague IOU I might not want to cash, and my brother is nowhere to be found doing God only knows what. I’ve always tried to fly under the radar, but now that the Giovenni twins have decided they like what they see, they’re bound and determined to entangle me in their own brand of twisted courtship. The worst part? My body, the treacherous hussy, is absolutely on board, no matter how hard I should want to kick and scream against it.

This series is planned as a trilogy, with Kitchen Table Poly dynamics-the heroine gets multiple partners who will be emotionally involved, even if not romantically involved with each other. It is MFFM, meaning there is an FF relationship. This book is a dark mafia-esque style book: reader's discretion is advised.

You can find a detailed list of content and trigger warnings on my GoodReads, or through my site. For best reading expereince: in app, dark mode is suggested.

Buckle up. Strap in. Hold on to something because this book is a ride and Ashley wasn't messing around..

Alex finds herself having to deal with her brother, Jaymes, and the trouble he's in. She immediately turns to someone she can trust and who is also extremely deadly. Bryce the Butcher. Alex is forced to grovel at the feet of the siblings who run PortCity, Don and Valentina Giovenni. She's willing to do whatever it takes to save her brother's life, and boy do they make it interesting. But Jaymes just can't make it easy for her, at all.

Two words. Daddy Bryce. This man will destroy you. His reputation should have anyone running for the hills, but holy hell he's something else. The intimacy between him and Alex is intense, and left me desperate for more of their story. As if Bryce didn't keep it interesting enough, Alex then gets tangled up with Valentina and Don. Valentina is a force to be reckoned with, but where she is demanding and controlling, Don is sweet and attentive. The three of them all give Alex something she needs.

This story is nothing like I've read before, and honestly that is so refreshing. Such a realistic take on romance and spice, and how it doesn't look the same for everyone. Alex is relatable in the fact that we all struggle sometimes with confidence and insecurities. But then can be a total badass or a complete brat when needed. I can't wait for more.

PortCity Killers… Let me just start off with a little heart-swooning quote:

Home smelled like sea salt and tasted like whisky. My peace would never come in the form of a house or a family the way others had. Home was thrusting inside me, spreading my thighs to make room for his body inside of mine.

Yeah… Damn, right? That’s all PCK, people. It’s a reverse harem romance WITH queer love interests! YES! You heard that right—Valentina is my new lady crush, and I will cut anyone who tries to take her from me. (Not really, actually. We can share, if she’ll let us…) I also really adored Bryce, who got to the little inside of me. He’s hot as hell and protective, *giving* (wink, wink), and so damn confident that he’s willing to share if it makes his girl happy. <3

This book ends on a cliffhanger, so be aware of that. Alex (the main heroine) touched a little on depression, and the way the author wrote about it gave me the feels. I struggle with mental health issues, and it’s not easy to capture issues like that in a way that feels authentic. Ashley Michele handled it perfectly.

To give you a little taste of Valentina (she had a lot of my favorite quotes):

…her reputation around PortCity was that of a tomcat. Smooth as silk slipping in and out of alleyways until you got too close to her tail and then she fucking erupted.

It was like watching a lion prance near you at the zoo. Even though you might have a glass window between you, you still couldn’t help but wonder if it might disappear at any moment. And what it would feel like to have those jaws closing down on your most tender parts.

“Men are not unlike wine: they’re delicious, and you can have them every day, but too much and you’ll lose yourself—especially with men like our beloved Don…Remember that.”

4.5, rounded up to 5 stars. I can’t wait for book 2.

I have never really read spicy genre books aside from the occasionally anime or Marvel fan fiction. I’m so happy I worked through my initial shame to give Ashley’s book a try!!

I found myself relating heavily to the main character Alex. She has a fierce devotion to the ones she loves and a bit of an attitude, which I really enjoyed, but the more heartbreaking aspects of her story tugged at my own mushy heartstrings and made her more realistic. Each one of her lovers are completely different from each other, but irresistible in their own ways. The kinks explored were right up my alley and I loved the representation of a plus sized queer Latinx woman getting down and dirty in her bratty submissive way. Daddy Bryce reminded so much of my husband that it’s been dangerous reading this book. Let’s just say it gave me a ton of ideas and my spouse has not been complaining one bit, but his friends who he plays COD with have not been pleased.

I am dying for the next book in the series. That cliffhanger had me freaking out!.

I had to take a few days just to be able to write this review because the book just... there aren't words. Between the main character being amazing, the hottest love interests ever, the spice and the ending!? I absolutely loved this book and I am desperate for the next one.
If you want a dark reverse harem with queer representation, this is your book.
If you want kink and spice galore, this is your book.
If you want a plus size main character that isn't written as a stereotype, this is your book.

So. So. Good.

This is my first written review on GoodReads and honestly I can't think of a more deserving book.

Ashley's talent is unmatched.

Her writing is that of a seasoned author. And I mean someone who has been writing for decades. You would never know this is a debut novel. The way Ashely pulls you into a story and keeps you there is a talent few authors have. Usually when I'm reading I can get easily distracted and skip around, but with this story there was none of that.

The characters, I can't even begin with how much I love them. Daddy will always have my heart.

Overall I can not reccomend this book enough. You will not be dissapointed reading it.

Drug use, mental illness, suicidal ideation, assault and
abuse, mafia, check author's warning, why choose?

Alex finds herself having to deal with her brother, Jaymes, and the trouble he's in. She immediately turns to someone she can trust, Bryce the Butcher. She's willing to do whatever it takes to save her brother's life, and boy does that make everything more interesting. But Jaymes just can't make it easy for her. Dammit this book🥵😍

I loved Daddy! I can’t wait to see so much more of him.

I couldn’t help but fall madly for Don either. He has a way about him that is so relaxed but powerful. You know he can lay pipe🥵

Valentina…well I just want her to use me. Please. I don’t beg often but I might for her. I hate her. I love her. I want her.

Alex is a lucky bitch. 😂

That cliffy!!

I can’t believe this is a debut novel.

When I tell you I feel BLESSED to be one of the ARC readers who got the opportunity to read this book! Y’all this is one of the best mafia style books I have read in a long time. The plot line is fast paced and full of emotions. I was angry at her dumbass brother but understood the pull to take care of people who don’t deserve our love. Daddy Bryce is fucking KING. I would give myself to that man in a heart beat. Loved the Daddy Dom/ brat relationship. It was written perfectly to fit the excitement of the kink. The brutality of port city brought out a new side to our MC and it was so thrilling to see. The combative forces of Don and Valentina is so enamoring. I think I can say I’m more into the care of Don but god damn this was so good.
When I tell you the cliffhanger has me fucking dying! I need more!
Cannot wait for the world to read this book and I absolutely can’t wait to see what happens in this series!

Received this a ARC but this is a fully honest opinion. I loved this book so much. I can’t wait for book 2. It is crazy that this book is a debut from this author there is absolutely no way. I loved Every single character and the way the story was written. The pace of the story was great I couldn’t put it down.

I was sold on the very first Yes Daddy. Say less! If that relationship wasn't enough of a panty melter then I was screaming (and moaning) at the next.

Solid mafia book with a fantastic spin on the usual alphaholes complex.

Ashley Michele hit a complete home run with this debut novel. This is a fast-paced read, but I'm in complete awe of the story-building and character chemistry that takes place.

Speaking of chemistry.. .there's a lot. Be prepared because it is hot, hot, HOT! Bryce is giving us all of the smexy daddy vibes and I'm LIVING for it. I mean every sex scene was downright sinful and tasteful. I couldn't get enough.

I'm eager to read book two :).

I'll admit: I have considered writing a one star review just to draw in the readers who look for those, because this book is right up their alley. It's hard to write a review that does this book justice because it has everything we can't mention in reviews if we want to actually see the review posted. So please use your imagination and fill out the blanks when I say this book is d..., t..., s..., k... and I hope you get the picture! Besides all that, the author also manages to write a decent plot and leave enough questions to make you wondering about certain characters and how they all fit together. This book is a single POV, and I think it fits with how the story develops, but I really wish I could see inside the mind of some of the other main characters...

I just finished this as a beta read and HOT DAMN was this good! This is Ashley’s debut novel and we are all in trouble - or at least we’ll wanna be. 😏😉
Seriously though, I can’t get over how much I loved this. The characters, the plot! All of it was fantastic and so well done.
This is a dark, why choose, mafia romance with hot, morally gray characters and a whole lot of spice

You ready for a rollercoaster? Sit down, shut up, buckle in and let’s ride! Spice, sexy time, crime, high rollers, violence, love, romance, thrills, chills, and so much more!

Ashley has written a book with a romantic story unlike any I have ever read. A woman (Alex) in love with a bear of a man (he loves her too! Aww). But then finds herself dating not just him, but two other high profile, take no crap, hard, and sexy individuals. Each more interesting than the last. I will admit, as a firmly monogamous woman, I struggled with this as the book presented it, but honestly? By the end, I was jealous. It’s pretty hot. Alex, the main character, seems to cherry pick who she dates to get exactly what she needs from each of them. The three complete her in a way I don’t think any one person could.

Alex is relatable, completely. Finding comfort where ever she can as she makes it through this thing called life. A troubled brother she cares too much for, a crap job dealing with crap people, in a tiny town no one thinks about. Yet she is an extraordinary woman, strong, resolute, caring to a fault. Despite her struggles, she continues to persevere. She makes her way through this life with a take no shit attitude and it gets her recognition in the best ways. She is 100% goals.

But let’s get to what we want, sexy sex sex sex. Holy sexy, holy hot! Holy crap! The way Ashley wrote the spicy portions of the novel (there are quite a few!) is so you can see, taste, smell, hear, and feel everything that is going on. It’s not Alex, it’s you. And it’s so sinful you can’t stop (though you may need private time after reading!). She gives just the right amount of details to make sure you know exactly what is going on, but enough up to the imagination you can still see yourself having some sexy time with Daddy Bryce. Oh Daddy Bryce…

If you like your romance novels on the dark side, this one is for you. It’s fast paced, tons of action, romance, sex, so much going on through the whole book, I was legitimately angry when it ended. Can not wait for part 2!

Everything I needed and so much more!!!

PortCity Killers is the first book in the PortCity Series and is Ashley's debut novel.

I have absolutely no words for how much I loved this book! Mostly because the majority of them wouldn't be Safe For Socials, but holy hell!! I have not been able to get this story out of my head since I first read it!

This book throws you straight into the deep end as our FMC, Alex, has to try and find a way out of the mess her brother, Jaymes, has once again got himself into. But trying to get him out of trouble only succeeds in pulling her more firmly into the orbits (and beds) of the very people she is trying to keep him away from.

I absolutely freaking loved this book!
It is extremely well written and I loved the plot. It was fast paced and had me hooked from the very first page.

I absolutely loved all the characters. The chemistry between them was off the freaking charts and I loved the way their different relationships developed.
Can I just have it on record that Alex and Daddy Bryce are #goals! And Don and Valentina? Jesus! Papi Valentina and her brand of crazy has me in a freaking chokehold, and I absolutely loved Don's calm energy among the chaos.
And the spice? Holy freaking hell!! Those scenes were so freaking hot and now live in my head rent free forever!

It does end on a cliffhanger (Jaymes will you ever learn?) and I cannot wait for the next book and to see just how Alex deals with the situation she finds herself in.

This was a fun book to read! I do not normally ready spicy books. I have found that majority of the time it’s just spice with no real storyline. An excuse for the author to put their fantasies and kinks out there if that makes sense. However, this book doesn’t keep you reading because of the spice. You really want to know what the f**k is wrong with James and makes you want to slap him for her 😂. I guess what I’m trying to say is that the story has substance enough to keep reading. So you may ask yourself, “Then why the four stars?” It’s because I know there is still growth happening here and character development is still happening. That being said I can not wait to see how they grow in the next book! The last chapter though, like WTH!? I didn’t see that coming! Just let me hit him once! 😂 @ashleymichele

The book starts off with Alex trying to help her brother who continues to get himself in trouble. She reaches out to the only person she trusts. Bryce is able to help and get information to try to clear her brothers name but also makes her promise to stay out of anything else in the future. Bryce has all the hot daddy vibes. After figuring out a plan she knows that she will need to do anything necessary but when she meets the siblings, she is instantly attracted to them both.

This is similar to a reverse harem but not all partners are with one person and is very gender fluid. This book was so good and oh man was it hot. The only thing that I would have liked was a little slower pace just to really get to know everyone but that could also come with multiple POV whereas this was single. I was amazed by how real she made Alex so relatable as well as plus size and LGBTQIA+ representations. The cliff hanger was rough for sure, but I can’t wait to continue the story.

Oh how I adored the writing. It was done so well, written beautifully and effectively. The story is dark and delicious and scintillating, with extremely well-written characters that each stands out, great character dynamics, and high emotional resonance. I loved being in the head of our protagonist Alex - it was super intriguing, providing an insight into her psyche and what lies under and the experiences that shaped who she is today. I was also really interested in Valentina, and how she navigates power in male-dominated society. The cliffhanger that the story ends on makes it all the more exciting, like the whole story was a rocket firing up and the ending is where it launches, and I can't wait to see where we are taken next.

FUCK. I have no words. Bear with me for a second.

First of all the spice 🥵🥵🥵🥵. Had me feeling like I needed to go and swim in the sea on a cold rainy night.

The descriptions. The wording. The language. The mixture of English and Italian and Spanish just added into the angst.

I'm not really one for the daddy kink, however, In this it just works. Alex, being the firecracker she is with the under the counter insecurities over her size, and the way Bryce just brings out the confidence in her like she's the best thing that ever happened to him.

So it's a reverse harem. Alex is a sub, and in trying to save her brother, ends up dating two of the most notorious gangsters in PortCity, at the same time as having Bryce the Butcher as her boyfriend. Although she is happy to date/sleep with others, her others aren't allowed to date others. I think this was probably my most highlighted book. I will share some of my favorite quotes on my bookstagram.

The descriptors in the spice, had you feeling like if you were quiet enough you could hear the breathing and feel the touch. And that takes pure magic. And the cliffhanger at the end where her brother kidnaps her leaves me itching for the next one.

Banging - (pun intended) Ashley Michele ❤

Holy Mafia batman! Make sure you have extra undergarments on hand when reading this. The spice is out of this world! Ashley Michele does an amazing job on getting you invested into her characters and the difficult situation Alex has found herself in. The story was well written and thought out and ended on a very exciting cliffhanger and left me wanting more! I've even ordered a signed copy of this book.

The book follows Alex as she tries to protect herself and her brother from his mistakes that could cost them their lives. When pleading her case to the Giovenni family Alex finds herself owing favors (something she never wanted to do in PortCity) to not one but two of the families that run PortCity.

Absolutely incredible

This book was excellent. It is a darker book than I am used to reading but I did not mind that.
Alex has lived a rough life and fixing her brothers mistakes has finally put her in a less than ideal situation.
Thanks to him she now owes some major players in the crime circuit. The Giovanni twins are known very well and Alex is now indebted to them.
Add her lover of many years Bryce and his boss to the mix and this story just gets better.
Now the cliffhanger at the end has me anticipating the next book.

Oh my god! There was times when I was reading this where I was flicking back and forth between and 3-4 star rating as despite really enjoying it throughout it didn’t always give me that ‘I can’t put it down’ feeling, but by the end I did most definitely have that ‘there’s not enough book left for things to work out here, oh god what’s going to happen..’ feeling and yeah, the cliffhanger got me so that’s why I went for the 4 stars. I look forward to the sequel!

There are plenty of things to like about this book: my favorite is undoubtedly the protagonist, Alex. As a character, she’s dynamic and easy to invest in. Her interactions with the other characters in the story are the supporting frame on which all the intrigues of plot etc. take place. For interesting characters, compelling chemistry, and a story line that you want to keep following, this is a good choice.
