Look at what I've done now.

I have a dead body to dispose of and decide to seek help from the only Bracken that I don't hate. I mean...it's not like I have a choice since my uncle is ghosting me and I can't get the police involved. To be fair, it's partly their fault I had to kill him anyway, so the broody, hot enemy in the cabin should step up.

He does, but refuses to retrieve the body until dawn, so I'm stranded in the middle of nowhere with a convicted ax murderer and one bed.

If only this was our biggest issue, because life gets worse from here when the lines between enemy and ally become blurred. And we're walking through a minefield, wondering who to trust and whom to kill.

Author's note: This dark, gritty New Adult Romance contains plenty of fighting, cussing, gangwar and explicit sex scenes. Preorder at your own risk.

Book 2 in The Kings of Cade series starts off exactly where the first one ended and all of the repercussions of what the Bracken Boys did to Zoi. Leaving her having very ostracized Moss & Bax from her life now. Even though they try everything they can to change her mind with little luck.

Coen is having his problems that dont involve the others for now but bring a few secrets to light. An unexpected turn of events and the gruff Adze does a complete 180 in this book. We get to see a different side to him in regards to Zoi. Which i really liked as well as their cutting banter together. It felt we got the time to get to know more about Adze which i kinda thought we needed. He was a source of stability for her especially with everyone either out to get her or use her.

The plot twists and turns were just killer in more ways than one. With that cliffhanger ending Ill be on tenterhooks until the next book comes out. im loving this series so much

This continues right where the first book left off. Zoi has been hurt by the Bracken boys but turns to Adze for help is removing a dead body from her father's house. She and Adze become closer after this experience, and because Adze was somewhat removed from Moss, Coen, and Bax in the first book due to not being strictly loyal to the Bracken legend, he is able to provide Zoi some stability and comfort. I really liked Adze's character here, because he was somewhat aloof and cold toward Zoi, he seems to understand the most she has been pulled in so many directions and never had control over her life. He shows he cares about her and doesn't want her to be hurt, even setting rules and being open with her. Zoi as well seems to have become a little stronger since the first book, standing up for herself and not taking everything at face value. She still is holding a shield around her heart for Moss, Bax, and Coen but is embracing this newfound relationship with Adze. We also begin to uncover more secrets about the boys' and Zoi's families. However, I felt most of this book everyone was left in the dark as they are slowly uncovering that there is a grander scheme happening. I feel like not a whole lot happens in this book as far as the overarching story of the Bracken vs. Mercer vs. Valencia rivalry, though we do get hints here and there. We also see more of Zoi's uncle, Callum, and I hope he doesn't do anything untoward in the the next book. That cliffhanger has me wanting to know what happens next!.

Picks up where the first book ended, with Zoi and Adze. This is an intriguing series so far. Well Zoi takes out her stalker then turns to Azde for help. Despite his hesitancy he helps her. Is this book Azde and Zou grow close, while her anger and hurt for the other Bracken pack dissipates she does not want to be with them. There is violence, action, anger, betrayal, secrets revealed but also more questions. Cliffhanger be prepared.

The author starts right out with a vengeance giving the character a dangerous and dramatic opening scene which sets the tone for the story. The drama increases as she has to make a decision that has repercussions throughout the rest of the story. Great storytelling. I can’t wait to read more.

A fun read!

The second book was definitely a wild ride. I really loved Adze and Zoi. Their new found bond and Adze opening up to her gave me all the butterflies. I really loved their love for nature and animals. I look forward to book 3.
