Great last book for storytime, or a good one for kids who don't like stories with too much text. It also has the lap-sit reading bonus of having sea turtle babies on almost every page! Kids will have a great time counting the baby sea turtles. There is a note at the end educating readers about sharing the beach with sea turtles, which was surprising to me because I didn't notice the sea turtles at all the first time I read it. Overall great book! Definitely one to read over and over again with kids.

This sweet beginner picture book only has a maximum of three words per two-page spread, but says so much more. The illustrations are warm and lush, depicting a black family enjoying a beach outing, playing, swimming, and being together. Alliterative words are great for vocab introduction, and the title would be easy to read aloud in a Storytime setting for babies and toddlers especially. An excellent book!

Super simple, with only a few words on each page, no full sentences. The little sea turtles on almost every page were cute, and came together with the author's note in the end.
