When the shoe drops, it always hits her on the head

Tessa Albertini has spent much of her life guest-starring in other people's stories. Her older sister is a type-A personality who creates opportunities like other people build hopes, and her younger sister finds trouble like it's an integral strand of her DNA. Finally Tessa's hard work and sacrifice allow her to open that restaurant she's been dreaming about since she was a young teenager working her butt off, regardless of the obstacles now slamming into her.

There's an advancing enemy who doesn't want Tessa to succeed in business, while Nonna Albertini is determined she'll succeed in love, no matter how much meddling it takes. Finally, Nick Basanelli, the most arrogant and sexy man she has ever met, zeroes his formidable focus into actually courting her—and that's before he discovers she’s in danger and morphs into overprotective alpha male mode.

While a family's middle child is supposedly a peacemaker, the world is about to discover that when pushed far enough, Tessa is willing to go to war.

This is an entertaining, well written, romantic suspense novel. It has a likable female protagonist, a sizzling romance, murder, mystery, intrigue, wit, a touch of humor, and the amazing Nonna. This is an excellent addition to the Anna Albertini Files series and can be read and enjoyed as a stand alone, but it is even better when read after reading the other outstanding novels in this series. I am looking forward to reading the next entry with great anticipation.

Tessa’s Trust by Rebecca Zanetti
The Anna Albertini Files series #5. Romantic suspense or romance as a murder mystery. Can be read as a stand-alone but don’t miss the other books. Strong female lead.
Tessa’s dream is coming true: she’s bought her first restaurant. Of course there are a few stipulations such as dating the previous owners three nephews within the first week but Tessa has it under control. Until a dead body turns up in the basement and Tessa may be a suspect. A second copy of the deed, a claim on the property and the missing seller, all has Tessa working with Nick and her extended family to clear up all the problems.

Romantic suspense with a bit of comedy and ultimately swooning at the hotness, this novel is a not-to-miss diversion.

Spoilers ahead, 2.5

Tessa is the middle sister of the Albertini girls, she's the older sister of Anna the h of the previous books in this series.
Here Tessa is finally chasing her dreams of owning her own restaurant, she's been waitressing at the diner for years and has finally saved up enough to buy property. Unfortunately as she signs the deed not only one but two deaths are connected to the property and the wife of one of the victims comes forward with a claim to ownership of the property....to make matters worse Sadie who's the only one who can say who she actually left the property too has disappeared. Not to mention the romance with Nick starts getting heated. Now Tessa may be living up to her name as the wild Abbertini girl

****"
In all honesty this did not work for me
The plot
Things kept happening one after another which somehow worked in Anna's books but didn't here.... maybe because of Anna and Aiden's profession and their pasts danger was expected. But here all the crazy just came across as eye roll worthy
Tessa herself was sweet and supportive in the previous books but also had the strength needed to support her sister. Here she annoyed me with her stupidity. Bodies are piling up, bullets are flying but noooo she keeps insisting she can take care of herself 🙄 like girllllll didn't you learn anything from Anna's shenanigans ?!
The romance ughhh Tessa and Nick gave been dancing around each other throughout the previous books. I figured by now they'd get their act together but nope she still felt they weren't a good match, the chemistry was missing and everything felt bland then i cahe across the little gem
*****“I know we can, Tessa. I’ve loved you for years,” he admitted. “I’ve watched you from afar. I’ve been around when I could be. You and I fit. You know that.” ****** ummm sir!!!!! You wanted her sister!!!! You kissed Anna!!!! You fought this matchup with all your might in the previous books!!!! You never pursued this girlll ughhhhhhhhh
Whew once again I failed on the who done it but even with the wrap up it still didn't mesh as the previous mysteries/crimes did
All in all I'm thankful the next book shifts back to Anna.

Ten years ago Rebecca Zanetti wrote a sweet and sexy romance series with a touch of mystery. That series was the Maverick Mountain Series. The Anna Albertini Series resembles that one, but with more mystery/suspense. Nick and Tessa have been dancing around each other for a few books now and it is time they finally got busy. Tessa is just as driven as her two sisters, and she feels she has a lot to prove because she didn't go to college. Nick is on the fast track out of their small Idaho town. But the sparks ignite, and the fire is hot.

I have been so excited to read Tessa and Nick's story and it definitely lived up to all my expectations. Tessa is fun and interesting and straightforward. She keeps her promises and will give people the benefit of the doubt until they prove her wrong. Nick is super swoony, smart, and just the right amount of serious to mesh well with Tessa's more impetuous nature. Their relationship has been coming for a while now (from previous books), so it felt completely right to have them act on their desire for each other. This was a fun, exciting read. I can recommend this entire series if you like romantic suspense, and don't miss the novellas in between. This one stands well on its own, though it does help to place all the other characters if you've read the previous books.

4.5 stars!

Book #5 in the Anna Albertini Files series moves away from feisty Anna, to her feisty sister, Tessa, in her own book which shows that she gets into just as much strife as her sister. With murders, missing people, granny investigators, a fish shooting (yes, really), and a long-awaited romance, this book is fun, fast moving, and had everything. I loved it!

After working hard her whole life, Tessa is one step closer to achieving her dream and has just bought her own restaurant. But almost immediately upon buying it, she runs into trouble when a dead body shows up in the basement. As if that isn’t enough, the legality of her purchase is questioned, and she’s also trying to meet one of the bizarre conditions of the sale which is that she go on a date with each of the previous owner’s three nephews.

Butting in on all of the above, ex-military man, now prosecuting attorney, Nick Basanelli seems to have had enough of existing on the periphery of Tessa’s life, and he throws himself all in to the protect her, finally declare his intentions and setting the stage for a fabulously fiery romance.

“You’re coming with me, Albertini. I’m done with this.” Without waiting for a reply, he ducked his head, and I flew over his shoulder to land hard, barely keeping my face from smacking his lower back as he started walking toward the outside door. Oh, he did not. Shock kept me immobile for several seconds.
“Hey,” Detective Grant Pierce called from the top of the staircase.
I planted a hand on Nick’s butt and forced my body up to look at Pierce with Nick’s arm banded across my legs to keep me in place. Had I ever been over anybody’s shoulder before?
“What?” Nick asked, not turning around.
Grant’s green eyes scanned us both. “You sure you know what you’re doing?”
“God, I hope so,” Nick growled.

It’s a fabulously fun set up, and the story moves at a quick pace with so much going on. It’s funny, sweet, mysterious and exciting, and as we see old characters and are introduced to new ones, I was trying to figure out just how Tessa was going to get out of the mess she’s accidentally landed in. Like her sister, Anna, she’s not one to sit back and let life unfold around her, and she throws herself into the action, leading to a wildly entertaining adventure.

The heart of the story comes from Tessa and Nick’s relationship. There’s been something between them for a long time, but both of them have big dreams, and Tessa isn’t about to give hers up for anybody. There’s a bit of back and forth, but Nick is a powerful force, and I loved their playful banter and bickering, and watching them find eventually their way to each other.

“I go on dates. I don’t get serious, and now I am. You’re completely in me, and I’m not letting you go, Contessa.”

Anna and Aiden make very welcome appearances, and the stage is set for eldest Albertini sister, Donna’s story with this epic statement from her presumed love interest…

Pierce’s chin lowered, and his eyes blazed a wild emerald. “Let me tell you, with full assurance, that Donna could be the perfect mate to me in every possible conceivable way, our romance could be written in the stars and blessed by the gods, and I would never, ever date an Albertini woman.”

Hehehe, what a read that will be!

This series is so much fun. Each book takes me by surprise with its wild craziness, and I have the best time while reading. This is such a great read.

4.5 stars!

These book are always a bit crazy but in the best way. The Albertini clan gets up to high jinxs and ends up pulling everyone into the mess.

This time around, just as Tessa's dreams about about to come true, there is a dead man in her new venture, her home been broken into and other people claiming they are the true owners of her new venture, making her wonder if a woman she thought she could trust, ran off with her life savings. The grandmothers get involved, always pushing Nick at her, who is a tempting treat for Tessa, then there are 2 different sheriffs that have to talk to Tessa about things, she had to bring Anna in, in her official lawyer capacity and Tessa manages to hone her matchmaker skills. So much going on, not all good. By the end everything is straightened out and Tessa has all sorts of new things in her life.

Okay, I am already a very well documented fan of Ms. Zanetti. The odd thing is that this week I just read two of her books back to back - each from a different series. They were both so very different - different genres yes. but totally different feels to them as well.

This is one of my favorite series from Ms. Zanetti. Why? Well, because it's funny and zany and does not take itself seriously at all. It is set in a small Idaho town with a crazy (Italian? I think, but I'm not sure I remember correctly) family and an even bigger extended family who just happen to be involved in each others business. Very involved. It makes me laugh with the craziness and these books always leave me feeling good.

This book takes us on a different path. For the first time, instead of the focus being on Anna Albertini, we get to follow her older sister Tessa. We have been watching Tessa and Nick sniff around each other for some time and I think everyone BUT Tessa knew what was going on. Regardless, it was fun following along as these two finally got their acts together.

The mystery itself, and the murders, were intriguing and definitely had me wondering. This was one that I did not figure out before hand. That, to me, is a very good thing. I like being surprised by books and unfortunately, it doesn't happen as much as I would like it to.

So - now we wait for book 6. I wonder who that one is going to be about.

I really thought this was going to be a strong small-town romance with a little bit of mystery thrown in. I enjoyed the first 7o odd pages but then everything just became ridiculous!

The story was a mess and the romantic relationship between Tessa and Nick was rushed, and lacked any chemistry. I wasn't even interested in the murder mystery as it was just so unbelievable. Tessa's lack of reaction to finding dead bodies was just so odd and made it feel like a minor inconvenience to the plot. "Oh, a dead body in my basement... anyway, better open up the diner!" "Oh, I've just been in a shooting... better open up the diner!" I just wanted so much more from all the characters.

Also, if there's that many murders in a small town I'd be packing my bags and moving ASAP. This won't be an author I pick up again.

I have been waiting for Tessa and Nick's story forever, and it definitely didn't disappoint. The storyline is funny with alot of twists and turns that you really didn't expect, the grandma's are hilarious as always the Hens detectives agency is the perfect name. I definitely recommend tis book.

As usual, the Albertini sisters do not disappoint and entertain quite a bit, though never as much as their grandmothers and their detective agency. This time then there was also Nick as the main character and world hottie, so really the crème de la crème.

Come al solito le sorelle Albertini non deludono e divertono parecchio, anche se mai come le loro nonne e la loro agenzia investigativa. Stavolta poi c'era anche Nick come personaggio principale e strafigo mondiale, quindi davvero la crème de la crème.

Lively story, fine for a quick read when you just want to have fun for a couple of hours, but not as good as the first few in the series. The books are so formulaic now it's hard to really get involved.

Fast paced with many, many possible suspects. A very quick resolution with the criminal mastermind a complete surprise. Lots of twists a turns that probably don’t make sense if you dwell too long on them. But Tessa and Nick are a terrific couple.

Tessa Albertini has just purchased the Silver Sadie bar in Silverville. Sadie Brando sold it to her for cash, a handshake, and Tessa’s promise to go on one date with each of Sadie’s nephews. The first date, with Bobbo, is tonight, but since he took her speed dating, Tessa starts the night at McCloskey’s with Bobbo but leaves with debonair hot stuff, Nick Basanelli, the local prosecutor. Passing by her new building, they stop to investigate a light and discover a body!

The first four chapters of Tessa’s Trust had me salivating. I love Rebecca Zanetti and this set up had me thinking of sexy romance, hilarious comedy, and slick murder mystery all rolled into one. Hands were rubbed gleefully. Well … One out of three isn’t too bad, right?

I’ve been waiting awhile for Tessa and Nick to find each other and am finally rewarded. These two are hot between the sheets. However, Tessa is really stubborn about being “being able to take care of myself” and “wanting to avoid heartbreak by not getting too involved.” There’s playing it safe and then there’s annoying. And I was getting annoyed.

When bad things happen, Tessa is both the prime suspect in some serious crimes and the target of some suspicious characters. As I continued to read, I found less and less enjoyment. I felt very frustrated for the better part of the book. Who’s trying to scare and frame Tessa? Who I am angry with? Am I angry at Tessa for being so dense and gullible, for whoever is setting her up (so poorly I might add), for the authorities for being such amateurs regarding Tessa being framed, or maybe I’m just mad at Jolene Sullivan. I’m always mad when Jolene Sullivan is around. She’s forever hanging around whichever male MC is the love interest at the time. Mark my words, she is going to find Detective Grant Pierce fascinating in the next book.

I’m happy for Tessa and Nick, but the denouement of the murder mystery embodied haste, disbelief, and disappointment. I think I need the next Anna and Aidan book to pick up my spirits.

It was much more fun to watch Tessa and Nick avoid their grandmothers' matchmaking.

Contessa "Tessa" Albertini has finally purchased the restaurant of her dream, or her dream after a lot of elbow grease. It only cost $150,000, in cash, but when a body is found in the basement and the little old lady Tessa gave her money to disappears into the wind, Tessa proves that it isn't only little sister, Anna, who can get herself into a dangerous predicament.

Prosecutor Nick Basanelli has been ducking the latest attempts by his grandmother  and her BFF Nonna Albertini to match him with Tessa, until he realizes that he should be offended that Tessa is even more objectionable to their matchmaking than he is.   When someone tries to frame Tessa for murder and then takes a shot at her, Nick is suddenly certain that he is the only thing standing between Tessa and danger and he will whether she likes it or not.

THOUGHTS:
I am confused on my feelings on this whole story. I enjoyed Tessa and Nick trying to duck their combined grandmother's attempts at matchmaking and ignoring their obvious attraction to each other on many of the prior Anna Albertini stories, so why once we got their HEA was I feeling pretty "meh" over the whole thing. Did I simply enjoy the chase more than I enjoyed Nick's caveman, overprotectiveness of Tessa? Something about once they were together was just off for me.

Even for an Anna Albertini story, the storyline was a little far fetched with bodies suddenly showing up, and a missing little old lady and false Deeds stealing the property from Tessa. The whole deal was questionable from the start, and her lawyer sister tried to stop the middle of the night secret all-cash transaction, but Tessa trusted the owner of "Shady Sadie's." Tessa really didn't know what she was getting herself into and I think she should have stuck with her friends at the diner.

I love the Anna stories and the cousin short-stories but oddly enough, Tessa and Nick were much more fun when they were trying to avoid getting entangled with each other.

This series started with Anna Albertini and her misadventures. Along the way, I have fallen in love with all of Anna’s family and the people of the remote area in which she lives, as I’m sure most other readers have. I’m so glad the author has started giving us their stories. As much as I enjoy Anna’s exploits, I’ve been itching for Tessa and Nick to finally give in to their chemistry. This story didn’t disappoint.

I don’t know if I should feel more sorry for the Albertini sisters or the people around them; if there’s trouble to be had they will find it. Not that it’s their fault. It just falls in their laps! I’ve always loved Tessa. It’s been obvious from things she’s said in previous books that she feels people don’t see her. She’s the middle child with sisters on either side of her that are highly successful. She’s never had the desire to go to college but is an extremely hard worker. The fact that she’s a waitress means she’s often underestimated. Turns out a lot of people see that ambition and drive and Tessa has assumed people didn’t hold her to the same regard as her sisters. Everyone seems to love and respect her. Including Nick.

Nick is a bit of a surprise. I knew he was a good guy and also a total alpha, I didn’t realize how long he’d been holding a torch for Tessa. Now that Tessa’s life is possibly in danger and it looks like she’s being framed for murder, his protective instincts kick in. Tess and Nick being in constant close proximity also means Nick is done waiting for Tessa to realize how great they are together. No matter how different their lives seem on the outside, he knows they fit together perfectly and both want the same things in life. He’s persistent while also giving her some breathing room making him the perfect mix of spicy and sweet.

As always, the senior citizens bring laughter and light-heartedness when things are getting grim. I can only hope to be so revered and feared as I age.

Tessa’s Trust is the latest installment of Rebecca Zanetti’s Anna Albertini Files series. I adore this perfect combination of romcom and romantic suspense. It includes mystery, humor and a bit of steam, and is an absolute delight.

This book focuses on Anna’s sister Tessa, who’s in the process of purchasing her own restaurant after years of waitressing. But when a dead body turns up at her new place, it’s all hands on deck to clear her name. Everyone includes hottie Attorney Nick Basanelli, who Tessa has been exchanging heated glances with for years. With both their Italian grandmothers determined to matchmake, do they any chance at staying apart? And does Tessa even have time for a romance while being shot at, working her current job, and attempting to clear her name?

Tessa and Nick are great. She doesn’t think she’s good enough for him, since he has political ambitions and she never went to college. But Nick proves through words and deeds that he’s all in, and Tessa is his one and only.

The setting and secondary characters are also top notch. No one creates a chilly atmosphere of doom with a snowstorm like Zanetti. Once the flakes start to fall, the reader knows that snow will only add to the obstacles Tessa has to overcome. And, as always in this series, the grandmothers and their older partners in crime are a hoot. They don’t let age slow them down, and it works to their advantage when people underestimate them.

What a fun book! Tessa’s Trust is perfect if you like romantic suspense with a large dose of humor. While this particular installment can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend the entire series. Tessa and Nick are fantastic characters, and I can’t wait to see them operate as a couple in the next installment, which once again focuses on Anna Albertini. With a bit of romance, mystery and steam, this series always hits just right.

A Custom-Made Pool Cue...

AlbertiniFiles5

Don’t Mess Around with Tess!

I mean, we already know Anna takes no prisoners, but back the fudge up for Contessa.

As the middle O’Shea-Albertini, in a house full of women, it was hard for Tessa to make her mark. Donna got the grades and the Italian looks, and Anna got kidnapped. So, people decided Tessa was the “Wild Child” and that label stuck.

But Tessa wasn’t wild, she was just driven. She has worked in food service since the age of fourteen, has her own place, and aside from a couple of bum boyfriends, has quietly dreamed. And set aside her tips. Enough to pay a hundred fifty thousand dollars for her own restaurant, cash on the barrelhead.

The contract needs two witnesses, and has a couple of unusual clauses, but with help from no one, Tessa has space for her dreams. Then a stranger rushes in, saying he owns the building... and things get wonky from there. The previous owner and her witness dismiss the claim, and the guy leaves.

Then that guy ends up dead - stabbed - in the basement with a quick claim deed on his chest, and no one can find the owner to clear things up. Uhhh, what?

One of the clauses in the contract requires Tessa to go on one date with each of the grandnephews of the previous owner within a week of closing. These are hilarious, and Tessa goes to jail after each one. Yes, each. One. And, Nick Basenelli takes her home after each one. Yes. Each. One.

You have to read this, don’t just take my word for it. What a hoot!

So amazing!

Wow! So, I'm the type of person that writes my reviews based on how the book makes me feel and how engaging it is rather than retelling the story because I feel that you can read the synopsis to know what the book's going to be about. That being said, I must admit, I wasn't sure how I was going to feel reading/ listening to the story with Anna and Aiden not being the main characters for the story. Granted, the novellas are different and focus on cousins. However, because they have been male, it didn't make a lot of difference to me. So, all that being said, having Tessa and Nick as the main characters in the story turned out to be phenomenal! Oh my goodness, I loved every single moment of their story. I absolutely adore Tessa. She has such a fun and interesting personality. Nick... what can I say... hot, sexy, alpha male! Again, I was stumped as to who was the 'bad guy'. The story was wrapped up rather quickly at the end. However, in my opinion, it did not detract from the story at all. I listened to the audible version, and before the audible version, I read the ebook and would highly recommend this story to anyone who enjoys the Anna Albertini series! Excellent, phenomenal story with all of the right 'feels'. I absolutely can't wait for the next book in the series!

My least favorite of the five I've read so far – but still a solid and satisfying addition to this series. A lot of repetition continues in the backtracking details and physical descriptions of this family of characters. It's understandable though in order to make each book work as a standalone.

I wasn’t overly wowed by either Tessa or Nick (both of whom fell below the scale set by Anna/Aiden). The “match” between Tessa and Nick didn’t burn as brightly or hotly. It felt shallow and came across as blah and overly rushed. This round, the grannies continued stirring the pot while plotting marriages and playing detectives! They kept me highly amused and giggling.

Another round of solid suspense though. I wasn’t sure of the whodunit until right before the big reveal. That keeps me involved and I like being held in suspense!

So, happily continuing to move forward with this riotous series. Certainly not boring. Plus, the next book takes us back to Anna and Aiden in Habeas Corpus!

The Albertini Sisters are a trip OMG

I seriously love this series. Even though it's a suspense/thriller okay maybe not thriller type read you seriously have to laugh out loud at how these girls get themselves into all kinds of crap. Tessa was considered the wild one but hmmm nah I think she's just headstrong and determined. I loved her and Nick together. I was a little shocked at the turn of events and who killed who LOL. I know it shouldn't be funny but in a way it was. In the beginning I was a little disappointed in Sadie. I really thought she scammed Tessa but I was pleasantly surprised in the end. Yes I loved that Aiden and Anna made appearances I love them as a couple. Now I have a question who is Rory and what does he do and what's with his girlfriend? Serenity???? Will we see him in a book also with explanations. Time will tell. For everyone out there reading this review YOU HAVE TO READ THE ANNA ALBERTINI FILES SERIES. It's a must.

Another Albertini Sister. Anna isn't the only Albertini sister who gets in trouble without trying. Dead bodies seem to find Tessa, too. Nick Basanelli turns up to save Tessa. Even though she doesn't think their lives mesh, she certainly likes the way he saves her. He thinks they do fit together. Tessa has just purchased a restaurant but there has been a murder there already. If events go the same way for Tessa as for Anna, they won't go smoothly. Especially when Tessa is accused of murdering the man who filed for ownership of the restaurant before her. I like the way the grandmas have formed their own private investigative business. They also try to keep setting Nick and Tessa up. There are hilarious moments in the book along with a lot of mystery and suspense. Even though I just finished this wonderful book, I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.

Anna's sister, Tessa, is the focus this time and, in true Albertini style, is followed by murder, intrigue, interfering matchmaking grannies and a hot DA who's focused on her.

I love Zanetti's writing and this is a great series. This story is a bit whackier than the others (a bit more Keystone Cops than Grisham) and lacks some of the slick writing that is Zanetti's usual style. There are lots of laughs but it's let down a little by sloppy editing: we're told a key character is about 30 but that his father died about 50 years ago?!?!? Or cabernet wine is suddenly merlot, then cabernet again. Or the odd wrong word ('alone' instead of 'along'). All minor slips, perhaps, but annoying all the same from a writer that usually produces very polished text. Still, look past the weak editing & it's a great story. Looking forward to more Anna & Aiden.

Tessa Albertini had the reputation of being the wild child, but with the hours she puts in working at the diner she lucky to do more than get at good nights sleep. But then she buys a restaurant and almost immediately is immersed in a murder mystery. These things used to only happened to Anna, her younger sister, but now Tessa is attracting all the wrong kind of attention.

The grandmothers have been plotting to get Tessa and Nick together, and this might be the year it happens. Doesn’t matter that they have such different plans for the future, not when the attraction heats up. Then Tessa is in danger and Nick’s alpha protector mode kicks in.

I’ve had so much fun reading this series, especially all the quirky characters and the troubles that follow the Albertina sisters.

Tessa’s Trust😍

Nick and Tessa’s story is finally here and I loved it❣️Tessa has finally begun her journey to owning her own restaurant and is buying Silver Sadie’s off of the infamous Sadie herself. Unfortunately, things go pear shaped quickly when a body is discovered downstairs in her newly purchased building and when she discovers her apartment has been broken into as well😢

Nick is luckily with her through most of this and when not, both sides of the Albertini family get involved in all shenanigans which are hilarious😂

Man I love these characters and stories and I’m super happy Tessa and Nick “found” each other😍 Eagerly awaiting Rory’s story next👏

Love This Series

This is a fantastic series and each story has humor, suspense and hot romance. Their grandmothers have been trying to get them together for years. Nick is a prosecutor and lives up to his Italian ancestry as he’s handsome, charming and hot blooded. Tess is an Albertini sister and trouble seems to be their middle name. Tess is finally realizing her dream of opening up her own restaurant. She’s just made a deal with old Sadie but before she even has a chance to move in a body is found in her basement. This is the second one in the last few months and the law is looking at Tess. Then her ownership of the new building is contested and Sadie has disappeared. In the meantime Nick has decided to let her know that he wants a chance for a relationship. Add in the matchmaking, interfering grandmothers and their hilarious friends and it’s a story you can’t stop reading.

Contessa “Tessa” Carmelina Albertini & Nick Basanelli.

Tessa is Anna’s middle sister, who looks more Irish than Italian. Tessa has been working at Smiley’s diner since she was 14. She has dreams of owning her own restaurant and makes a cash deal to take over Silver Sadie’s from the elderly Sadie. Part of the deal is that Tessa gives each of Sadie’s grand-nephews a single date. Needless to say, they aren’t the most charming prospects.

In the meantime, Tessa keeps dancing around Nick Basanelli, the local prosecutor. Both her grandmother and his have decided to play matchmaker. The chemistry is there, Tessa just fears Nick has ambitions to political office in D.C. and Tessa wants her own little restaurant empire right here in the town she grew up in. Like Anna, Tessa seems to attract trouble, but Nick is all to happy to play protector.

Quirky lovable cast of characters.
