I loved the opening scene with Nolan sitting in a booth at a diner, trying to scribe notes, but completely distracted by his favorite waitress, Camila. He frequents the diner solely for her. It was obvious that he’s been a patron for some time, with her as his server, because of the familiarity they had with one another. After serving Nolan coffee, Camila slipped into the booth and asked about the case he was working on. I loved that he offered her his coffee because she looked exhausted. The interaction was short and sweet - literally and figuratively - but it pulled me into both of them.
Nolan is obviously obsessed with Camila, but she is equally obsessed with him. They are both emotionally attached to one another, although they don’t admit it straight away.
This novella was labeled as a dark stalker romance. I can’t say it was dark, but we all have different triggers. I didn’t think it was dark at all. I also didn’t think it fell into the stalker trope. Nolan is a PI and he knew more about Camila than he should as a diner regular. He knew her schedule and routine. He didn’t stalk her on scene and there wasn’t a whole lot of angst. I still enjoyed Nolan and Camila’s story for what it was.

Camilla is a waitress who works the late shift at a local diner and there is one reason for that, and that reason has a name. Nolan has occupied her thoughts and evenings since they first met, all she really knows is that he is private investigator and has an extremely sweet tooth. He is as much of a mystery to her as he was that very first night, she needs answers but when she starts asking questions has, she scared him off or is there another reason for his absence?
Nolan never expected to fins love in a diner he accidentally came across one night but it took one look at the waitress to know where he was going to be spending his nights from then on, he hadn’t expected that his forbidden hidden treasure would come to mean more than life itself, as a man who spends his life investigating cheating spouses can he really put his trust in love and what will he decide when it comes to Camilla’s safety, risk being in her life or walk away?
There was nothing dark in this book as far as I am concerned, it was just a sweet story to me, and I look forward to the next one. A solid 4* read.

I really enjoyed this stalker romance. He’s obsessed with her and everything about her, but doesn’t feel like he deserves her. She wants him more than anything and is willing to make the first move if necessary. Nolan and Camila are so fantastic together. I loved the inner turmoil of Nolan while he struggles between his need for her and his need to protect her. He worries that his life as a private investigator will bring danger to her, and he’s not wrong. Danger comes calling and Nolan will have to find her and realize that she’s actually safest when she’s with him. Plenty of steam to add heat to this stalker romance and a really great ending.

This is a short, sweet, cheesy read. It explores the story of Nolan and Camila and their journey to their HEA.
It can be read in under one hour. It has a workable plot but I felt it dragged on a bit in some areas.
There was no character development for the two lead characters. It was just as if they appeared from nowhere into the story-no talk of their past or what have you.
I will recommend if you are looking for something short to read.

i enjoyed this book and it was a good short read. i loved the characters Nolan and Camilla. Nolan is an older guy and he is obsessive with Camilla, which might not be a good thing if you look at it that way. Nolan could be classed as a stalker. Only Camilla was watching him too and they both fell for each other. It took some time and it was Camilla who made the first move, good for her. It was definitely over the top but in a good way.

Nolan is a private investigator and is often working nights. He one day stays at a diner when he meets Camila the graveyard shift waitress. He is instantly obsessed with her but tries to stay away, but a coffee every night is still ok😉 Camila fell hard and fast for Nolan too. Now they finally get their chance at a HEA 🥰🥰 Instalove, sweet, romantic and safe with a sweet HEA 😍😍😍

The author has given us a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Nolan and Camila and does not let go. The story keeps us turning the pages with obsession, danger and connection.

3.5 stars. Sweet, short read. I did not get dark stalker vibe at all. Felt slow moving at times so I feel like I picked it up and put it down a lot. Lots of hints at what ends up happening to Camilla early on so not much surprise or suspense there. I did like the ending and HEA for these two.

Im usually the one that sill gladly enjoy a plotless spicy short story. This short story however was not that. Idk how the author found a way to fit in a full plot and a few steamy scenes, but boy am I grateful.
