Community Tip | Easily hyperlink your text

In the post editor, you can click on the icon below to add a link in your post and choose the title and displayed text. I think this is already known.Capture d’écran 2022-05-09 à 00.10.07.png

Yet, there is an easier, faster way:

Copy the link in your clipboard, select the text that you'd like to hyperlink, then just paste (ctrl/cmd+V) the link over the selected text as if you were replacing it. The text will not be replaced, but it will show in the typical underlined blue format with your link added.

Also check this tip: Auto title your links.

After entering a bare URL into your new post, click the link (while still in the composer) and choose Auto title

In addition: Ctrl+K after selecting the text 😉

@Aurelien Didn’t know that, thank you!

I use a bunch of keyboard shortcuts everytime, this one works almost everywhere 😉

For reference:
Keyboard shortcuts | Docs | TinyMCE

Some of them are not implemented here anyway

Having to use my mouse extensively is my greatest complaint regarding this forum platform.
