Environment, Climate and Nature Protection

The Ministry of the Environment, Energy and Climate is responsible for most matters concerning environmental protection and nature conservation. However, environmental issues are often cross-sectoral, as most industries and other human activities generally impact the natural environment. As a result, many issues fall under the responsibility of several ministries or are subject to inter-ministerial co-ordination.
