As for investment pieces, this can look like a lairy collection of Marni jumpers and cardigans, a typically pricey layering piece (think puffer jackets, cashmere knitwear, the best men's overshirts, trenches and just about all types of coats & jackets) or even something practical, like running gear or oft-spenny gym leggings.
If you’re going the wardrobe basic path though? Think pure cotton crew necks, stiff Japanese denim jeans, cosy tracksuits, or a hardy pair of Converse. Whatever it is you’re going for, for the love of the Fashion Gods, avoid a novelty trend that you’ll wear once and forever stare at in the back of your wardrobe.
