Lee Jun Ho King the Land best K-dramas

King the Land was THE romantic comedy series of 2023 that K-drama fans had been craving for the longest time! While the office romance trope has been the central plot for many of our favourite Korean dramas like What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim and Business Proposal, what makes King the Land even more refreshing is the heart-fluttering chemistry between 2PM member Lee Jun Ho and Girls’ Generation member YoonA.

In the eccentric workplace rom-com K-drama, Goo Won (Lee Jun Ho), heir to The King Group and Director of King Hotel, gets tangled with Cheon Sa Rang (YoonA), a hotelier who gets promoted to King Hotel’s VVIP Lounge King the Land. While Sa Rang always has a smile on her face, Goo Won despises that very fact about her. Eventually, amidst their bickering a love story blossoms. While Jun Ho is already a popular multi-hyphenate celebrity with a massive fan following, his captivating performance in King the Land further added to his charming personality.

If you loved Lee Jun Ho in King the Land, here are 4 other K-dramas starring the 2 PM member that are just as entertaining:

1. The Red Sleeve – Viki

First on our list is undoubtedly The Red Sleeve. Based on Kang Mi Kang’s eponymous novel, the romance saeguk (historical drama) is a fictionalised account of the royal court romance between King Jeongjo/Yi San (Lee Jun Ho) and his Royal Noble Consort Ui Bin Seong/Seong Deok Im (Lee Se Young). While the King of Joseon puts his duty towards his country above love, court lady Seong Deok Im wants to live and protect the life of her own choice, rather than just being referred to as one of “the King’s women.” For his enthralling performance in The Red Sleeve, Jun Ho took home two Baeksang Awards for Best Actor – Television and Most Popular Actor.

2. Rain or Shine – Disney+ Hotstar

An underrated Lee Jun Ho K-drama pick is Rain or Shine. The romantic melodrama explores the lives of Lee Kang Doo (Lee Jun Ho) and Ha Moon Soo (Won Jin Ah), who try to move past the pain of having lost a loved one in a tragic accident that killed 48 people. Kang Doo, who lost his father in the accident, is a former athlete with dreams of becoming a professional soccer player. However, he had to undergo three years of rehabilitation for his injured legs. On the other hand, Moon Soo, who lost her younger sister in the accident, puts up a strong, fierce front while taking care of her mother. Through growing pains disguised within tough exteriors, the two fall in love.

While he initially plans to embezzle good money from TQ Group, he eventually has a change of heart as he gets closer to his colleagues, even fighting for the employees’ fundamental rights. He finds his bickering bro in Seo Yul (Lee Jun Ho), a former ace prosecutor who gets appointed by TQ Group’s chairman as the Director of Finance.
