Having been in the film industry for over 12 years now, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has built a massive net worth for herself. As per Zoom, Prabhu boasts of a wealth of Rs 80 crore.

The actor, who currently lives in a luxurious home at Anna Poorna Studios, Jubliee Hill in Hyderabad, has bought a new home in suburban Mumbai worth a whopping Rs 15 crore, per TOI. Reportedly, it's a sea-facing three-bedroom apartment in a skyscraper.

Last year, another leading South actor - Rashmika Mandanna - had also purchased a home in the financial capital.

Prabhu, meanwhile, is currently shooting for her second Bollywood project tentatively titled Citadel, alongside Varun Dhawan. Citadel is helmed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K.
The spy series, which is the India chapter of the Citadel franchise, will launch on Prime Video in more than 240 countries.

Prabhu had earlier worked with Nidimoru and Krishna DK on Prime Video's Family Man 2.

"When Prime Video and Raj and DK approached me with this project, I decided to take it up in a heartbeat! After working with this team on The Family Man, it is a homecoming for me," Prabhu was quoted as saying by Indian Express.

"The Citadel universe, the interconnected storylines between the productions across the globe, and most importantly, the script of the Indian installment really excited me. I am thrilled to be a part of this brilliant universe conceptualised by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO. I am also looking forward to be working with Varun for the first time, on this project. He is someone who is full of life and cheer when you’re around him," she added.

Prabhu is currently gearing up for the release of her Telugu film Shaakuntalam, the release of which has been indefinitely postponed.

Based on a play of the same name by Kalidasa, Shaakuntalam features Prabhu in the lead role of Shakuntala and Dev Mohan as Dushyanta, the king of Puru dynasty. Other actors in the movie are Mohan Babu, Jisshu Sengupta and Aditin Balan among others.
