Please be my Golden Valentine
Take me in, say you’ll be mine
To cherish and love, greet with a grin
Give golden kisses on your chin.
I may need some care and to be fed
And perhaps your soft pillow to rest my head.
For just those few things, such rewards you’ll receive
Daily greetings, golden sweetness – oh please believe
You’ll not find such loyalty as I will give
As I adore you more with each day I live.
With my golden smile, my love I can’t hide
Living each day to the fullest, with you by my side.
Yes I’ll be your Golden Valentine
Can’t imagine anything more fine
Than caring for you, making sure you’re fed
Providing you with a comfy soft bed
Seeing your thanks through your gentle-eyed gaze
As I give you everything you deserve, always
Making up for past rough times you have had
Replacing them with love, erasing the sad
Though I don’t deserve the unconditional love you will give
I will cherish every minute of it, each day we both live.
