Although the launch of the new generation of OnePlus is still far away, we already know a lot about them. Recently we learned the secrets of OnePlus 12, and now it's time for its cheaper variant, i.e. the successor to OnePlus 11R 5G.
Its details were revealed to us by leakster OnLeaks on MySmartPrice. On the renders shown by him, we can see that the OnePlus 12R 5G will stand out at most in color - in terms of style, it is identical to this year's model. Both the rear island with three cameras and flash, and the front with the selfie camera in the hole in the middle of the top edge of the screen with rounded edges look familiar.
Luckily, that doesn't mean we won't see changes. The first two cameras on the back are still the main 50 Mpx and wide-angle 8 Mpx, but instead of the 2 Mpx macro camera we will see an element known from the OnePlus 11 - a 32 Mpx portrait telephoto lens with a 2x optical zoom. On the front, we will see a typical 16 Mpx.

The OnePlus 12R 5G display will be similar to its predecessors, and probably rightly so, because it's hard to complain about it - we have a 6.7-inch AMOLED with a resolution of 1.5 K and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The battery promises to be better - still charged with 100 W, but this time offering a capacity of 5500 mAh. There was also a better processor - the OnePlus 12R will receive Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is currently the best. At the beginning of 2024, it will no longer be the best, but it will certainly not disappoint with performance. It will be accompanied by 16 GB of RAM, 256 GB of internal memory and the Oxygen OS 14 interface based on the Android 14 operating system.
The successor to OnePlus 11R will debut in China in January 2024, and its global premiere will probably take place shortly thereafter. Equipped to match and in some cases even exceed OnePlus 11 specs, it will undoubtedly appeal to many people.
