The chassis makes a great first impression, but it’s not as fresh-looking as the Hyte Y60 was. The Y70 touch looks bigger and wider than the mentioned model. The increase in size allows it to fit bigger graphic cards and higher (by 20 mm) CPU coolers. Hyte Y70 Touch is made of a steel structure with a three-panel design; one is the Touch screen. The left side panel is tempered glass, completely clean, without visible mounting screws.
The opposite side panel is steel, with several L-shaped cutouts/vents. The overall quality is excellent. The following motherboard form factors are supported:
·
E-ATX
·
ATX
·
uATX,
·
mini
ITX,
It’s a mid-size chassis, measuring 470 × 320 × 470 (L × W × H) (L x W x H), which amounts to 70.7 l of volume. The weight (13.2 kg) makes the case stable without the hardware.
The front has a design with a glass panel, but the sliced corner makes all the difference with the LCD screen. It’s protected with two layers of plastic.
The same type of vent as on the side is found on the top. Pull it off to reveal a (removable) mounting bracket for two 140 or three 120 mm fans. You can use this space for a 280 or 360 mm AIO (the radiator would be attached underneath, on the interior ceiling). In such a setup, the radiator is attached to the fans underneath the interior roof.
On the underside, HYTE has placed a removable cover that acts as a dust filter for the three 120 mm fans on the floor (or two 140 mm).
