Natural Resource

  • A natural resource is like a minerals . They come from nature.
  • I found a natural resource today; it was zinc.

Natural Resource

Renewable resources

  • A renewable resource is when it comes back quickly; we have it again.
  • Renewable resources come back quicker than non-renewable resources.

Non-renewable resources

  • It doesn't come back quickly. We've used it all up. There's no more left.
  • Coal is a non-renewable resource ,because if we use it up we have no more left.

Fossil fuel

  • It's from the past, its a fuel such as coal and gas.
  • We uses fossil fuels in our car, cause we put gas in our car.

Natural Gas

  • its a fuel. it has petroleum.
  • Natural gas has petroleum in it , just like a lot of stuff.

coal

  • it is widely used as a fuel. Found underground.
  • Coal is used to fuel our car.

acid precipitation

  • any type of precipitation with acid that form in the atmosphere .
  • Acid precipitation can mess up your car.

smog

  • fog or haze combined with smoke and other atmospheric pollutants
  • There is a large amount of smog in L.A.

nuclear energy

  • energy that is used to generate electricity.
  • Nuclear energy is used for electricity in different places.

chemical energy

  • energy that is available for release from chemical reactions.
  • Chemical energy is in the food you eat , and batteries.

solar energy

  • energy from the sun.
  • Solar energy can heat the earth with the sun.

wind energy

  • generated by converting wind currents into other forms of energy using wind turbines.

hydroelectric energy

  • energy generated by moving water converted to electricity.
  • Hydroelectric energy is used in buildings so people can see what they are doing.

biomass

  • used as a fuel, also used to generate electricity.
  • We use biomass in our home.

geothermal

  • produced by the internal heat of the Earth .
  • Geothermal is produced by heat from the Earth.
