Hamilton prides itself on representing a true cross section of Los Angeles including serving students from over 100 zip codes in one of its two magnets dedicated to Performing Arts and Humanities, its School for the Advanced Studies program, and its two neighborhood small schools dedicated to Business and the Visual Arts. Over the course of Hami’s 90 year history, we are proud of the famous alums we taught such as Lizzie Caplan, Kamasi Washington, Karen Bass and Warren Moon, and we strive to reach each student’s interest whether music, the arts, business or sports, so they can go on to be the best they can be.

Principal's Message

I am the proud principal of Hamilton High School. I am thrilled at the prospect of having you join our school community for the upcoming academic year. Hamilton High School has a rich history, full of traditions along with strong academic programs and a multitude of extracurricular activities and clubs. With two magnet schools and three small learning communities, Hamilton High School has much to offer prospective students. 
 
We are unconditionally committed to providing the best possible educational program to our students. We believe that there are numerous opportunities, both within our curricula and through extracurricular activities, for our students to gain the skills that will allow them to be successful in future college and career opportunities. 
 
Our diversity is our strength. Hamilton High School is the most diverse school in LAUSD. I am honored to be the principal of such an amazing school. We love our students and we love our staff.

The School Experience Survey is an annual survey that provides us with important feedback from teachers, staff, students, and parents. All students must bring proof of parent survey submission (printout or screenshot) to the Parent Center (Room 109). You can also text a copy of your proof to 323-250-6634
