Inside the iconic Portsmouth sea forts transformed into luxury hotels
The two forts are on sale for around £4million each
Two sea forts just off the Portsmouth coastline were originally built to help thwart any attempt at a French invasion during the 19th century.
Having taken more than 20 years to build, Spitbank Fort and No Man’s Fort were then repurposed as an army barracks and equipped with guns during the First World War. Each were also fitted with a boom defence to ward off submarines during the Second World War.
However, the forts have since been transformed into luxury hotels containing multiple bars, a spa, fire pit and sun deck among other impressive facilities and the stunning views of the Portsmouth coast.
