The 2024 presidential election is almost here, and with so much on the ballot this year, it’s time to make plans to vote. As Tuesday, November 5 approaches, we’ve rounded up the registration deadlines in all 50 states to make sure you’re ready to enter the voting booth (or send in your absentee ballot). Even if you believe you are registered to vote, double-check your voter registration status, as many states have updated their voter rolls this year.
Each state has a different voter registration process and deadline. Some allow same-day voter registration, while others offer preregistration—which allows 17-year-olds to register if they’re turning 18 by Election Day. Keep reading to find information on your state.
