Robert Durst Fred Durst - H 2015
AP ImagesLimp Bizkit former frontman Fred Durst is reminding fans — and The Associated Press — with his sweatshirt that he is not real estate mogul and accused murderer Robert Durst.
In an Instagram post on Thursday evening, Fred Durst posted a photo of himself wearing a gray sweatshirt that reads “NOT ROBERT” in all capital letters, accompanied by an “I am NOT ROBERT” caption.
The previous bandmember was clearly not amused at the incorrect broadcast wire issued by The AP that read: “A Louisiana State Police trooper says millionaire Robert Durst has been booked on weapons charges in that state — on top of a first-degree murder charge lodged by Los Angeles authorities. Trooper Melissa Matey told the Associated Press that an arrest warrant was issued for the former Limp Bizkit frontman and he was rebooked in the Orleans Parish Jail on Monday under two new charges.”
AP issued a correction for the mistake: “In the second item of the California 10th NewsMinute sent March 16 to users of the state broadcast wire, The Associated Press reported erroneously that Robert Durst is a member of a band. He is a real estate heir; Fred Durst is the former frontman of Limp Bizkit.”
Robert Durst recently made headlines for his “killed them all” confession on The Jinx.
