Hot Springs Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2278 Auxiliary President Melanie Austin, right, gives a tour Monday of the local headquarters to Arkansas VFW Commander Rosalyn Cox, left, Arkansas Auxiliary President Becky Lamb, Arkansas Junior Vice President Laurie Herman and National VFW Auxiliary President Colette Bishop, of Muscatine, Iowa. Bishop was touring posts across Arkansas and had stopped at the Hot Springs Village VFW Post earlier that day. Bishop was elected president July 27, 2016, following a long history with the VFW organization and is the third generation in her family to serve as auxiliary and district president.
