Community Outreach
We Are Always Looking for an Opportunity to Give Back.
Early on in the history of IDA, we dedicated ourselves to creating and fostering excellence in our services. We’ve extended this philosophy to the community around us and the people we can help with our experience and resources. Throughout the year, we find opportunities to participate with other local businesses or governing bodies to encourage economic growth or community action. We take advantage of these chances because we believe in the power of teamwork and shared knowledge. Our employees and owner have spent years gathering experience and expertise. The team at IDA Technology is always ready to lend a helping hand or learn something new from the community around us.

IDA Technology hosted a luncheon and training session on May 17, 2009 for “Reboot 2.0” students from the Workforce Solutions Borderplex. Reboot 2.0 is a special information technology training initiative for youth 16 years and up, who have not completed high school and/or are currently not attending school.
The 11-week course provides its youth participants with the tools to earn the highly coveted CompTIA A+ information technology certification, while attaining the experience and skillsets towards becoming an IT expert. The Reboot 2.0 program provides youth who are lacking direction with the opportunity to discover a viable pathway to exciting jobs, further education and entrepreneurship, setting them on a path to a meaningful livelihood.
Von Washington and the team at IDA presented IT and general technical career options to the nine students in attendance. Lucio Glen, Project Coordinator for the Workforce Re-Entry & Rural Area Youth Program said that the students were “very excited” to participate and “learn about” IDA.
