Until now, the truly massive LEGO Rivendell set has been a LEGO Store exclusive. But now this 6,167-piece set is finally available at Amazon. It still sports the (rather hefty) price tag of $499.99 -- but if you can afford it, it's worth it. Check out our We Build LEGO Rivendell feature to see how cool it is to put together. LEGO Lord of the Rings Rivendell (10316)
Fans of the books and films will remember Rivendell is the ornate forest dwelling of Elrond and other elves of Middle-earth. It’s where the gang gets together to embark on their journey to destroy the ring in The Fellowship of the Ring.
To depict that memorable scene, the set comes with 15 minifigures, including all nine members of the Fellowship (see below for the full list).
The set is comprised of three sections and a number of rooms shown in the movie. There’s the Council Ring, where the group discuses what to do with the ring. There’s Frodo’s bedroom, where he recovers after being injured by the Ringwraiths. Also included are Elrond’s study, an elven tower, a gazebo, river, and bridge.
