Unions
When you first start playing Kingdom Hearts Unchained X, you choose one of five factions, called Unions, to join up with. This choice is important because it will determine what people you are paired up with and what partner medals will be available to you on quests. Outside of this, there are other bonuses for joining up with a specific Union.
When choosing a Union to join with, be mindful and certain on your decision. You are able to switch to a different Union later once per week, but each time you do so will cost you jewels and have other effects, including losing all of your gathered LUX for the week. Below are each of the five Unions you can join when playing the game.

| Angius | Union of the Cobra. The foreteller for this union is a women with a white hood and cobra mask wearing a blue and gold robe. |
| Leopardos | Union of the Leopard. The foreteller is a boy who wears a yellow hood with a leopard mask and yellow robes. |
| Unicornis | Union of the Unicorn. The foreteller is a man who wears a white hood with a unicorn mask and whie & blue robes. |
| Ursus | Union of the Bear. The foreteller is a man who wears a tan hood with a bear mask and brown robes. |
| Vulpeus | Union of the Fox. The foreteller is a girl who wears a link hood with a fox mask and white robes. |
